Same tempo alone for one song is ok. But for countless songs....how do you react? 8-)Quote:

Elf,
FYI,
I heard this news from a sound engineer in ARR studio. I saw his post in a site. Forgot where i saw.
//Airtel - ripped from Devadai//
During "Devadai" period, ARR was working under IR. Part of that song (especially that chorus part) was actually composed by ARR...
Incorrect info, dEvadhai was a product of IR in 1997 or so. By that time, ARR was flying high already and there's no way ARR working under IR.Quote:

However, I don't know whether the dEvadhai song and airtel tune have any similarities as I haven't heard either of them. Just thought of correcting a wrong statement:-)
app, pls make it clear. it was not my intention to lie here...
i am certain that i read this news somewhere..
Viraajan,
EKSI :x devathai was Nasser's 2nd movie which got released in 1997. If you had read this somewhere from a sound engineer of ARR's Studio then its obvious that he is doing a 'Sappaikattu' for the similarity in those tunes. :P
Yes RS. On reading that so-called "Sound Engr's" post, i thot it was 80s' movie :DQuote:

May be he was a "buruda" engineer.
viraajan, my intention was not to accuse you but definitely the source that you were quoting was wrong / malicious, so please don't take it personal:-)Quote:

One more thing:
While it may be true that MD's sometimes get credit for works of their team members, it also happens that former team members loot the works of their previous masters. There are instances of both cases.
However, as for as we listeners (and legal systems) are concerned, only the published credits can be taken and not such things as "insider information" etc. And we know how much "uNmai" people -esp those in cine industry - speak:-)
Yep. Cool. Thanks for the clarification App. I felt a sarcasm in your reply. So had to react that way. Got it right now :DQuote:
