Doubt-e vendaam, it's pure concert material In fact there was once a full-fledged carnatic concert with
only film songs (of course, extended with neraval & swarams etc). I think vijay siva did it.
TMS carnatic cd's are available, but the photo is rare one. He looks handsome, isn't it? I wonder what people
would think if MGR or Sivaji photo was there instead.

Raj, I said uncommon, not never. I have listened to his tamil compositions (often his own) too, but he is obviously biased against.

The chembai/jesudas piece is a classic. Was it pun when you said 'teaching'? Sounds
like KJY is backing-up chembai. KJY voice is so sweet those days! As Arvind said, done a
decent job.

This is a classic by "Chembai and Yesudas". In this concert, we get a rare chance to know the Guru-Sishya sambandha of these two great vocalists, wherein, Chembai is actually teaching Yesudas and Yesudas tries very hard to follow his Guru.

Yesuddas has actually repeated the last few kalpanaswarams from chembai's.....very good rendition.......my favourite ragam and one of my favourite songs.....happened to sing it in one of my concerts in brahma gana sabha this season...thanks NOV.....
