Wonder why SPB didn't sing for Kamal in a while. I cant seem to recall his last song for kamal .. They had/have such a great relationship.

There was this song ' Mouname' sung by SPB in Anbe Sivam. But the song was completely unused in the movie.

விஸ்வரூபத்தைத் தொடர்ந்து 'மூ' படம் இயக்கும் கமல்!

'விஸ்வரூபம் 2 ' விரைவில் திரையைத் தொடவேண்டும் என்று இறுதிக்கட்டப் பணிகளில் அதிதீவிரமாக கவனம் செலுத்திவருகிறார் கமல்.

இதற்கடுத்து லிங்குசாமியின் தயாரிப்பில் கமல் நடிப்பதாக சொல்லப்பட்டது.

தமிழ், தெலுங்கு, இந்தி என்று மூன்று மொழிகளில் லிங்குசாமி தயாரிக்கும் கமல் படத்தை இதுவரையில் ரமேஷ்அரவிந்த் இயக்குவதாகத்தான் இருந்தது.

இப்போது திடீர்மாற்றம். 'சார் நீங்களே டைரக்ஷனும் செய்துவிடுங்களேன் 'என்று லிங்கு அன்புக்கட்டளை போட சிரித்துக் கொண்டே ஓ.கே சொல்லி விட்டாராம், கமல்.

மூன்று மொழிகளிலும் உருவாகவிருக்கும் படத்துக்கு இயக்கம் ப்ளஸ் நடிப்பு இரண்டும் கமல்தான். ஆனால், ஒவ்வொரு மொழியிலும் பிரபலமான முன்னணி நடிகர்கள் பலர் கமலுடன் இணைந்து நடிக்கிறார்கள்.

கமல் படத்துக்கு 'மூ'என்று ஒற்றை எழுத்தில் உற்சாகமாகப் பெயர்சூட்டி இருக்கிறார்கள்.

'விஸ்வரூபம் 2' படம் ரிலீஸான பிறகே 'மூ' படம் குறித்துப் பேச வேண்டும் என்று இருக்கிறாராம் கமல்.

In one of his interviews along with SPB aired sometime in '09, he takes a dig at his own singing in comparison with the legend SPB. I'm not sure if any of you guys have seen it - He says 'Ivaru saendhu paadalam saendhu paadalamnnu soluvaaru ... saendhu paadnna appdae pottu merrichivaaru!' SPB was giggling in the side for that comment ...

I feel Kamal's singing talent is itself very underrated ... I recently heard his 'Kaadhal piriyaamal kavithai thondradhu' from Panchathantiram. He navigates ups and downs very nicely with decent 'gamagams'.

Real life Saket Ram?
When I saw this pic a few days back, I was very surprised with the similarity the man in this pic shares with the Saket Ram character. The hairdo, the stare, the spectacles, the jaw... replace it with a twirled moustache, and the man in the pic looks so similar to Saket Ram's final get up (the assassin part) in Hey ram. His real life too bears a few similarities with Saket ram's. any idea who is this gentleman? :-)

I would never say such things about Kamal - he is a real talent and not mediocre or over-hyped.
But calling him a legend is too much.

Sakalakalakalaa Vallavar, if you permit me, just a few sentences about the French filmmaker Costa-Gavras who is going to share the award with Kamal.
I will start by saying : ippo thaan ivangalam (including Kamal) ivanga kannu-ku theriyudha ?

Just 2 movies of Costa-Gavras that may be of interest (but all his movies are very good)
1/ Le Couperet (meaning "Chopping Knife" not an accurate translation though) : What extent can you go to find a job, moreover get recruited
2/ Le Capital : Banker - "We are the new Robinhoods, We take from the poor and give to the rich."

1979-ம் ஆண்டு கமலஹாசன், ரஜினிகாந்த் நடிப்பில் கே.பாலசந்தர் இயக்கத்தில் வெளிவந்த படம் ‘நினைத்தாலே இனிக்கும்’. எம்.எஸ்.விஸ்வநாதன் இப்படத்திற்கு இசையமைத்திருந்தார். கவியரசு கண்ணதாசன் பாடல்கள் எழுதியிருந்தார். தமிழ் சினிமாவின் ஜாம்பவான்கள் அனைவரும் ஒன்றாக இணைந்து வெளிவந்த இந்த படம் அந்த காலக்கட்டத்தில் மிகப்பெரிய வெற்றியை அடைந்திருந்தது.

இந்த படத்தை தற்போது டிஜிட்டல் முறையில் மாற்றி, மீண்டும் வெளியிடவிருக்கின்றனர். இதற்காக இப்படத்தின் டிரைலர் வெளியீட்டு விழா இன்று சென்னை சத்யம் திரையரங்கில் நடைபெற்றது. இதில், கே.பாலசந்தர், எம்.எஸ்.விஸ்வநாதன், நடிகர் கமலஹாசன், அமீர், கே.ஆர்., சித்ரா லட்சுமணன் உள்ளிட்ட சினிமாத் துறையைச் சேர்ந்த பலரும் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.

விழாவில், அமீர் பேசும்போது,

இந்த விழாவுக்கு நான் உலகநாயகன் கமலஹாசனின் ரசிகனாக வந்துள்ளேன். பார்க்க சுவாரஸ்யமானது என்பதற்கு இந்த விழா ஒரு முக்கியமான உதாரணம். நான் கண்டிப்பான குடும்பத்தில் பிறந்தவன். என்னுடைய அப்பா 1977-ஆம் ஆண்டு இறந்து விட்டார். முஸ்லீம் சமுதாயத்தில் பிறந்ததால் என்னுடைய அம்மா வீட்டை விட்டு வெளியே வரமாட்டார். அதனால், அப்பாவின் மரணத்திற்கு பிறகு நான் சுதந்திரமானவன் ஆகிவிட்டேன்.

அப்படியொரு நாள் பள்ளிக்கூடத்தை கட் அடித்துவிட்டு பார்த்த படம்தான் ‘நினைத்தாலே இனிக்கும்’. நான் உலகநாயகனின் ரசிகன் என்று சொல்வதைவிட வெறியன் என்றுதான் சொல்லவேண்டும். அவருடைய சினிமாக்களைப் பார்த்துதான் நான் சினிமாவைக் கற்றுக்கொண்டேன் என்று சொன்னால் அது மிகையாகாது.

நான் ‘பிறவிக் கலைஞன் கமல்ஹாசன்’ என்ற பெயரில் நற்பணி மன்றம் ஒன்றையும் தொடங்கினேன். அவரை நிறைய முறை நேரில் சென்று பார்க்க என்னுடைய நண்பர்கள் அழைத்தாலும், அவரை தூரத்தில் நின்றே ரசிக்கவேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணம் மட்டும்தான் என் மனதில் இருந்தது. அவருடன் சேர்ந்து பல இடங்களில் போட்டோ எடுத்திருந்தாலும், அவருடைய ரசிகனாக, என் மேல் அவர் கை போட்டு எடுத்த போட்டோ இதுவரை ஒன்றுகூட என்னிடம் இல்லை என்பதுதான் உண்மை.

இந்த படத்தில் பாலச்சந்தர் அவர்களின் திரைக்கதை ரொம்பவும் அருமையானது. எல்லா காலகட்டத்திலும் பார்க்கக்கூடிய படம் இது. ரசிக்கக்கூடிய இசை இப்படத்தில் உள்ளது. 300 வருடங்கள் கடந்தாலும், சினிமா என்று ஒன்று இருக்கும்வரை பாலச்சந்தர் அவர்களுடைய சாதனையை யாராலும் தொடமுடியாது என்பது மறுக்கமுடியாது உண்மை.

இவ்வாறு அவர் பேசினார்.

‘‘நானும், கே.பாலசந்தரும் இணைந்து நடிக்க வேண்டும்’’ பட விழாவில், கமல்ஹாசன் பேச்சு

‘‘நானும், கே.பாலசந்தரும் இணைந்து நடிக்க வேண்டும். பாலசந்தரின் அனுமதிக்காக காத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறேன்’’ என்று நடிகர் கமல்ஹாசன் கூறினார்.

‘நினைத்தாலே இனிக்கும்’

34 வருடங்களுக்கு முன் ரஜினிகாந்த்–கமல்ஹாசன் ஆகிய இருவரும் இணைந்து நடித்து, கே.பாலசந்தர் டைரக்டு செய்த படம், ‘நினைத்தாலே இனிக்கும்.’ இந்த படம் நவீன தொழில்நுட்பங்களுடன் புதுப்பிக்கப்பட்டு மீண்டும் திரைக்கு வர இருக்கிறது. இதன் ‘டிரைலர்’ வெளியீட்டு விழா, சென்னை சத்யம் தியேட்டரில் நேற்று காலை நடந்தது.விழாவில் கமல்ஹாசன் கலந்துகொண்டு ‘டிரைலரை’ வெளியிட, தமிழ் திரைப்பட தயாரிப்பாளர்கள் சங்கத்தின் புதிய தலைவர் கேயார் பெற்றுக்கொண்டார்.

விழாவில், கமல்ஹாசன் பேசியதாவது:–

தனித்தனியாக...

‘‘சகோதரர் ரஜினிகாந்த் சார்பில் நான் இங்கு வந்து இருக்கிறேன். அவர் இந்த விழாவுக்கு வர இயலவில்லை. நான் வரவில்லை என்றால் என் சார்பில் அவர் வருவார். எங்கள் இருவருக்கும் இடையே அந்த அளவுக்கு நெருங்கிய நட்பு இருந்து வருகிறது.

34 வருடங்களுக்கு முன்பு இந்த படத்தில் நடித்தபோதுதான் நாங்கள் இருவரும் இனிமேல் இணைந்து நடிப்பதில்லை என்ற முடிவுக்கு வந்தோம். இனிமேல் நாம் இருவரும் ஒரே சம்பளத்தை பங்கு போட்டுக் கொள்ள வேண்டாம். தனித்தனியாக படங்களில் நடிக்கலாம் என்று நான் சொன்னேன். அதை ரஜினியும் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டார்.

இளமை ரகசியம்

கே.பாலசந்தரை பார்த்துதான் எனக்கு டைரக்ஷன் ஆசை வந்தது. இந்தியாவிலேயே சிறந்த டைரக்டர் என்று என்னை இங்கே குறிப்பிட்டார்கள். அதற்கு காரணம், கே.பாலசந்தரிடம் இருந்து நான் கற்றுக் கொண்ட பால பாடம்தான்.என் இளமை ரகசியம் பற்றி கேட்டார்கள். அதை சொல்ல வேண்டாம் என்று ரசிகர்கள் பக்கம் இருந்து குரல் வந்தது. இந்த இளைஞர்களுடன் நான் பழகும் வாய்ப்பு ஏற்பட்டதுதான் என் இளமைக்கு காரணம்.

ஆரம்ப காலத்தில், நான் நடிகன் ஆவேன் என்று நினைக்கவில்லை. டைரக்டர் ஆகவேண்டும் என்றுதான் ஆசைப்பட்டேன். ‘சொல்லத்தான் நினைக்கிறேன்’ படத்தில் நடித்தபோது ஒருநாள் கே.பாலசந்தர் என்னை அழைத்தார். இனிமேல் என்ன செய்யப்போறே? என்று கேட்டார். டைரக்டர் ஆகப்போகிறேன் என்றேன். அந்த பாதையில் போனால், நீ பஸ்சில்தான் வரவேண்டியிருக்கும். உன்னிடம் நடிப்பு திறமை இருக்கிறது என்று வழிகாட்டியவர், கே.பாலசந்தர்.

வேகத்தடை

‘நினைத்தாலே இனிக்கும்’ படம் வெற்றி பெற்றதால் அவர் ஜெயித்து விட்டதாக இங்கே கூறினார். என்றைக்குமே நீங்க (கே.பாலசந்தர்)தான் ஜெயிப்பீங்க. நீங்க ஜெயித்தால், நான் ஜெயித்த மாதிரி.எனக்கு வேகத்தடை போட வேண்டும் என்று ஒருமுறை அவர் சொன்னார். அந்த வேகத்தை நான் கற்றுக்கொண்டதே அவரிடம் இருந்துதான்.

இணைந்து நடிக்க வேண்டும்

அவர் டைரக்ஷனில் 36 படங்களில் நான் நடித்து இருக்கிறேன். அவரிடம் இருந்து நிறைய கற்றுக் கொண்டேன். கே.பாலசந்தர் ஒரு சிறந்த நடிகர். நன்றாக நடித்துக் காட்டுவார். நல்லவேளை, அவர் நடிக்க வரவில்லை. அவருடைய அந்த திறமையை பயன்படுத்திக் கொள்ளும் சந்தர்ப்பத்துக்காக காத்திருக்கிறேன். அவரும், நானும் இணைந்து ஒரு படத்தில் நடிக்க வேண்டும். இதற்காக அவருடைய அனுமதிக்காக காத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறேன்.’’இவ்வாறு கமல்ஹாசன் பேசினார்.

The trailer of K Balachander’s super hit classic, Ninaithale Inikkum, starring the biggest superstars of Tamil Cinema, Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth was released recently in a grand event.

The event boasted the presence of Kamal Haasan, K Balachander, MS Vishwanathan, S Ve Shekar, Ameer, KS Ravikumar and many others.

Fans, who were expecting to see Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth on the same dais, were partly disappointed by the absence of the latter. But the disappointment vanished when the highly eloquent Kamal Haasan began his speech saying, “I’m here to represent my brother, Rajinikanth. And hadn’t I made it to this event, he would have for sure represented me. That is the bond we share.”

The Vishwaroopam star added, “We began our journey as brothers and until today, we share the same relationship.”

“It was during the shoot of the song Engeyum Eppodhum, from this movie, we agreed to start doing films individually, as we had been getting half the salary back then. கடவுள் நமபிக்கை, நல்ல நேரம், கெட்ட நேரம் போன்றவை நிறைந்தது சினிமா உலகம். படத்திற்கு பூஜை போடுவதில் இருந்து, படப்பிடிப்பு தொடங்கி கடைசியில் பூசணிக்காய் உடைக்கிறது வரைக்கும் இதையெல்லாம் சரியாக கடைபிடிப்பார்கள். ஆனால், அப்படிப்பட்ட சினிமாவில் இது எதையும் பார்க்காமல் தனது திறமை, முயற்சி, உழைப்பு இவற்றையே மூலதனமாகக்கொண்டு இன்று வரை வெற்றி மேல் வெற்றி பெற்று வருகிறார் கமல். குறிப்பாக கடவுள் நம்பிக்கை இல்லாதவர்.

ஆனால், அப்படிப்பட்ட கமல், ரீ ரிலிசாகும் நினைத்தாலே இனிக்கும் படத்தின் ட்ரெய்லர் வெளியீட்டு விழாவுக்கு வந்திருந்தபோது., அவரது ரசிகர்களும் பெருந்திரளாக கூடியிருந்தனர். கமலின் பெயரை மேடையில் பேசுவோர் உச்சரிக்கும்போதெல்லாம் கைதட்டி ஆரவாரம் செய்தனர். இந்த நேரத்தில் சிலர், ஆழ்வார்பேட்டை ஆண்டவா என்றும் அவ்வப்போது குரல் கொடுத்தனர்.

இதை மேடையில் அமர்ந்திருக்கும்போது கேட்ட கமல் அவ்வப்போது ரசிகர்களை மெளனமாக இருக்குமாறு கைசைகையில் கேட்டுக்கொண்டு வந்தார். ஆனால், அந்த ஆழ்வார்பேட்டை ஆண்டவா மட்டும் ரசிகர் கூட்டத்தில் இருந்து ஒலித்துக்கொண்டேயிருந்தது. அதுவும் கமல் மைக் முன்னே பேச வரும்போது இன்னும் வேகமாக ஒலித்தது.

