great songs, with stunning rehashes of "shenbagame shenbagame" and "jingadi jingadi onakku"
Its really a pity that IR didn't do many more Hindi albums... Hope he makes up with more like Cheeni kum. Now waiting eagerly for Pa.
Can anyone share with me the song "Singaara Cheemaiyile" from the film Ninaivu Chinnam sung by IR himself..
the rehash of shenbagame is gud at the beginning but the charanam part doesnt gel for a hindi movie!
aagaya is a classic!
most noticeable are the 80s style use of strings + the bass line of IR!
the flute pieces give such the distinct IRish southie feel - dont gel
Fikr na kar is the rehash of the song Uthamaputhiri naanu from Guru Sishyan (not Jingidi jingidi).
cool, I didn't notice that! is that song picturised in the movie? I don't remember... its basically the same tune thoughQuote:

Anyways, thanks a lot for sharing Mahadev songs. I was hunting for the mp3 for long time.

Ananth222, thanks a million for the songs! Like many, I was searching for these songs as well for a very long time. Due to time constraint, I dont visit this thread really much. But thanks to my curiosity to know what is happening in this thread (Sharing BGM) that I discovered these albums.
I have always compared S.Janaki and Asha Bhosle for some similarities in their voices and style of singing. Wondering if IR as well observed it. He used Asha Bhosle for tamil version and SJ for hindi version!!
So, Mohd. Aziz also has sung for IR. Remember IR saying that Mohd. Rafi was one of his favourite singer. Probably its a reason to use Mohd. Aziz.
I agree that most of the flute pieces is very southie IR style.
"Dilwale" song is really good song for the funky tune and interludes. I feel even today, if its played (as it is ... not rehashed), it has potential to be a bit.
thanks,
Krishnan
