Some major issues happening wrt Lingaa:-

Redpix which uploaded the speech by distributors has deleted it now. The video is not available in youtube.
Oneindia reported the news about losses.
Now they have an article in their site saying that those distributors are fake(!!!) and were driven away by the cops.
The FB page of a critic, called Artist Bala was suspended because he posted a negative review of Lingaa.

They talk crap. But if they are fake, how dare they give an interview like this! There are many faces seen in the video and they way they spoke looks real. Onnum puriyala, commission adikka ippidi oru naadagam aadarangala illa Lingaa team mattera amukkaraangalannu theriyala. Meanwhile @Trichymovies is denying these claims saying the movie is doing good in its 2nd week.

இந்நிலையில், இக்குற்றச்சாட்டின் உச்சபட்சமாக திருச்சி, தஞ்சாவூர் மாவட்டங்களில் லிங்கா திரைப்பட விநியோக உரிமையை பெற்ற ஒருவர் வெகுண்டெழுந்த காட்சி யூ டியூபில் வெளியாகியுள்ளது.

நஷ்டமடைந்த அந்த விநியோகிஸ்தர், "லிங்கா திரைப்பட இசை வெளியீட்டு விழாவில் பேசிய இயக்குநர், நடிகர் ரஜினிகாந்த் அனைவரும் இப்படம் மிகவும் பிரம்மாண்டமானது. படையப்பா திரைப்படம்போல் பிரம்மாண்ட வெற்றி பெறும் என்றெல்லாம் பேசினார்கள்.

பின்னர், கதை திருடப்பட்டது அப்படி..இப்படின்னு இவர்களாகவே தூண்டிவிட்டு வழக்கு பதிவு செய்யவைத்து எதிர்ப்பார்ப்பை ஏற்படுத்தினர். இதையெல்லாம் நிஜம் என நம்பி என்னைப்போன்றோர் பட விநியோக உரிமைய வாங்கினோம். ஆனால், இன்று ரூ.8 கோடி நஷ்டப்பட்டிருக்கிறேன்.

பட ரிலீஸ் பண்ண தேதியே மிகவும் தவறானது. ரஜினிகாந்த படத்தை அவரது பிறந்தநாளில் ரிலீஸ் செய்திருக்கிறார். ரஜினி பிறந்தநாள் என்ன தேசிய விடுமுறையா? அரையாண்டுத் தேர்வு காலத்தில் படத்தை ரிலீஸ் செய்தால் தியேட்டருக்கு யார் வருவார்கள்.

இத்தனை வருடம் சினிமாவில் இருக்கும் ரஜினிக்கு இதுகூடவா தெரியாது. இந்தப் படத்தை 200 கோடி ரூபாய் வரை தமிழ், தெலுங்கு, இந்தி என வியாபாரம் செய்திருக்கின்றனர். ஆனால், நாங்களோ திரையரங்கு உரிமையாளர்கள் மீது எங்கள் சுமையை இறக்கி வைத்திருக்கிறோம். ரஜினிகாந்த் தாயுள்ளம் கொண்டு எங்களுக்கு இழப்பீடு தர வேண்டும்" என கூறியுள்ளார்

Redpix has some history. They were the ones who promoted Minjur Gopi after Kaththi release and before the release, they tried their best to irk Seeman and make him protest Kaththi. Looks like they want to build a brand and hence pulling out controversies out of nowhere.

But today's newspaper was carrying an article about this protest of few distributors and also the industry insider Sreedhar Pillai tweeted about the distributors meet that happened yesterday. So, there is something going on for sure.

Not only cartoonist Bala but Arun tamil studio's page was also blocked for posting bad about Lingaa. And Gnani Sankaran received a warning from FB for promoting nudity while what he actually did was questioning a 60+ hero romancing on screen.

Well I don't know about the authenticity of those googles, but can tell you that, yes its a style from that period. The Vintage glasses that he is wearing is a special frame held only at the temple, meaning it does not pinch the nose. Its called Temple Clasps glasses. Aviators uses the same too, but become famous only during the world war when the glasses manufaturing companies started producing eye glasses for the military.

The round frame was typic during this period with curved legs that clip your ears (famously known to us as Ghandhi Kannadi). Its purpose is to have a oval vision and the special frame helps the glass to hold tight during horse riding. There were several styles of spectacle frames used according to the area the Britishers visited. Industrial Steam punk googles were famous too, which resembles Rajini's eye wear, except it covers the eyes from the side too, just like a fly mask. Used mainly in dusty areas during surveying, just as Rajini does in that scene. Then you have Two Tone Lens Glasses, where the upper part is darker and the below serves as a reading glass. Dual role during sunny weather. He wears similar glasses when coming back to Solaiyur in a Mattu Vandi and also when Mr. Hunter shoots down the pole of our Flag. Plus he has 2 to 3 other models (mike scene & Indiane Va), which are vintage collection.

Just an exemple if you want to take a look at the stitching style + attire + colors + ties + Handkerchif in the suit pocket ... etc., here is a self explanatory picture (1930-1940).



And Irwin tops, bottoms, finishing touches, floral design dresses & shoes belongs to 1940 (ofcoarse with class modifications as we are not making a reality show here).