இதனால், ரசிகர்களைப்பார்த்து, நான் கடவுளே இல்லன்னு சொல்லிக்கிட்டிருக்கேன். நீங்க என்னேயே கடவுளுங்கிறீங்களா என்று ரசிகர்களைப்பார்த்து லேசாக சிரித்தபடி சொல்ல, அதோடு ஆப்பாகி விட்டனர். அதன்பிறகு அந்த ஆழ்வார்பேட்டை ஆண்டவா சத்தம் அரங்கில் ஒலிக்கவேயில்லை.

It just fizzes of when we speak about a good film "Nammavar". The film was too high a standard to be digested by the usual movie goers who expect most of the times rather all the time, a GARAMM MASAALA. The theme was novel and so is the filming and performance of the lead stars.

Inspired from Nadigar Thilagam's ILAYA THALAIMURAI, where the thespian dons the greasepaint as Hostel Warden (re-drafted as professor by Mr.KH), Srikanth in the role of Mr.Karan, the daughter role of Nagesh was originally a Male character and shown as orphan and so on....the cancer part was missing in IlayaThalaimurai.

பத்து வருடங்களுக்கு முன்பு வெளியான படம் அன்பே சிவம். கமல், மாதவன், கிரண், நாசர், சந்தானபாரதி நடித்திருந்தார்கள். சுந்தர்.சி டைரக்ட் செய்திருந்தார், வித்யாசாகர் மியூசிக் போட்டிருந்தார். லட்சுமி மூவி மேக்கர்ஸ் தயாரித்திருந்தது. ராஜ்கமல் பிலிம்ஸ் இண்டர்நேஷனல் ரிலீஸ் செய்திருந்தது.

அன்பு ஒன்றுதான் எல்லாவற்றிலும் சிறந்தது என்கிற கருத்தை ஆணித்தரமாக வலியுறுத்தி எடுக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது. சமூக போராளியாக வாழும் ஒருவன் அன்பால் வாழும் ஒரு அற்புத வாழ்க்கையை சொன்னது. கமல் நடித்ததில் அவருக்கு பிடித்த 5 படங்களில் இதுவும் ஒன்று. ஆனால் பத்து ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு இருந்த ரசிப்பு தரம் படத்தை ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளவில்லை. கதை சொன்ன விதம் ரசிகனுக்கு பிடிக்கவில்லை படம் எதிர்பார்த்த அளவிற்கு போகவில்லை. தயாரிப்பாளர்களுக்கு ஏகப்பட்ட நஷ்டம். பத்து வருடங்களுக்கு பிறகு வந்திருக்க வேண்டிய படம் என்று அப்போது மீடியாக்களால் விமர்சிக்கப்பட்டது.

அது இப்போது சரியாகி இருக்கிறது. இப்போதுள்ள இளைஞர்கள் அன்பே சிவம் படத்தை சிலாகித்து ரசிக்கிறார்கள். தொலைக்காட்சியில் அந்த படம் ஒளிபரப்பானால் பாராட்டி அந்த நிறுவனத்துக் ஏகப்பட்ட கடிதங்கள் வருகிறதாம். மறுபடியும் எப்போது ஒளிபரப்புவீர்கள் என்ற கேட்கிறார்களாம்.

படத் தயாரிப்பு நிறுவனமான லட்சுமி மூவி மேக்கர்ஸ் நிறுவனத்துக்கும் படத்தை ரீ- ரிலீஸ் பண்ணச் சொல்லி கடிதமும், தொலைபேசிகளும் வருகிறதாம். இதனால் படத்தை ரி ரீலீஸ் பண்ணும் முயற்சியில் தயாரிப்பாளர் கே.முரளிதரன் ஈடுபட்டிருக்கிறார். "உயர்ந்த தரமான படங்கள் மறு வெளியீடு செய்யப்பட்டு மக்களிடம் நல்ல வரவேற்பை பெற்று வருகிறது. கமலின், ‘நினைத்தாலே இனிக்கும்’ படத்தின் மறு ரிலீசுக்கு பலத்த எதிர்பார்ப்பு ஏற்பட்டிருக்கிறது. அதனால் ‘அன்பே சிவம்’ படத்தை டிஜிட்டல்படுத்தி ஆடியோ தரம் உயர்த்தி மறுபடியும் வெளியிட முடிவு செய்திருக்கிறோம். கமலின் அனுமதிக்காக காத்திருக்கிறோம்" என்கிறார் முரளிதரன்.

ரஜினிகாந்த் பேச்சு
சென்னையில் நேற்று இரவு நடந்த சினிமா நூற்றாண்டு விழாவில் நடிகர் ரஜினிகாந்த் கலந்து கொண்டு பேசினார். அவர் பேசியதாவது:-
‘‘இந்த விழாவை மிக சிறப்பாக நடத்தியதற்காக, முதல்-அமைச்சருக்கு என் நன்றி. என் திரையுலக அண்ணன் கமல்ஹாசனுக்கும், ரசிகர்களுக்கும் நன்றி. அன்றும் சரி, இன்றும் சரி, நான் கமல் ரசிகன். இரண்டு பேரும் சேர்ந்து ஏழு எட்டு படங்கள் நடித்தோம். கமல் இஷ்டப்பட்டு நடித்தார். நான் கஷ்டபட்டு நடித்தேன்.

இந்திய சினிமா நூற்றாண்டு விழாவை கொண்டாடும் இந்த வேளையில், சாதாரண ஆளாக இருந்த என்னை சினிமாவில் பெரிய ஆளாக்கிய கே.பாலசந்தருக்கு நன்றி தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன். என்னை வளர்த்த தயாரிப்பாளர்கள், டைரக்டர்கள், வினியோகஸ்தர்கள், தியேட்டர் அதிபர்களுக்கு நன்றி.

நடிப்பை தவிர...
சமூகத்தில் இவ்வளவு பெரிய ஆளாக என்னை மதிக்கிற அனைவருக்கும் நன்றி. அது, சினிமா எனக்கு கொடுத்த பிச்சை. 38 வருடங்களாக சினிமாவில் இருக்கிறேன். நடிப்பதை தவிர எனக்கு வேறு ஒன்றும் தெரியாது. வேறு இரண்டு மூன்று விஷயங்களில் இறங்கி, என்னால் ஜெயிக்க முடியவில்லை. ஆனால், கமல் அப்படி அல்ல. நிறைய விஷயங்கள் தெரிந்தவர்.
சினிமாவில் வில்லனாக இருந்த என்னை காமெடியாக நடிக்க வைத்தவர், கே.பாலசந்தர். ஆறில் இருந்து அறுபது வரை படத்தில், என்னை சோகமாக நடிக்க வைத்தவர், எஸ்.பி.முத்துராமன். முள்ளும் மலரும் படத்தில் இயல்பாக நடிக்க வைத்தவர், மகேந்திரன். பாட்ஷா படத்தின் மூலம் என்னை எங்கேயோ கொண்டு போனவர், சுரேஷ் கிருஷ்ணா. முத்து, படையப்பா, கோச்சடையான் ஆகிய படங்களில் கே.எஸ்.ரவிகுமார், சந்திரமுகியில் பி.வாசு இவர்கள் எல்லாம் மறக்க முடியாதவர்கள்.

ஜாம்பவான்கள்
இவர்கள் எல்லோரும் என்னை உயரத்தில் தூக்கிக் கொண்டு போய் வைத்து விட்டு, போய் விட்டார்கள். நான் தனிமையில் இருக்கிறேன். ‘டாப்’பில் இருப்பவர்களுக்கு இதுதான் பிரச்சினை. இதற்குத்தானே ஆசைப்பட்டாய் சிவாஜிராவ் என்று என்னை நானே சமாதானப்படுத்திக் கொள்கிறேன்.
சினிமாவில் ஜாம்பவான்களாக இருந்த தாதா சாகேப் பால்கே, சாந்தாராம், எஸ்.எஸ்.வாசன், ஏவி.மெய்யப்ப செட்டியார், நாகிரெட்டி, சக்ரபாணி இவர்கள் எல்லாம் போட்ட சாப்பாட்டை இப்போது நாம் வேறுவிதமாக சாப்பிட்டுக் கொண்டிருக்கிறோம்.

