Raaja's - Thalapathy & Guna (1991) . I still remember the deepavali which blossomed my musical interest at 12, Watching both these movies is an incredible experience. While every others of my age was going gaga over Rajni & Kamal, Raaja's music just blew me completely. Manusan eppadi thaan manage pannaro. Especially Guna's bgm elevated the movie to a different level.
Then there comes the breaking wind Rahman (1992) in Roja on "The Independence Day" an anthem which hooked the whole Indian hemisphere towards kodambakkam panchathan studio. "tamizha tamizha" is my all-time favourite bgm followed by the Bombay theme. The patriotism, peace loving gist that exudates from these two tracks by this gifted prodigy is worth-mentioning!
