Madam: For your information
Music world - All chennai outlets closed forever
Sankara hall - Will not sell IR music cds at all because of a problem
Landmark is the only place
Also: Please note that except HMV and inreco NONE OF THE IR ALBUMS are available as AUDIO Cds in INDIA
I know! Landmark is the place!
Sankara hall not selling older albums due to some IR's legal suit issues, I understand!
But what's the problem with NANDHALALA- was a new album by 2010, during my visit, they told me that they carry NO IR music!
New albums kku what problems?
or
IR & sankara hall have their own issues?
anyway...thanks Kamesh!
Of course, I buy on-line too.
sonnen... aasaiyaa ennudiaya small pleasures!:-D
sankara hall was raided and that is when they decided that they wont sell any IR cds for that matter. Whether new or old they would not sell it. They still maintain it
Dhinakar Rajaram and i went there a couple of months back and they asked us to leave the place when we asked for IR audio cds. Sadly people near IR dont realise this and within a couple of years the market will be totally devoid of this genius's works
what non-sense, just asking for IR music cd, they asked you to leave! Sorry, Kamesh
They were polite to me!
devoid of IR's works...
It won't happen completely.

I had a conversation/discussion with a composer friend of mine who lives near Nashville, Tennessee - abt IR!
I had fwded some links to him - and he immediately contacted me - gist of what he told me:
1. Who is this composer ? I have worked with some Indian musicians but never heard of him!
2. Bach's music is the closest to Indian/Eastern music - there are many structural components that I think bear resemblances to eastern music - its no wonder that IR (he called him by the full name though!) could see it as well - I have composed a few pieces using Bach's techniques with Turkish music!
3. after listening to main track 'How to name it ?', 'I met Bach in my house' and 'composers breath' - he went nonstop 'beautiful! just beautiful' !
4. Western classical music is far easier to master than Indian classical music - for someone to have mastered both and used them in this manner, he must be special !
irir123, as always, good job!:thumbsup::ty:
