what are the fundamentals of south indian temple architecture.why are chola temples slightly different from pandyas and pallavas and chera architecture and vice versa?why is north indian architecture different from south indian.should temples according to agama shastras be made only of granite.can the multistoreyed structure with window type encountered in some north indian temples be accepted as a proper architecture?
i found the eklingji temple in rajasthan near udaipur to be different from other north temples.it belonged to 8 century ad.it was made from granite and was quite different from modern north indian temples.
