i don't understand what is wrong with my question. Do you mean that songs such as Naan Aaniyittal didn't contribute much for the success of EVP and MGR politics? I can cite many MGR movies, in which MSV music playing a major role in success. Eg. EVP, Anbe vaa, USV, Nam Naadu, Urimaikkural, K Kovil, Idhyakkani, and so on. This short list consists of both regular MGR movies and movies with heavy political tone in it. MSV always claimed that MGR squeezed a lot from him - that itself shows how MSV music was special for your films. Like many others, I usually felt MGR movies soul lies in MSV catchy tunes. If you still say that MSV music was not a big factor for MGR film and politics success, you are doing a disservice to MGR soul and commiting sin.
Compared to MGR movies, very few NT movies had "remarkable" tune from MSV. It never happened for NT movies, because in NT movies, NT alone matters.
Maestro Ilaiyaraja has also raised same issue: Regretting that politicians failed to acknowledge the contribution of artistes when they were alive, Mr. Ilayaraja said MSV had never sought any recognition from the government.

My question was simple: Though MSV gave life to MGR themes, as a powerful 3-time CM, why didn't MGR (as CM) influence centre to get him Padma Awards? MSV totally deserved such awards.
