I would like to highlight the literary highness in Arunagirinathar's Thiruppugal Pathigam - Song 6 - Muthai_Tharu (with million bows at TMS) :
கொத்துப்பறை கொட்டக் களமிசை
குக்குக்குகு குக்குக் குகுகுகு
குத்திப்புதை புக்குப் பிடியென முதுகூகை
kothuparai kotta kala misai
kuku kugu kukku kugugugu
kuthi puthai pukku pidiyena, muthu googai
This couplet describes the sound effect when Vedivelan fought the righteous war by attacking Krounchagiri mountain (explained in the next verses) and shatters it into pieces taking the Asuras with it. He slayed every single demon, while a series of drums were beaten rhythmically following his master strokes and high above the vultures circling the battlefield buzzed 'kuku kugu kukku kugugugu' sounding the sounds of his attacks and stabs.
The stanza before this one, recounts the eight Bhairavas (which includes Kapali), who protected the Lord by marching "thokkuththoku thokkuth thokuthoku' around him.
Such an amazement to listen to this song "Muthai Tharu Pathi Thirunagai" from the film Arunagirinathar (1964) sung by TMS for the music of T R Paapa.