மகான்கள்
சினிமா இப்போது எவ்வளவோ முன்னேறினாலும், சந்திரலேகா மாதிரி ஒரு படத்தை எடுக்க முடியுமா? அவ்வையார் படத்தை நான் பத்து வயதில் பார்த்தேன். அந்த பிரமிப்பு இன்னும் இருக்கிறது.
எம்.ஜி.ஆர். நடித்த அடிமைப்பெண், நாடோடி மன்னன், சிவாஜி நடித்த திருவிளையாடல், சரஸ்வதி சபதம் ஆகிய படங்கள் எல்லாம் காவியங்கள். அந்த காவியங்களை படைத்து அமரர்களாகிப்போன மகான்களின் பாதங்களுக்கு புஷ்பாஞ்சலி செலுத்துகிறேன்.

அதேபோன்ற இன்னொரு மகான், கமல்ஹாசன். அபூர்வ சகோதரர்கள், தசாவதாரம் ஆகிய படங்களை அவரை தவிர, வேறு எந்த நடிகராலும் நடிக்க முடியாது.

அபூர்வ உலகம்
சினிமா, ஒரு வித்தியாசமான தொழில். இதில் தயாரிப்பாளர்கள்தான் எப்போதுமே கஷ்டப்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். சினிமாவில் வெற்றி பெற்றவர்கள் வாழ்க்கையில் தோற்று இருக்கிறார்கள். வாழ்க்கையில் வெற்றி பெற்றவர்கள் சினிமாவில் தோற்று இருக்கிறார்கள். இது, ஒரு மாயாபஜார். அபூர்வமான உலகம்.

நான், 38 வருடங்களாக சினிமாவில் இருக்கிறேன். கமல், 55 வருடங்களாக சினிமாவில் இருக்கிறார். நம் வாழ்நாளில் பார்க்க முடிகிற மிக திறமையான நடிகர் கமல். இப்போது வந்திருக்கிற இளம் நடிகர்களிடம் நான் கேட்டுக்கொள்வது, பொருளாதார ரீதியாக உங்களை உயர்த்திக் கொள்ளுங்கள்.’’
இவ்வாறு ரஜினிகாந்த் பேசினார்.

கமல்ஹாசன் பேச்சு
விழாவில், கமல்ஹாசன் பேசியதாவது:-
‘‘சினிமாவில், நான் 50 வருடங்களாக இருந்தாலும் இன்னும் சின்ன குழந்தைதான். குழந்தையாக இருந்தபோது சிவாஜியின் மடியிலும், எம்.ஜி.ஆரின் தோளிலும் வளர்ந்தவன். நான் ஜெயிக்காமல் இருக்க முடியுமா? சினிமாவில் எனக்கு இரண்டு குருக்கள் இருக்கிறார்கள். ஒருவர், சிவாஜி. இன்னொருவர், கே.பாலசந்தர்.
இந்திய சினிமா நூற்றாண்டு கொண்டாடும் இந்த வேளையில், என்னை வளர்த்த தயாரிப்பாளர்கள், டைரக்டர்கள், ரசிகர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் நன்றி தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன். அடுத்த தலைமுறையினர் எங்களை விட பெரிய அளவில் வளர வேண்டும்.’’

When Sridevi spat on Rajinikanth!

He might have missed the trailer launch of Ninaithale Inikkum, but Rajinikanth made up for it by turning up for the trailer launch of the 1977 film 16 Vayathinile, in which he shared screen space with Kamal Haasan.

The Superstar went on a nostalgic trip when talking at the event. "During the shoot, no one would talk to me, as I was a relative newcomer. It was Kamal, to whom the production people went, to have a chat," he said. Praising the film's producer Rajkannu, he said, "When Rajkannu met me about re-releasing 16 Vayathinile a few months back, he told me that we should give away the collections to Kamal, who was at that time having difficulties in releasing Vishwaroopam. It is difficult to find such persons in our film industry."

Kamal, meanwhile, spoke on how the film had to overcome a number of odds to get released. "The majority of comments that we got when making the film was that it would flop. In fact, when I was driving from the studio, a person riding a bike came up to me and said that the film will tank," he said. On the difficulties the crew faced during production, he said, "When we shot the scene of Mayilu running in slow motion, we did not have the budget to afford a camera that could shoot slow motion scenes. So, Sridevi literally ran in slow motion."

Talking about his relationship with Rajinikanth, Kamal said that it was remarkable that their friendship has withstood the test of time despite several people trying to drive a wedge between the two. Director Bharathirajaa revealed that Rajini told Sridevi to spit on him for real in the scene in which Mayilu spits on the face of Parattai. "It was taking several takes to shoot the scene and finally, Rajini went to Sridevi and told her to go ahead and spit for real. Such was his dedication," he remarked.

Just watched PUSHPAK after a long time!

what a film! and what a nuanced performance by Kamal - his body language and nonchalant acting makes this a performance on par with any one can see in international cinema!

+1. This is one of his best movies .. I too watched this one couple of months back... No Prosthetic Make-up, no Graphics, Superb Background score.. Nice, Clean Cinema..... Very rare to see this kind of movies.

Kamal Haasan plans yet another new makeover

Bald with French beard ..... Looks like it is happening and shot in karnataka ?

Even as Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam 2 is being readied at a fast clip, the ace actor is putting all plans in place for his next film, to be directed by Ramesh Aravind. This would be a comedy entertainer to be produced by Lingusamy's Thirrupathi Brothers and Kamal is apparently looking at a new makeover for this film.

He is likely to go bald for this film while also sporting a stylish French beard. But the final word on his makeover for this film is reserved until the time the star decides to reveal the first look of the film. Kamal also updated at a recent event in Bangalore that this film would be a bilingual which would be shot in Karnataka, the director's home state. They plan to reach out to the entire South through their bilingual.

There are reports doing the rounds that Sarath Kumar is also a part of this film, tentatively titled Uthama Villain. An official announcement regarding the title, cast, crew and other plans for the film can be expected only after Kamal is ready with Vishwaroopam 2.

Buddies come together

It was an event Kamal Hassan’s fans were waiting for. The press conference was even postponed once, heightening the suspense but Kamal Hassan and his best buddy Ramesh Aravind did not fail their fans.
The duo recently announced that Kamal Hassan would be acting in a bilingual — Kannada and Tamil — directed by Ramesh Aravind to the delight of everyone at the event. Ramesh says that the two of them have been planning something on these lines for a long time.
Ramesh and Kamal were discovered by the same person and the two of them began their career around the same time.
Now, 20 years after their stint in the film industry, the two share a close bond, one that has been unshaken by the passage of time and change of circumstances.

Their on-screen combination worked well and their first film together in Tamil, Sathi Leelavathi was a big hit. They came together again in Panchathantiram and thereafter worked on several projects, including their Kannada film Rama Shama Bhama.

Their latest bilingual venture tentatively titled Uthama Villain, meaning good villain, is in the scripting stage and will be a family entertainer with loads of action sequences thrown in to keep the audience at the edge of their seats. A large portion of the film will be shot in Bangalore and it is touted to be a big budget project.

Kamal spent some quality time with Ramesh during his recent visit. He had lunch at Ramesh’s place considering that even the families are close.

“We have never taken our friendship for granted. There’s mutual respect for each other’s point of view and we’ve reached a stage where we don’t really feel bad or get irritated with the other’s observation or comment about something. That’s the level of understanding and comfort we share,” says Ramesh.

Ramesh doesn’t hesitate to add, “We have always had an open communication and that’s why I feel the two of us share a similar taste when it comes to a lot of things like books, music and movies.”

Even after all these years, Ramesh feels that Kamal has remained the same. “I
admire Kamal’s total commitment to cinema and he always goes an extra mile to give all his projects his best shot. I’ve watched all his movies and there’s a constant exchange of ideas between us, be it on our individual projects or otherwise,” notes Ramesh.

