Tamil literature, as like the english, french or german literatures, were not made world wide. Tamil literary field has produced five great classics 2000 years ahead itself, when there is no grammar for all these western languages. the five epics, viz. sialpathikaaram, manimekalai, seevaga sinthamani, valaiyapathi, kundalakesi are really mega literary classics, which cannot be equated at all in the field of world literature.

  May be valaiyapathi and kundalakesi are not easily available. But there are remniscences available which indicates that they are great.

  'Kumudam Bakthi' has given something about these Kaappiyangal in one of its edition last year. I think small part of Kundalakesi is available.
