Chances of doing both films simultaneously looks grim...cos Yohan is mostly gona be shot abroad (UK as far as I've read)..so unless AL Vijay film is also going to be shot in the UK, it is gona be tough for thalapathy to do both films at the same time...and Yohan getting completed in less than 3 months looks impossible.

Perhaps Podas can help us with some information here!!

It is well-known that Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Makkal Narpani Iyakkam (fan club) works tirelessly for welfare activities like blood donation and distributing books and notebooks.
They are also involved in giving educational aid to the needy on various occasions like the actor’s birthday and, during his film releases.
In a bid to encourage and appreciate their efforts, Vijay had recently invited the office-bearers of his fan clubs from various districts, cities and zones, to his marriage hall in Chennai, and held abig bash in their honour.
The Velayudham star also gifted gold rings and chains to those who had done exceptional work in their respective regions.
Speaking on the occasion, he advised his fans, “Family comes first and each fan should take care of his/her family first.
Only then, one should think of doing good deeds. I suggest that you start your deeds in the villages, which are the highest priority now.” S.A. Chandrashekar was also present on the occasion.

Family first, Vijay tells fans

Vijay had a word of advice to his ardent fans, who were working round the clock for Makkal Iyakkam, an organization floated by the actor to "strive for the betterment of the society".

The Ilayathalapathy, who organized a function to honor office-bearers of his fan clubs who had done exception service, gifted them gold rings and chains, besides asking them to reach out to the needy.

"But at the same time, family should come first to you always. Only after taking care of the family well, you should think of doing well to others. This is my humble request to all my fans," he said.

Vijay's father and veteran filmmaker SA Chandrasekhar was also present. In the meantime, Vijay is on the verge of completing his next offering 'Thupaki', which is being helmed by A R Murugadoss.

'Pokkiri' gang bond big time in Mumbai!

The Pokkiri gang of Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Prabhu Deva and Asin met after years in Mumbai.

Remember, Pokkiri the 2007 Tamil action-thriller directed by Prabhu Deva had Vijay and Asin in the lead.

So it was five years after the Pokkiri release that the gang met up at Prabhu Deva’s swanky new apartment in Green Acres for a chit chat session. Prabhu has moved in to this apartment in Lokhandwala which belongs to actress Sridevi and her husband Bonney Kapoor.

Asin who also stays in the same society dropped in to meet up with her Pokkiri director. Vijay who was in Mumbai for patch work shoot of his new film also joined the party. They had a gala time and this has raised speculations about the sensational team coming together for a movie once again in Tamil!

VTA Exclusive : Vijay's 'YOHAN' shooting is postponed due the prior commitments of director Gautham Menon, his current movie 'NEP' is yet to be completed as there are certain issues regarding the heroine's dates.

Meanwhile Vijay has decided to go ahead with the shoot of 'Thalaivan' (Tentative title) with director A.L. Vijay from October 2012. The Music composition for the same by Music Director G.V. Prakash will start next month. The movies budget though not officially disclosed is expected to be high. Thalaivan is all set for a Summer 2013 release.

G.V.Prakash has updated in his twitter page that he will soon be starting to compose music for his next project with A.L.Vijay starring actor Vijay in the lead. This film has tentatively been titled Thalaivan but the title will definitely undergo a change soon.

For this Vijay-Vijay project, Prakash will start composing in September in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A truly exotic place one must admit. He has promised to make this album his best as well as Vijay's best till date. The expectations have surely shot up post this update from the young composer.

Vijay is known for his philanthropic activities that he carries out through his extensive fan clubs. He is now going to Vellore to conduct a set of free marriages. He has now roped in a new villain for the film, with the same name. Yes, singer Vijay Yesudas is making his debut as an antagonist in this film. The film is expected to go on floors inNovember, after actor Vijay completes all his commitments. Director Vijay has begun the casting for the film and will finalize before the shoot. Meanwhile, the hearing for the Thuppakki title case has been moved again to 22nd August.

If he was mentioning Dabaang then its a different thing. Simbu is tooo young to enact that role. Moreover this role requires a mass hero. Either Vijay or Ajith would have pulled that role with ease and the result would have been different. The same Dabaang was remade in Telugu as Gabbar Singh starring Pawan Kalyan and was a super hit.

While the industry is abuzz with reports that Gautham Menon won’t be doing Yohan with Vijay, we now hear that the filmmaker is likely to narrate another story to the actor.
A source says, “Gautham Menon and Vijay were supposed to join hands for Yohan, a stylish spy thriller, this year. Though the firstlook posters of the film were released and Rahman had been roped in, now the two don’t seem to be happy with the script.”
Gautham, who had earlier said that Yohan will go on floors fromlast July, has tweeted, “Yohan with Vijay is not happening. A L Vijay is directing Vijay’s next film. I’m finishing Neethane En Ponvasantham. And then will
figure out my next film.” However, the source adds, “The latest development is that Gautham will narrate a fresh script to Vijay in a couple of days, and if things fall into place, that flick will go on floors next year.”
We hear that Vijay will listen to Gautham’s script once he’s back from New Zeland, where he is shooting for the songs for Thuppakki. An announcement about his flick is likely after that.

