Another beauty from Raja with his signature everywhere in the composition. Perhaps a rare pick, as I have never heard much of this song...

    Really melodious song.
Particularly like the way the flute comes in at the beginning....
Possible my favourite semi-classical one from Raja.

    RM,

'vasantha vela' is a fantastic composition. Unfortunately it is not heard much. Not sure what was the fate of the movie. Raja is in full form in this song.

Prasanth: Lovely song, 'sangathamizh kaviye'. One of the good ragamalikas of Raja.

yaela malai kaattukKuLLe from naadodi thendral.
Fantastic composition, thumping rhythms. haunting male chorus, super interlaced drums, excellent counterpointed pipe melody in the second interlude, delightful piano prelude..
but overpowering everything else, Malaysia sings a stunner and elevates the song to a heights where other playback singers can only dream of.
He puts his heart, lungs and soul into it and makes it a classic. The charanams are a howler and the breath control is AWESOME..
May GOD bless him with speedy recovery and renewed vigour!!!
Apparently, a democracy is a place where numerous elections are held at great cost without issues and with interchangeable candidates.

That's a great song Jai. IRRC, does this song have a flute tremelo as it prelude? I remember reading about this in Vicky's blog. MV at his best. He has that magical voice. I too wish him to recover soon.

What a lovely song! Only SPB sir can sing these kind of songs. The lines hightlight in bold are the vintage strokes of the Master. I would die to hear those lines. Excellent composition, with that husky voice of SPB doing the remaining trick. That lovely guitar in the second interlude!

These are kind of compositions I am terribly missing in today's run-of-mill songs.
I would love to repeat what P_R always tell. Whatay Loully