For the moment, Ramesh wishes to concentrate on his project with Kamal and states that he may not sign any project unless it is an exceptional one. His historical film, Basavanna is ready for release. “I’ve always wanted to play a historical character. With this project, that has been fulfilled,” he concludes.

Kamal Haasan will be honoured with the lifetime achievement award at the 15th Mumbai Film Festival that is to be held in Mumbai next month. The Mumbai Academy of Moving Images (MAMI) festival will present this award to the filmmaker-actor for his immense contribution to cinematic excellence.

Shyam Benegal said, “He is a legend in every sense of the term. He is a writer, singer, director, lyricist and an actor par-excellence. We are extremely honored to present the Lifetime Achievement Award to Kamal Haasan.”

Srinivasan Narayanan said, “My generation grew up watching Kamal Haasan’s films. His growth as an actor from K. Balachander’s Arangetram and Apoorva Raagangal to his award winning performances in Mani Ratnam’s Nayagan and Indian and the variety he brought in – from serious films to comedies to action films is phenomenal. He is straddling across all departments of filmmaking like a colossus.”

The 15th Mumbai Film Festival will take place from the 17th – 24, October 2013.

Kamal's pair in 'Uthama Villain'

Last week there were rumors doing around that Kajal Agarwal has refused an offer to star in Kamalhassan's next film. But now there seems to be a twist in the tale. Kamal who is busy wrapping up Viswaroopam 2 the sequel to the Viswaroopam the blockbuster of 2013, has signed up a film tentatively titled Uthama Villain which is going to be produced on a grand scale by Thirupathi Brothers which has Director Lingusamy as one of its partners. Kannada Star Ramesh Arvind who has acted quite a few films with Ulaganayagan in Tamil as well as Kannada has has acquired the coveted role of directing a Kamalhassan film in Tamil. It is to be noted that the fame of directing him in a Kannada film which was the remake of the Tamil superhit Sathileelavathi.

Crazy Mohan the ace comedy script writer is back in the actors camp to write the screenplay and dialogues for this mega budget venture. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be setting the tunes for this film and this being his first association with the star who has completed more than fifty years in the industry, the fans can be assured of an upcoming chartbuster.

The Makers of the film have now confirmed that Kajal has been finalised as the lead lady of this film. Quizzed on this change of decision, the Thuppaakki girl said. "First they asked for dates in September, which I could not accommodate. Now the start of the shoot has been postponed to November-December so hence I readily accepted the offer".

விழாவில் கமல்ஹாசன் பேசியதாவது:-

அன்புக்காக...
‘‘நான் இந்த விழாவுக்கு வந்தது அன்புக்காக. வர இயலாத அளவுக்கு எல்லா இடையூறுகளும் இருந்தன. விடாபிடியாக வற்புறுத்தி அழைத்ததின் பேரில் இங்கு வந்தேன். படத்தையும் இப்படி அடம்பிடித்து சிறப்பாக எடுத்திருப்பார்கள் என்று நம்புகிறேன். அடம் பிடித்து எடுத்ததால்தான் காலதாமதம் ஏற்பட்டு இருக்கும்.
இந்த காலதாமதம் கூட வெற்றிக்கு வழி வகுக்கும். இதுதான் வேண்டும் என்று நம்புவதே அபூர்வம். என் சொற்ப அனுபவத்தில் கூறுகிறேன். நான் நம்பி எடுத்த படங்கள் 90 சதவீதம் தோற்றதே இல்லை.

வெற்றி
நாம் சிரித்து நாம் அழுது எடுத்த படங்கள் அனைத்தும் நிச்சயம் வெற்றி பெறும். வாழ்க்கையும் இப்படி தான். நம்பிக்கை இருந்தால் ஜெயித்து விடலாம்.
அபூர்வ சகோதரர்கள் படம் எடுக்கும் போது, ‘நீங்களே அதிக உயரம் இல்லை குள்ளமாக நடிப்பதில் என்ன இருக்கிறது. அமிதாபச்சன் குள்ள மனிதராக நடிக்கலாம் என்றெல்லாம் பேசினார்கள்’.

மெல்லிய கோடு
பருவத்துக்கும், தன்னம்பிக்கைக்கும் நடுவில் மெல்லிய கோடு இருக்கிறது. அதை நம்பி இந்த படத்தை எடுத்து இருக்கிறார்கள்.
நடிகர் வினய் முதன் முதலாக என்னை பார்த்த போது தடுமாற்றத்தால் எனக்கு வாழ்த்து சொன்னதாக தெரிவித்தார். உங்கள் வாழ்த்து நிச்சயமாக எனக்கு வேண்டும். ஒருவருக்கொருவர் வாழ்த்துக்களை பரிமாறிக் கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

தன்னம்பிக்கை
வெற்றி வரும் போது தன்னம்பிக்கையும் வரும். எம்.எஸ்.விஸ்வநாதன், இளையராஜா போன்றவர்களை அதற்கு உதாரணமாக சொல்லலாம். கைத்தட்டலுக்கு எப்போதுமே பலம் உண்டு. ரசிகர்களின் கைத்தட்டல்தான் நடிகர்களுக்கு உண்மையான சம்பளம். மற்றதெல்லாம் வரியாக போய்விடும்’’. இவ்வாறு கமல்ஹாசன் பேசினார்.

திரைப்படத் துறையில் நுழையும் இளைஞர்களுக்காக தொழில் பயிற்சி அளிக்கும் வகையில் தொழில் பயிற்சி மையங்கள் அமைக்க வேண்டும் என்று நடிகர் கமல்ஹாசன் கேட்டுக் கொண்டார்.

பெங்களூருவில் இந்திய தொழில் வர்த்தகசபைக் கூட்டமைப்பு சார்பில், செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை நடைபெற்ற இந்திய ஊடகம் மற்றும் பொழுதுபோக்கு வர்த்தக கருத்தரங்கை கர்நாடக முதல்வர் சித்தராமையா தொடக்கிவைத்தார்.

கருத்தரங்கில் நடிகர் கமல்ஹாசன் பேசியது:

இந்தியாவில் 60 சதவீதத் திரைப்படங்கள் தென்னிந்தியாவில் தயாராகின்றன. இதுவரை மும்பையில் ஃபிக்கியின் சார்பில், மாநாடு, கருத்தரங்கு நடத்தப்பட்டு வந்தன.

முதல் முறையாக தகவல் தொழில்நுட்ப நகரமான பெங்களூருவில் பொழுதுபோக்கு வர்த்தகக் கருத்தரங்கு நடத்தப்படுகிறது. இதற்கு ஆதரவு தந்த கர்நாடக அரசுக்கு நன்றி.

கருத்தரங்கில் பொழுதுபோக்குத் துறையின் வளர்ச்சிக்கு தேவையான விஷயங்கள் அலசி ஆராயப்படும். உலகம் முழுவதும் டிஜிட்டல் மயமாகி வருகிறது. அதுகுறித்து தீவிரமாக இந்தக் கருத்தரங்கில் விவாதிக்கப்படும்.

இந்தக் கருத்தரங்கு மூலம் திரைப்படத் துறையும், அரசும் அடுத்த கட்டத்தை அடையத் தேவையான நடவடிக்கைகளை எடுக்க வேண்டும். திரைப்படத் துறையில் நுழையும் இளைஞர்களுக்கு தொழில் பயிற்சி அளிக்கும் வகையில், தொழில் பயிற்சி மையங்கள் அமைக்க வேண்டும் என்றார் அவர்.

கர்நாடக முதல்வர் சித்தராமையா பேசியது:

சமூக நியாயங்களையும், வாழ்க்கைக்குத் தேவையான கருத்துகளையும் கூறும் சிறந்த திரைப்படங்களைத் தந்த பெருமை இந்திய திரைப்படத் துறைக்கு உள்ளது. அதிலும் சிறந்த படங்களைத் தந்த பெருமை தென்னிந்திய திரைப்படத் துறைக்கு அதிகம் உள்ளது.

