That 96 doordarshan interview did make a significant difference in the political arena. Had Rajni entered politics then, he had a great chance of becoming a force. But for some reason he let go the chance. The subsequent 'Dhairya Lakshmi' comments and the drubbing he received from PMK during the Baba issue only made things worse.

Kamal on the other hand is praised for Pandavar Ani's success for more than one reason. He supported them from the start and he made his point clear. He was the only one among the Top 6 to voice his support for Vishal team. In spite of his brother contesting for the treasurer post, even Suriya didn't make his stand clear.

And the important heads of the Sarath team attacked only Kamal more than any others. It showed how desperate they were to portray him as a selfish and disloyal person.

If Rajini had said anything in support of vishal team & opposed ' tamil nadigar sangam ' , he wud have got accussed of anti tamil.. imprincipled man.. no nandri to tamils things like what happened during neyveli hogenakkal times.. but why he endorsed tamil nadigar sangam.. why his video was used in sarath team canvassing.. vishal team canvassing video used kamal speech & his endorsement...worst is rajini came & told that people should resign if they cant keep promises.. with his friend vijayakumar and sarathkumr on his side... why cant he tell them the same to his friends for last 10 years

True. I have seen jokes like Kamal is the krishna to the paandavar ani They have been trying to credit Kamal fully for pandavar ani's success. It happens all the time. Anything thats good with the world is due to Kamal.

exactly, rajini could have told that, he indirectly attacked kamal's backing and also probably enjoyed the fact that sarath and radhika attacked kamal also that vijaykumar clapping was the joke of the year, sarath and radha ravi treated junior actors, drama artists as slaves, they were so addicted to power and felt that nobody could ask questions, they thought that nobody can remove them. BTW radhika has started the fire again going around attacking KH in all forms, and others are enjoying it to the hilt. True colors coming out now...
