^ The issue is pertinent to Kamal for sure. It is sad to see exhibitors giving in to the demands. I was sure AMC theatres wouldnt be screening the movie. Its headquarters is in China and China has a healthy relationship with North Korea. But it is surprising to see Regal and other theatre companies take the same stand. With the exhibitors backing out, I guess Sony had no choice but to stop the release. A good way to get some profit out of this would be to make it available through DTH. With this issue, I am sure a good number would be ready to watch it on telly.

^yes I was also thinking about the DTH option sony might have ....with so many made for home hits in netflix etc it sure can reap some from the publicity it has gained now...

but this in general is not a good sign..a few more cases like this and probably the govt will step in ..

This is sort of different. Never have I seen a foreign government perpetuate an intellectual theft this openly. In a way its more scary cause its not the people of a government that are plotting against the release but the government itself.

yes this sets a bad precedent - something like this happening with a mainstream Hollywood film is unheard of (?) - wonder what the big production houses in Hollywood must be pondering now

மணிரத்னத்திடம் உதவி இயக்குநநாகப் பணிபுரிந்தவர்தான் சித்தார்த். 'கன்னத்தில் முத்தமிட்டால்' படத்தில் உதவி இயக்குநராகப் பணிபுரிந்தார். அதற்குப் பிறகே ஷங்கரின் 'பாய்ஸ்' படத்தின் மூலம் ஹீரோவாக அறிமுகம் ஆனார்.

எனவே, சித்தார்த்தின் இயக்குநர் ஆசை விரைவில் நிறைவேறுவதற்கான சாத்தியங்கள் உள்ளன.