பொழுதுபோக்கு வர்த்தகத்துக்கு சிறந்த எதிர்காலம் உள்ளது. தற்போது, ரூ. 23,900 கோடியாக உள்ள பொழுதுபோக்கு வர்த்தகம் வருகிற 2017-ஆம் ஆண்டில், ரூ. 43,600 ஆயிரம் கோடியாக உயரும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது என்றார் சித்தராமையா.

கருத்தரங்கில் கர்நாடக அமைச்சர் அம்பரீஷ், மத்திய தகவல் தொழில்நுட்பத் துறைச் செயலர் பிமல்ஜுல்கா, மண்டியா மக்களவைத் தொகுதி உறுப்பினர் ரம்யா, கர்நாடக திரைப்பட வர்த்தக சபைத் தலைவர் கனகராஜ் உள்ளிட்டோர் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.

Kamal's flick to have two comedians

Kamal's frequency of full length comedy flicks is something everyone knows, they have fun in each and every nook and corner. Now post Vishwaroopam 2 it was reported that he will be acting in "Uthama Villain" and Vivek will be playing a major role for the first time in Kamal's movie.

Now to add the cream on the top, yet another comedian ruling the roost currently has been roped in as well. Its none other than Santhanam, so expect a roller coaster of fun on the way. As crazy Mohan is penning the dialogues for the film as he had in a few of Kamal's earlier movies, the expectation has just gone high.

‘விஸ்வரூபம்-2’ படத்தைத் தொடர்ந்து கமல், தனது நீண்ட நாளைய நண்பரும், நடிகருமான ரமேஷ் அரவிந்த் இயக்கும் புதிய படத்தில் கமல் நடிக்க ஒப்பந்தமாகியுள்ளார். கன்னட நடிகரான ரமேஷ் அரவிந்த் கமலுடன் சேர்ந்து பல படங்களிலும் நடித்துள்ளார்.

இந்நிலையில், கன்னடத்து சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் ஒருவரும் கமலுடன் இணைந்து நடிக்க ஆர்வமாக இருப்பதாக கூறியுள்ளார். கன்னடத்து சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் சிவராஜ்குமார். 51 வயதாகும் இவர், கன்னடத்தில் நூற்றுக்கும் மேற்பட்ட படங்களில் நடித்து தனக்கென ஒரு ரசிகர் வட்டாரத்தை இன்றளவும் தக்க வைத்திருப்பவர்.

இவர்தான் கமலுடன் ஒரு படமாவது சேர்ந்து நடித்து விடவேண்டும் என்று ஆசையில் உள்ளார். இதுகுறித்து அவர் கூறும்போது,
நான் கமலின் அதிதீவிர ரசிகன். ஒருமுறை கமலை சந்தித்போது அவர் என்னை கட்டித்தழுவி தனது அன்பை வெளிப்படுத்தினார். அன்றுமுதல் இரண்டு நாட்களுக்கு நான் குளிக்கவே இல்லை. காரணம், இந்த இனிய அனுபவம் என்னைவிட்டு போய்விடக்கூடாது என்பதனால்தான்.

கமலுடன் ஒரு படத்திலாவது இணைந்து நடித்துவிட வேண்டும் என்பது என்னுடைய நீண்ட நாள் கனவு. அந்த கனவு இன்னும் நிறைவேறாமலேயே உள்ளது.

இவ்வாறு அவர் கூறியுள்ளார்.

உலக நாயகனின் பல அவதாரங்களை பக்கத்தில் இருந்து பார்த்திருக்கிறேன் அதில் ஒரு சிறு நினைவலை தான் இது. மும்பாய் எக்ஸ்பிரஸ் ரசிகர்களின் கொண்டாட்டத்துக்கு ஒரு சிறப்பு ரயில் கன்னியாகுமரியில் இருந்து சென்னை வரை ஏறபாடு செய்யபட்டிருந்தது. இதில் ஒவ்வொரு ஊரின் கமல் ரசிகர்களும் அவர் அவர் ஊர் பெட்டியில் ஏறி சென்னை வரை வந்து சென்னையில் இரண்டு நாட்கள் ஒரு தொலைக்காட்சியின் தயவில் தங்கியிருந்து பின்பு 3வது நாளாய் திரும்பவும் அவர்கள் சொந்த ஊருக்கு செல்ல்லும்படி பிளான் அமைக்கபட்டிருந்தது.

இதில் கமலும் சென்னையில் ரசிகர்கள் சந்திப்பதை விட ரயிலிலே அவர்களுடன் பயணம் செய்தால் நன்றாய் இருக்கும் என எண்ணீ கமலை ரசிகர்களுடன் ரயிலில் பயணிக்க வைப்பது என முடிவு எடுத்து ஐடியாவே கொடுத்தவுடன் கமல் ஒகே என்றார். பின்பு அவரை எப்படி இந்த சிறப்பு ரெயில் கொண்ட வர முடியும் என்ற போது அவரை திருச்சியில் இருந்து ஜாய்ன் செய்து கொல்ள செய்யலாம் என எண்ணி அவரை அழைத்து வரும் பொறுப்பு என்னிடம் வழங்கப்பட்டது. நான் அப்போது பணி நிமித்தமாக மலேஷியா சென்றிருந்தால் கமலை சென்னை விமான நிலையம் வரை அழைத்து வர அவரின் காரியதர்ஸி நிகிலிடமும் பின்பு நான் சென்னைக்கு காலை 10:30 மணிக்கு அவருடன் டமஸ்டிக் விமான நிலையத்தில் லவுன்ஞில் ஜாயின் செய்து பின்பு 11:45 இந்தியன் ஏர்லைன்ஸில் திருச்சி செல்ல காத்திருந்தோம். அவர் காலை என்ன சாப்பிட்டார் என எனக்கு தெரியலை நான் ஒன்னும் சாப்பிடலை. லவிஞ்சில் சான்ட்விச் என்ற பெயரில் ஒரு பிரட் துன்டை நாலாய் நருக்கி அதில் கொஞ்சம் பட்டரின் வாசத்தை காணிபித்து வைத்திருருந்த தம்மாதுன்டு சான்ட்விச்சை பார்த்த வுடன் தட்டை அப்படியே ஸ்பெஷல் எஃபக்ட்டில் காலி செய்து விட ஆசை ஆனா பக்கத்துல பேசிக்கொண்டே நம்ம கமல் அதனால் வெரும் 6 கிளாஸ் ஜூசுடன் என் அப்பிட்டீட்டை அமுக்கி வைத்துக்கொண்டேன். விமானத்தில் சாப்பிடலாம் பிஸினஸ் கிளாஸ் தானே என்று அமர்ந்திருந்தேன். விமான போர்டிங் அழைப்பு வரவே எழுந்து போனோம். 1ஏ - ஆ ராசா (2ஜி) அவர் தான். 1 பி காலி 1சியில் நானும் / 1டியில் தலைவரும் அமர விமானம் கிளம்பியது. வழக்கம் போல ஒருகாலத்து சிம்ரன் 30 வருஷம் கழிச்சி வந்தா எப்படியோ அப்படி ஒரு அம்மா கேன் ஐ செர்வ் லன்ச்னு கேட்டாக. நானும் யெஸ் வெஜிட்டேரியன் என்று கூற தலைவனோ நோ ஐ அம் ஃபைன் என்று சொல்லி தூங்க எத்தனித்தார்.

