Listen to Sting- Valparaiso and Led Zep Stairway to Heaven.. you will see how the raw British "Steel" blues blend in.. Aromele has that vibrant same effect and mixes with a nice carnatic base... absolutely brilliant.

Listen to the Theme in Karthik Calling Karthik
You can see the layering of the various Blue based song and a rocking bass, it needs a quite talented guitarist to play those notes..
Who is the guitarist for Mr. ARR? do you guys know?
I knew one of the guitarist who played with the great Raja!! but lost in touch for sometime now...
Music is the only thing that drives the colossal nature and brings empathy and happiness to the turmoiled world.. Look at Haiti, it saddens, but surely we need a ARR (for me being a Tamilian/Indian, though lived out side of the country for the past 20 years)... to resurrect the nerve of Music.
Omana Penne is starting to rock.. Hosana is kind-a fading away with the english words (may be more innovative and trendy, when east is trying to ape the west)
Special Request:
Please donate at www.savethechildren.org or redcross or for any organization of your interest for Haiti.
Keith Peters and Sanjeev Thomas are the guitarists who feature regulary in ARR albums.Quote:

SURPRISING TIDBIT FROM CHENNAI TIMES:
"Kalyaani Menon has sung for many jingles in the Rajiv Menon-Rahman combination. Interestingly, during the making of most of these advertisements, Gautham Menon (the director of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa) was the assistant to Rajiv..."
So GVM knew Rahman well before he directed his first movie...
Maddy,
Actually my intent was not to say that you have not heard "Stairway to Heaven", but just to give a comparison, on how the transitions happen in Aromele... Again.. you should listen to Staind if you have not or Evanescence.. the progression is the same in Aromele.. so it is dear to my heart and this songs goes beyond comparison..
Staind:

Checkout the progressions/transitions.. I think I should shut up and just enjoy Aromele continuously with my other collection of Staind, Jars Of Clay, Creed, DMB...
