If you look at Indian TV (be it Sun TV, Zee TV or other A to Y Tvs), all hosts/hostesses, news readers, people in ads are all extremely fair-skinned. One gets the feeling that he is in an Arab country or something. If you look at the population, it is largely dark-skinned. WHy do producers/executives hate their own lot? SUNTV is even worst. None of the actors in ads are Tamils even when they market to Tamils. They are all north Indians or whites. I guess Tamils don't protest.

  I've noticed this while surfing the NET. This is purely nonsense. India is divided into STATES by their languages, thats right. But please don't look at the language, but their culture. Tamil is oldest language as well as the culture. Please we have to understand that. I am not a TAMILIAN.

  Everytime I see these responses from fellow Indians, it sickens me to think that we are all just a bunch of racist wanna be white people. What happenned to teachings of Gandhi and Krishna.   In India there are lot of TV Stars who are dark but cute.
  even in hollywood many nice black people are heroes and heroines.
  Well, nowdays the trend is northies are trying to imitate the western culture.
  Southies (especially tamil or telugu) are quite reserved.
  But in another 10 or 20 years, southies and northies will contribute equally in the entertainment industry.
