Vijay's fans woke up unamused this morning when they logged into a micro-blogging site to see an image that was poking fun at their favorite star going viral. Fans were irked even more when the image was re-shared by a senior actress from the industry. Vijay’s fans did not hold themselves back and voiced their distaste towards the senior actress’s insensitivity.

The yesteryear heroine who heightened her popularity through TV serials was forced to block her followers and temporarily shut down her account. Moments later the veteran actress did make a return to her page and offered a clarification and an apology to Vijay's fans saying that she only meant it to be a joke and not to hurt anyone’s sentiments.

The buzz in the tinsel town is that Ilayathalapathy Vijay has asked director AL Vijay to wait until the Pawan Kalyan starrer Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu hit the screens. The film is due for release tomorrow and Vijay is waiting for the film’s box office reports so that he can lay his hands on the remake.

Remakes seem to be the best bet in today’s scenario and Vijay has benefited from it in the past. Therefore, he is keen on remaking CGTR in Tamil provided the film is a huge success in Tollywood. Looks like AL Vijay will have to shelve his script to accommodate Vijay’s request if CGTR turns out to be blockbuster.

Vijay to join hands with R.B. Choudary?

You can call it the biggest buzz of tin sel town! When the ndustry and fans of Ilayathalapathy Vijay are awaiting his visual action extravaganza Thuppakki, here is the report suggesting that the actor has given his call sheet to popular producer R.B.Choudary for his next. According to sources, the movie will be directed by one film old Nesan. Apparently, Nesan who wielded megaphone for his debut venture Muruga, which was critically acclaimed but an average grosser at the box office, assisted Jayam Raja while he was making Vijay's earlier flick Velayudham. Insiders reveal that Nesan who befriended Vijay during the shooting narrated the one-liner of his script, which impressed the Nanban star. Reportedly, the actor had asked him to work on the script and return to him when it gets ready. Now, for those who are wondering as why R.B. Choudary, here is the inside story. Vijay was launched as a hero by his direc tor/producer dad S s A Chandrashekar in a film called Naalay a Theerppu two decades ago. Both SAC and his singer wife Shoba were bent upon making their son a big hero in Tamil industry and hence churning out movies including Rasigan with Vijay in their home banner regularly. But the biggest commercial breakthrough came when Vijay did Poove Unakkaga that was produced by none other than R.B.Choudhary (who was then at the peak of his career) in his banner Super Good Films. It also gave him the 'star status' tag. The movie directed by Vikraman was a huge blockbuster and ran for 250 days in 50 centers. It was later remade in Telugu and Hindi. Later, whenever Vijay teams up with Jiiva's dad, the films turned out to be a runaway hit Thulladha Manamum Thullum and Tiruppachi to name a few. Sources add that to reciprocate his gratitude towards Choudary, Vijay has indeed agreed to star in a film, which will be produced by the former.

At the Aadhi Bhagavan press meet held on Wednesday, director Ameer threw light not just on this ‘Mafioso action love story’ but also on Kannabiran, which was supposed to be the film that Ameer was to direct with Ravi.Kannabiran's script is about the relationship that exists between a father and his four year old daughter. Ameer had previously acted in a movie called Yogi which also had a similar plot of a ruffian's relationship with a baby that comes into his custody by mistake. Yogi didn't work well at the box-office and as a result Ameer felt that Kannabiran wouldn't be a safe bet. Hence Kannabiran was kept aside and Aadhi Bhagavan was thus born as a commercial action entertainer.

Brinda: Vijay Is A Choreographer's Delight

The one person who impressed surprisingly Brinda is Vijay. Talking about the super star, the ace choreographer is marvelled at his personality who in real life is completely different from the big screen hero.
It was with film 'Minsara Kanna', Brinda revealed that, she first met Vijay and what surprised her so muchwas that the actor was very silent and wouldn't speak much. "Even when we choreograph he wouldn't react much. But once the camera started rolling he was altogether person. I wonder from where that energy comes. Something magic happens," remarked Brinda.
She recalls the time when they were shooting for the film in Switzerland, news came in that she had won National Award for Malayalam film Daya. Unexpected by her, it was actually Vijay who was most excited and was pushing her to do something and celebrate.
Interestingly at a time when dance rehearsals are carried on before the actual shooting, Brinda shared that Vijay doesn't require it to do. For, he comes directly for the shoot and gives a fabulous output. "What's impressive about Vijay is that he can easily adapt to dancing styles of different choreographers. For instance, if its Raju Sundaram, Vijay would remarkably follow his way of choreography," added the choreographer, who gives hats off to Vijay's knee steps.
As a matter of fact, once when Brindawas shooting in Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor asked her, "Vijay dances very well, isn't it?" And on hearing that, the choreographer had her proud moment...

It's for the best, I think. I had no hopes on Thuppakki after a disastrous 7th sense, but Doss redeemed himself with Gun. So after a mediocre Matran and Thandavam, I hope Anand and ALV does the same. Imo, KV> ALV. Looking forward to the KV venture.

Here is the news about Vijay and KV Anand.

Vijay will be teaming up with KV Anand for a project after completing the AL Vijay’s venture which he is currently busy with. In the mean time, KV Anand is making all the arrangements to get the story ready for his next and has set the ball rolling for it. While writers SuBa were involved in all his projects till now, for the Vijay starrer, the director is planning to opt for a change.

Sources say that Pattukottai Prabhakar will be in-charge of the story for the Vijay starrer, which is yet to be named.

After the success of Thuppakki, Vijay is ready to move on to his next AL Vijay film starting today. Amala Paul will be pairing up with him while Nirav Shah, GV Prakash and other AL Vijay regulars will also work on this as yet untitled project.

Post this film, he might do a film with KV Anand if things fall into place. RS Infotainment will produce this venture while Pattukottai Prabhakar will pen the dialogues. Script work is supposed to be going on for this film.

Vijay Antony did a much better job in Velayudham compared to HJ in Nanban and now in Thuppakki. Lovely songs that I could hear numerous times.

The only song I really liked in Nanban was 'En Frienda Pola Yaaaru Machan', maybe because of the theme. The all popular 'Asku Laska' was just too syrupy sweet and does not hold a candle to the brilliant equivalent in Hindi 'Zoobi Doobi'. Thuppaki songs have not left an impression as yet, except for 'Google Google'.

Vinod, to be fair, Thuppakki's BGM is one of Vj's best and songs are not that bad as projected. Personally, i am so happy that VJ has moved beyond the likes of Dheena,Sreekanth Deva,DSP,Manisharma etc., and I would take HJ over any of the listed music directors, any day! Vidyasagar, one of VJ's trusted technician is past this selling date and Vijay Antony is good at best.

GVP is very talented and also read somewhere that he is a VJ fan and good that VJ is joining hands with him for his current movie. Then there is Imman, Dhaman and other amans who are yet to find their stripes in the longer run.

Yuvan is an attractive option but somehow, it seems VJ and Y1 are heading like the two parallel rail tracks at the moment. ARR would be pinnacle and i am sad that way that Yohan did not happen.

Hence, i would say HJ will not be that bad. Infact HJ in poor form and under pressure is good, as he will dig deep and try his best to deliver.

The main drawback is they didn't promote other songs except Google Google before the movie release. Also movie's pace was fast and people really didn't want to see any song which reduced their interest.

I personally felt if they have chopped Kutti puli kootam and Vennilave song movie would have been more crisp.

No surprises, it was your dance that began to make an impact. Still remember the days when I used to wait for Sun TV's top 10 songs, Neengal Ketta Padal, Pepsi Ungal Choice and programmes of the kind to play your songs be it Ennai Thalatta from KM,Vanna Nilave from NV,Akkuthay Akkuthay from Nilava Va, Nooru Koodi from TMT and almost all songs from Priyamudan.

Engineering days were all about Vijay Vs Ajith. Rollercoaster for both the stars, the period lets say from Priyamanavalae to Ghilli. Offcourse it was a great finish, but always felt Vijay gave more movies for Ajith fans and vice versa :) and by doing so allowed a couple of unassuming hopefulls a leeway to the top.

Thankfully, now both seems to have got the focus back and are primarily worried about their fans :) and hence seems to have gained some lost ground

Though I am not a great fan of your punch dialogues and political aspirations, I wish you give us two more decades of good movies and movies only. We wish to see you take up more challenging roles and work with talented film makers.

Today (Dec 4) is a very significant date inIlayathalapathy Vijay‘s career.

His first film Naalaiya Theerpu released on December 4, 1992. His long and tiring journey to super stardom has not exactly been a bed of roses. But against all odds through sheer grit and hard work he made it to the top.
20 years down the line and still Vijay is going from strength to strength. And this Diwali, he has delivered his biggest hit in his life the AR Murgadoss directed Thuppakki. The film is said to be the third highest grossing film of all times, which is another feather on his cap.
Meanwhile for the actor it is work as usual. He is shooting in Mumbai for Vijay directed untitled film for producer Chandraprakash Jain. When sify.com contacted the star on completing two decades in the industry, he said modestly: “I’m happy about it but don’t treat it as a personal milestone. All this happened only due to the love of my fans and audiences who stood with me through thick and thin. My father who was more than a mentor and guiding force, producers and directors who had trust in me and above all God’s grace.”

Actress Mithra Kurien who debuted in Kollywood with Vijay starrer Kavalan is not too happy with the image that the film has given her. Initially, when the director Siddique approached her for the film she was excited about starring in a Vijay film. On coming to know that Asin was the main female lead in the movie she gave the offer another thought. However, the director convinced her to take up the role saying in the end, she would get married to Vijay. It is confirmed that Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Malayalam superstar Mohanlal are coming together in veteran producer RB Chowdhary’s new film under his Supergood Films banner directed by debutant Nesan. The film rumoured to be titled Jilla has Vijay, Mohanlal and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead with music by D Imman.

RB Chowdhary has pulled off a casting coup of sorts as Mohanlal and Vijay are coming together for the first time, raising the bar. Vijay, who is currently shooting for director Vijay’s untitled film produced by Chandraprakash Jain, will start the RB Chowdhary film sometime in April/May.

Imman is talented guy. I liked his Thamizhan songs especially Maatu Maatu, Law padichom and background score was also good. His recent album Kumki is also a nice album.

He would definitely give his best considering Vijay gave him a break.
