Cochin to Kochi,Bombay to Mumbai,Madras to Chennai,Calcutta to Kolkata

Scores of Indian cities/towns like Cochin,Quilon, Calicut,Trivandrum,Trichur,Bombay,Madras,Calcutta etc were renamed because they attached colonial stigma to the Anglicised name .
Using the same logic , why not rechristen the erstwhile natural western mountanious border of Bharat called Hindukush Mountains as Pariyatra Parvat(pronounced paariyaatra parvat) ? Although the Anglicised Indian urban areas contained no derogatory name , still they were renamed . Hindukush means "Hindu Slaughter" ...
