An organization can be a corporation, non-profit organization, political party, government body, movement or iyakam, church or temple, or civilian body.

(NATO, European Union, Muslim League, Microsoft, Cocoa-Cola, IEEE, Siva Sena, Hizabolla, LTTE are examples of organizations.)

The resources the organization commands, the number of people it can influence, and sustainability and efficiency of the organization can be measures of its power.

What I mean by "controlled by Tamils" is that the 51% ownership of a corporation or the majority of the leadership and membership of a given organization is from the Tamil community.

I previously suggested LTTE as the most powerful organization among Tamils, and perhaps even a model organization for its efficiency. I came under severe and rightful criticism. I now hold that LTTE can NOT be a model organization, because it lacks moral high ground. Also, its efficiency in achieving its goal of Eelam is questionable.

LTTE has committed criminal and unjustified acts. LTTE continues to involve itself in unjustified acts. LTTE has the potential for barbarism. However, this will not alter its current position as the most influential, important, and powerful organization among Tamils.

Common Eelam Tamils are willing to provide service, and resources to it. The ideologically bend and poor young Eelam Tamils fill their ranks. A sizeable intellectual community sympathizes and supports LTTE. Thus, LTTE is the most powerful organization controlled by Eelam Tamils.

For Indian Tamils, the ADMK, DMK may take the high ranks. But I would like some broad range suggestions. Can you identify corporations or churches or temples that are powerful enough to ranked among the above mentioned. I welcome all comments.

  You talk about Canadian Democracy, your LTTE ways of achieving democracy is by killing Tamils opposing to LTTE. LTTE does not know and practice in Democracy.
