on manichitra thaazh

my friend wanted to know about mani chitra thaazh. it is an ornate lock/latch made of brass/bronze. one can find this at the padmanabhapuram palace and folkloremuseum koikkal palace. it has no tantric qualities attached with it. (it is only after the film by the same name-people believe that it has tantric effect). friends-if you have any further info on this ornate latch kindly let us know.

a latch is just a latch.. some film script writer/director had a constructive idea of making a film centered on it..
strangely the film "chandramukhi" does not have any reference to it (though the storyline is the same)

yes. that is what i said. but my friend says it has some other "qualities/significances" too. that is why......

A latch is a piece of metal which is used to fasten a door. That is it. Giving it all supernatural properties is just the human mind, superstitious.