The latest buzz doing the rounds in showbiz is that Ek Tha Tiger is going to be remade in Tamil. The Salman Khan- Katrina Kaif romantic action thriller directed by Kabir Khan set quite a record by being the fastest 100 crore grosser in just over five days recently.

There was a buzz that it would be remade in Telugu but looks like Kollywood has piped others to the post. The buzz is that Editor Mohan has bought the rights and his son Jeyam Raja who directed Velayudham for Vijay, will be directing the Tamil version.

And no guesses for who the hero is! Yes, it’s going to be Ilayathalapathy Vijay who will take up the role of a RAW spy essayed brilliantly by Salman.

Vijay is first going to do AL Vijay’s film and since Yohan has now been dropped, let’s see when the ball gets rolling to this remake. Earlier, Raja and Vijay had a great rapport during the filming of Velayudham.

I am a diehard Vijay fan from Sri Lanka. Every day I go through the same ordeal...everywhere. "Why do you like him...he can't act...he does nothave any style". Well now I'm going toprove to them that Vijay isn't what they think him to be...he is more than that.
I was an average kid, just like everyone else. At that time I was a fan of The Superstar. It was when I went on a trip to Singapore that everything changed. It was raining and my dad decided to watch a movie. At that timethe only movies running were Manmadhan and Ghilli. As my family was not a fan of Simbu we decided to watch Ghilli. It was a 7:30 show and we had to wait outside in a long queue but fortunately we got in. whenI went in I was amazed to see less Indians but more people from other countries. They were all there, Chinese,French, Indonesian...you name it. I really couldn't believe that they had come all the way just to see a Tamil movie. The movie began and when thewords "Ilayathalapathy Vijay" came on screen, there was a huge response from the audience. My dad asked a Tamil chap sitting next to us why so many people of different ethnic groups were watching a movie that they didn't understand. It was his reply that enlightened me. "No sir, they don't really care about the language. It's what they see on screen that matters. Vijay is different from others. From his expression you can grasp what he's conveying to us. His older films were big hits here." It was from that I changed my mind.
Since then I would always wait in a queue, join in with all the other fans singing and cheering just to see Vijay's films on the first day. So far I have been very successful. My family has been of great support to me in this. They always accompany to see his films. Although the years 2008-2010 haven't been favorable to him, he didn't give up. He kept on making films and he always appreciated our comments. It was the same with the great MGR. There was a period during his career where many of his films were flops but yet he didn't give up and after that he was the victor and still to this day he holds a small place in all our hearts. It was as Vijay said in"Thirumalai" "Life is like a circle...we can go up or come down" When you look at all this you still wonder why many people debate who is better. It is because they are jealous. It is no other reason. Vijay has just come up and has many more steps to go. All his haters want him to come back down and they even discourage us from being his fans. I just want to ask one question to them. "What do you find wrong in Vijay?" Every man is not perfect and every man is not the same,we should remember this. I mean no disrespect to anyone but I want them to know that every actor has different unique abilities. Vijay is yet to reach many heights but he is taking his time, choosing good scripts and working with different genres of films
I hope that after this you see Vijay as a person who is here to entertain us and as a person who wants to keep us smiling and happy.

Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger (ETT) is already the second biggest blockbuster in Bollywood history and still it is only 10 days old at the box-office. There are already rumors about the Tamil and Telugu remakes of ETT.

Generally Salman makes his films based on Southern hits but now it is the reverse as there is stiff competition to purchase ETT's Tamil remake rights. Editor Mohan has supposedly purchased the Tamil remake rights and his son Jayam Raja might direct this one, given his expertise in handling remakes.

None other than Vijay might fill the shoes of Salman, as the Indian RAW agent sent on a mission to Ireland. Vijay and Raja have already worked together in Velayudham. Official updates are awaited on this. Till then the guessing game would continue.

Vijay - A.L.Vijay project to start in October :

Director AL Vijay has completed 'Thaandavam' and is eagerly waiting for the film's release, on September 28. While actor Vijay is on the verge of finishing off 'Thupakki' with A R Murugadoss.

Starting second week of October, the two are expected to kickstart their already announced project, which is touted as a complete commercial entertainer.

Remember director Vijay is known for trying his hands at various genres. After a family flick in 'Kireedam', comedy entertainer in 'Poi Solla Porom', love saga in 'Madrasapattinam' and emotional story in 'Deiva Thirumagal', he has come out with an action adventure in 'Thaandavam'.

Now he is said to have penned a '100 per cent commercial script' having Vijay and his fans in mind . G V Prakash Kumar will compose the music, while a hunt is on for the heroine.

Watching Gilli now. When everyone is boozed and asked for a movie to zero in the selected movie is Gilli :smokesmirk:. As I use to say hereafter no body can make a commercial movie like Gilli. Even after 8 years it has been a milestone movie for Vijay and it will always be. Natural comedy + Gethu + stunts.

Cameraman Gopinath has to be mentioned here for his great work. Especially for the chasing sequence. I have heard he met with an accident when he shot the chasing sequence. He changed his name to Gilli Gopinath after this movie. Kedi movie la appdi thaan peru varum.

Also the dialogue writer Bharathan :clap:. ATM padathula konjam screenplay sothapitaaru but still his dialogues were good. Osthil la kooda avar dialogues nallarunthuchu.
