Tamils are living all over the world. The Tamils living in the countries like South Africa, Mauritius, Fiji, West Indies are the decendants of the
Tamils who had been shipped as indentured labours by British to these countries(in 19th century). They almost forgot their mother toungue. But they keep some of our culture. They are interesting to revive their(our)culture and learn Tamil language. How to encourage them from our side?
Write your suggestions.

One problem is Indian Embassies in these countries promote Hindi and Sanskrit. Celebrate Sanskri festivals etc. In fact Indian Government was active in destroying Tamil culture and identity in Burma in the 1960s.

How come my links don't show up as blue links?
Until Tamil Nadu is free and has its own embassies around the world, Tamil cannot be propagated to foreign Tamils.

A bunch of morons running a paper called "Tamil Tribune". You DMK goons tried that in the 1960s but fizzed out, only to have a woman kick your A$$es.
What is wrong in promoting Sanskrit, even in tamil nadu itself? Great Tamil poets like Valluvar, Sambandhar and Nammalwar praise Sanskrit so much. Why even the Tamil grammarian, Senavaraiyar says that Tamil belongs not only to Tamizh Nadu, but to the entire world.
You morons have been frauds of the first manner, deceiting people. You basically depend on the votes of the poor - and how do you make sure they vote you - by keeping them poor eternally!

Didn't Indian Government promote Hindi to the west Indies? It's funny, couple people from Trinidad told me that. Tamils descent definitely makes up for a lot of the West Indians.

Of course, Sanskrit is a great language. There is no wrong in promoting Sanskrit. But, there are so many supports to promoting Sanskrit. But for promoting Tamil language there is no support of any Government. This the actual issue to be discussed.
Govt. of India will not worry about Tamil language. It's not possible to get Tamil nadu
seperately.
So, we have to think of creating a private organization to overcome this issue. Otherwise
there will not be any Tamil identity in those countries in future.
A 'trust' or 'language promoting association' should be started. We should think it over very
seriousely.
Fund for the activities may be collected as donation from business men, Actors etc.
Instead of blaming the politicians let us think
what can we do for this.
