Here I wish to initiate discussion / debate on which song of P.S. is the best of the lot.
Tough question isnt it ??!!!
Yes, there are infinite number of songs of PS which are time immemorial but we shall pick the best of the lot.
What about - Aalayamaniyin osayai naan ketten - Palum pazamum

It is not an easy task, to pick just some songs of PS. Definitely the minimum number will be more than 500 songs....

You know , Veenai Gayathri loves the song Ammamma to her heart as she said once that this song has lot of Gamakam and its amazing how PS sang that so easily and cooly !!!
Really really an amazing singer.
PS is another TMS in the sense, you will see the actress through her voice - like Savithri , Sarojadevi, Jeyuuuu , Vanishree, etc etc
Now, its time to analyse about SJ.
PS ruled the music world like a colossus .
The variety, depth , melody, the range she had , is just terrific
Really she is far ahead of even Lata mangeshkar etc etc
Yes you are correct. Comparing to Lata Mangeshkar, P Suseela has more varieties and voice modulations. Sometimes it is difficult to find out whether it is Suseela. For example: "Nilavum Malarum Paadudhu" (from Then Nilavu).
Out of 35,000 songs of P.Suseela, it is very very difficult to mention some songs here.
(There is already a thread "P.Suseela fans club" in the category 'Memories of Yesteryears', where we can find lot of Suseela songs in full verison).
PS differentiates her style actress based.
For ex : For Savithri , Sowcar , Sarojadevi - melody and warmth and gentlenes
For Jeyuuu, Vanishree - with arrogance
PS means variety
Balaji: All songs from Karnan are amsterpieces. Plus "Oru naal iravu" from Kaviya talaivi. and so on and on...

Probably PS can be equated with Sunil Gavaskar as Class is permanent. Both stood the test of times and overcome all competition