சாம்பார் சாதமும் உருளைக்கிழங்கும் பறிமாறபட்டது. நான் சுவைக்க தலைவருக்கு மூக்கில் வியர்க்க கேட்டார் ஹவ் இஸ் த ஃபுட் என? உடனே நான் வெரி நைஸ் என சொல்ல தலைவன் அழைப்பு பொத்தானாய் அமுக்க உடனே அந்த பழைய சிம்ரன் வந்து யெஸ் ப்ளீஸ் என கேட்க தலைவன் ஐ வுட் லைக் டூ ஹேவ் ஒன் மோர் சாம்பார் ரைஸ் என சொல்ல ஐயோ சாரி சார் வி ஹேவ் ஒன்லி சான்ட்விச் அன்ட் ஆம்ளட்னு பதில தலைவருக்கு ஒரு மாதிரி ஆகிவிட்டது. உடனே நான் சார் ப்ளீஸ் ஷேர் வித் மீனு ஒரு தைரியத்துடன் சொல்ல ஒகேன்னு டக்குனு அந்த அம்மாவிடம் ஒரு ஸ்பூனை வாங்கி ஒன் பை டூ கல்ச்சருக்கு மாறினோம். கொஞ்சமும் எந்த வித தலைக்கனமும் இல்லாமல் சாம்பாரும் / உருளைக்கிழங்கும் இருவரும் சாப்பிட்டோம். திருச்சி வந்தது. வந்த உடன் ராசாவுக்காக நாலு பேர் வந்திருந்தார்கள் ஆனால் தலைவரின் அண்ணனை தவிர வேறு யாரும் இல்லை. எனக்கு அதிர்ச்சி என்னடா இது தலைவனுக்காக ஒருத்தன் கூட வரலையான்னு - சரின்னு அவருடம் கிளம்பினோம்.

திருச்சி வெளியே ஹோட்டல் காவேரின்னு நினைக்கேன் (சரியா தெரியலை - இங்க ஃபேஸ்புக் நண்பர்கள் நிறையபேர் அதுல கலந்திகிட்டதால - நீங்களே கன்ஃபார்ம் பன்னுங்க). அந்த ஹோட்டலின் தெருவில் வண்டி திரும்பின உடனே ஒரே சத்தம் என்னடன்னு பார்த்தாஒரு 8000 - 10 ஆயிரம் பேர் தெருவை அடைச்சிகிட்டு நிக்கிறாங்க கமல் சொன்னார் டிரைவர் வண்டியை நேரா விடுங்க, ரவி சைட் லாக் பன்னுங்கன்னு கொஞ்சம் நேரம் எனக்கு என்னவோ பாஸ்போர்ட் இல்லாம பார்டர் தான்டற பயம் அப்பா அப்படி ஒரு கிரேஸி / வெறி என்னவேனும்னாலும் சொல்லாம் தலைவா தலைவான்னு குரல் அடுத்த ரென்டு நாளுக்கு காதுல ஒலித்து கொண்டே இருந்தது. ஹோட்டலுக்கு போய் இறங்கின உடனே வெடி மற்றூம் விண்ணை பிளக்கும் சத்தம் நான் வண்டிக்குளே டர்ராகி கிடந்தேன். அவர் இறங்கி போன பிறகு வண்டியை சுற்றி கூட்டம் சுத்தமா இல்லை தெம்பா இறங்கி ரூமுக்கு போயாச்சு. கமல் லன்சுக்கு அவர் அண்ணன் வீட்ல இருந்து சாப்பாடு வந்திருந்தது. சாப்பிட்டு நீங்க ரெஸ்ட் எடுங்க கரெக்டா 4:30க்கு கிளம்புவோம்னு சொன்னாரு. நானும் ரயில்ல வர்ரவங்கட்ட சொல்லிட்டேன். ரயில் 5 மணிக்கு திருச்சி ஜங்க்ஷனு வரும் தலைவர் ஏறி அதுல செங்கல்பட்டு வரை பயணம்னு பிளான். நானும் தூக்காச்சி போடு பிர்ஷா கிளம்பி ரெடியாய் 4 மணிக்கு வந்தா ஒரு ரசிகரும் இல்லை. போலீஸ் பட்டாளம் நின்னுகிட்டு இருந்தது. கிளம்பலாம்னு சொல்லும் போதே சிறப்பு ரயில் சிக்னல் பிரச்சினைனால 1 மணி நேரம் தாமதமாம். சரின்னு ஒரு வழியா 5:15 கிளம்பலாம்னு வண்டியிலே ஏறும் போது திருச்சி டி எஸ் பி ஆபிஸ்ல இருந்து போன் சார் திருச்சி ஜங்கஷ்னுக்கு போற அத்தனை ரோடும் ஜாம் நீங்க ஜங்கஷனுக்கு வரப்போவது தெரிஞ்சி போச்சு அதனால் பிளான மாத்துங்க இல்லைனா கென்சல் பன்னுங்கன்னு சொன்ன வுடனே எல்லோருக்கும் குழப்பம்.தலைவரோ இல்லை ரசிகரய் ஏமாற்ற முடியாது அதனால் லெட்ஸ் பிளான் சம்திங்னு சொல்லி ஒரு ஏசிகிட்ட கொஞ்சம் நேரம் பேசிட்டு வாங்க போலாம்னு கிளம்பினோம். ஆனா பின் கேட் வழியா நேரா வன்டி ஒற்றையடி பாதை வழியா என்னாடான்னு கேட்க தயக்கம் ஆனா வரே என் ஒரு டாலர் மூஞ்சி பத்து காசு மூஞ்சியாய் ஆனதை கவனித்து சொன்னாரு - ரவி போலீஸ் நம்மை திருச்சி ஸ்டேஷ்னுக்கு போக முடியாததால் அதற்க்கு முன் உள்ள ஒரு ஷ்டேஷனுக்கு போறோம்னு. சரினு கரடுமுரடு சாலையில் ஒரு மணி நேர பயணம். அப்புறம் ஒரு சினிமாவுல அடிக்கடி பூங்கொடி பூங்கொடின்னு ஒரு கிராமம்னு பிளாஷ்பேக் சொல்லும் அந்த கிராமத்தை உண்மையில் கண்டேன். ரென்டு எருமைமாடு நாலு ஆடு பிளஸ் அதன் வாரிசுகள் கண் லைட்டா தெரியிர ஒரு மேய்ப்பாளர் அவ்வள்வுதான். ஸ்டேஷன் மாஸ்டர் ஒடி வந்தார் கமலிடம் வாங்க சார் வாங்க சார்னு படபடத்தார்.

நான் சார் ஆல் ஒகேதான்னு கேட்ட போது ஸ்டேஷ்ன் மாஸ்டர் சார் ஒரு சின்ன பிரச்சினை அது என்னான்னா இது சிறப்பு ரயில் அதனால் இங்கிட்டு நிக்க வைக்க முடியாது பெர்மிஷன் இல்லை அதனால் இந்த பிளான் பனால்னு சொன்னார். எனக்கு தலை சுற்றியது. ஆனால் கமலோ அந்த ஸ்டேஷன் மாஸ்டர் வாக்கி டாக்கியை வாங்கி சார் வண்டியின் டிரைவருக்கு கனெக்ட் பன்னுங்கன்னு சொன்னாரு. அவரும் அதை செய்ய க்மல் அந்த டிரைன் டிரைவரிடம் சார் நான் கமல் ஹாசன் பேசுறேன் ஓவர்னு சொன்ன உடனே டிரைவர் சார் சொல்லுங்க் சார் எனக்கு தெரியும் சார் பிரச்சினை ஆனா நான் நிறுத்தினா என் வேலை போயிடும்னு சொல்ல கமலோ நீங்க நிறுத்த வேன்டாம் ஜஸ்ய் ஸ்லோ ப்ன்னுங்க நான் ரன்னிங்கிளே எறிக்கிறென்னு சொல்ல ஸ்டேஷன் மாடரும் சார் இது லோ பிளாட்ஃபார்ம் இதுல எப்படி நீங்கன்னு கேட்க கமல் கூறிய ஒரே வார்த்தை " என் ரசிகனை நான் ஏமாற்ற விரும்ப்வில்லை என்பதே" ரயில் 20 நிமடத்தில் வர கமல் அதுவரை கேஷுவலாய் ஒடிந்து போன சிமின்ட் பென்ச்சில் உட்கார்ந்து என்னுடன் பேச எனக்கு டரியல்தான். ரயில் மெதுவாக ஊர கமல் ரன்னிங்கில் ஏரினால் ஏ 1 கோச்சில் பின்னாடியே புட்ஃபொர்ட் அடித்து ஏறி ஒர் வழியாய் உள்ளே போனால் ஒரே ஆர்பரிப்பு ரயிலில் இருந்த ரசிகர்களிடம் எல்லோரிடமும் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது.

