I noticed a lot of Tamil names in the Guyanaca.com website. Is there Tamil identity exists at Guyana?

I heard that a mosque is there in Mortinique, a
Carribbean island and it's name is Nagoor meeran
mosque. It was built by the Tamil muslims who had
been shipped from Pondicherry by French.

Guyana has a population of about one million and Indians make up nearly 50% of the population of whom nearly 20% are Tamils. Tamils are also form a chunk in the countries such as Trinidad and Tobago, Martinique, Surinam, Guadeloupe etc.,

Nanmaaran,
No way, Tamil form more than 20% in Guyana! A lot more, they just only adopted North Indian names.

Dear Friends
I remember some one telling me some 18 years ago that the Tamil population of Guyana then was something in the region of 15,000.