30 நிமடத்தில் திருச்சி வர விண்ணை பிளந்தது கரகோஷம் மற்றூம் தலைவனின் ரசிகர்களின் கதறல் அப்பா தமிழ் நாட்டில் மட்டுமே இது சாத்தியம் ஒரு நடிகனுக்காக மொத்த ரயில்வே ஷ்டேஷனும் அதை சுற்றி 5 கிலோமீட்டருக்கு ரசிகர்களின் கூட்டத்தால் உறைந்து போனது திருச்சி. பின்பு அவர் ஒவ்வொரு ஸ்டேஷன் வரும்போது கொஞ்சமும் அசராமல் வாசல் வரை வந்து வாசற்ப்படியில் நின்று அந்த ஒரு நிமட கையசைப்புக்காக என்ன ஒரு ஃபாலோவர்ஸ் என்பதை கன்டேன். அதுமட்டுமல்ல அவர் தின்டிவனம் வரை தான் வர முடிந்தது அதற்க்குள்ளே இரவு 11:45ஆக அவர் அந்த 5 மணி நேர ரயில் பிரயானத்தின் ஒவ்வொரு கடைசி ரசிகரையும் ரசிக்கும் வண்னம் பேசியது மற்றும் இடைவிடா நகைச்சுவை எனக்கு உணர்த்தியது இவர் தான் உண்மையான மனிதன் கமலின் வடிவில் என்று. வளர்ந்து வரும் அனைத்து நடிகர்களும் கற்றூ கொள்ல வேண்டிய சிம்பிலிசிட்டி. இன்னும் நிறைய பயனங்கள் கமலுடன் 1:1 அதை நேரம் கிடைக்கும் போதெல்லாம் எழுதுவேன் - கமலுக்கு பிறந்த நாள் வாழ்த்துக்கள் - கடவுள் அவரை எப்போதும் போல ஆசிர்வதிக்கட்டும்.

15 films to thank Kamal Haasan for on his birthday

Kamal Haasan has spent 53 years in the film industry and has won three National Awards, a Padma Shri and holds a Guinness World Record for essaying 10 roles in Dasavatharam.

As the actor-filmmaker-producer celebrates his 59th birthday today, here’s looking at his best works.

Vishwaroopam
The film was mired in a controversy over depiction of Muslims but it did not stop Vishwaroopam from winning BO success and critical acclaim.
Made in three languages, it had some of the best graphics ever seen in Indian cinema.

Dasavatharam
This ambitious project had Haasan essaying 10 different roles, for which he won Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actor. The multi-lingual film made in 2008 was a money spinner.

Virumaandi
Haasan acted, directed and wrote Virumaandi – his 2004 film based on the Rashomon effect. The movie won best film award at Puchon Fantastic International Film Festival.

Hey Ram
Also starring Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukherji, this bilingual film was based on India’s partition and Mahatma Gandhi’s assassination. The film went on to represent India at the Oscars in 2000.

Indian
This was Haasan’s take on the rampant corruption in India. His double role in the film fetched a National Award, a Filmfare Award and Tamil Nadu State Film Award in Best Actor category.

Pushpak
This 1998 silent black comedy won a lot of accolades. With king-for-a-day story premise, the film was a blockbuster.

Avvai Shanmughi
The multi-faceted actor featured in Avvai Shanmughi as a woman in 1996. Post the success of the Tamil film, it was remade as Chachi 420 in Hindi.

Nayagan
This 1987 film had Haasan playing Mumbai don Varadarajan Mudaliar. The actor won a National Award for his realistic portrayal. It was also included by the Time Magazine in its 100 best films list.

Saagar
In this 1985 hit, Haasan played a thwarted lover with gusto. He won the Filmfare best actor award for the movie and was also nominated in supporting actor category.

Geraftaar
This 1985 film had three biggest stars in India at that time – Rajnikanth, Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan. A masala potboiler, it earned R32 crore at the box office.

Sadma
A remake of the Tamil film with the same actors in the lead, this 1983 Hindi movie was highly appreciated for Haasan and Sridevi’s nuanced performances.

Moondram Pirai
Haasan went on to win a National Award for this 1982 film where he played a teacher taking care of a girl suffering from amnesia. Sridevi played the girl’s role.

Ek Duuje ke Liye
In 1981, Haasan made his Bollywood debut with this film which was a remake of his Telugu hit Maro Charithra. Story of two star-crossed lovers, it was a blockbuster.

Apoorva Raagangal
Haasan had a meaty role in this 1975 film, which challenged Indian social mores. Interestingly, the film also introduced superstar Rajinikanth.

Kanyakumari
The actor made his Malayalam debut in 1974 with Kanyakumari, story of a man who makes sculptures and falls in love with a girl who sells pearls on the sea shore.

Kalathur Kannamma
Haasan began his career at the age of six in 1960, working with the veteran actor Gemini Ganeshan. He received the President’s Gold Medal for his performance in the movie.

களத்தூர் கண்ணம்மாவில் கையெடுத்துக் கும்பிட்ட சிறுவனை இன்று இந்திய சினிமா வணங்குகிறது. விஸ்வரூபமாய் தொடரும் தலைமுறைகளை வென்ற தனி அவதாரம் கமல்.

முதல் படத்திலேயே (களத்தூர் கண்ணம்மா) சிறந்த குழந்தை நட்சத்திரத்துக்கான தேசிய விருதைப் பெற்றவர் கமல்!

வீட்டில் நிறைய நாய்களை வளர்க்கிறார். கொஞ்ச காலத்துக்கு முன்பு இறந்துபோன நாய்க்காகக் கண்ணீர்விட்ட தருணங்களும் உண்டு!

'ஹே ராம்' படம் முதல் டைரக்ஷனாக வெளிவந்தாலும், முன்னமே 'சங்கர்லால்'படத்தை, டி.என்.பாலு இறந்து போக, முக்கால்வாசிக்கு மேல் இயக்கியிருக்கிறார்!

கமல் மிகவும் ஆத்மார்த்தமாக நேசித்த மனிதர் மறைந்த அனந்து. தன்னை வேறு தளத்துக்கு அழைத்து வந்த நண்பர் என்ற அன்பு அவர் நெஞ்சு நிறைய உண்டு!

அதிஅற்புதமான உலக சினிமாக்களின் டி.வி.டி. அணிவகுப்பு கமலின் ஹோம் தியேட்டர் கலெக்ஷனில் இருக்கிறது!

ரஜினிக்குப் பிடித்த படமான 'முள்ளும் மலரும்' படம் வெளியாவதற்குக் காரணமாக இருந்தவரே கமல்தான்!

'உங்களது படங்களில் உங்களுக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்த படம் எது?' என்று கேட்டால், 'நான் நடிக்கப் போகும் எனது அடுத்த படம்' என்பார்.

கமல் மெட்ராஸ் பாஷை பேசிய 'சட்டம் என் கையில்', 'அபூர்வ சகோதரர்கள்'ஆகிய படங்கள் மெகா ஹிட். மெட்ராஸ் பாஷைக்கு கமலின் குரு லூஸ் மோகன்!

'சட்டம் என் கையில்' படம்தான் கமல் இரட்டை வேடங்களில் நடித்த முதல் படம் என்பது பலரும் சொல்லும் தகவல். ஆனால், அவர் 'பார்த்தால் பசி தீரும்'படத்திலேயே சின்ன வயதில் டபுள் ரோல் பண்ணியிருக்கிறார்!

ஊர்வன, பறப்பன, ஓடுவன என அனைத்தையும் சாப்பிடும் அசைவப் பிரியர் கமல். ஆக்டோபஸை எவ்வாறு பிடித்து, சமைத்துச் சாப்பிடுவது என்பதை நடித்தே காட்டுவாராம். அந்த நடிப்பிலேயே எதிரே உள்ளவர்கள் பசியாறி விடுவார்களாம்!

ஆஸ்கர் விருது பெற்ற 'டிராஃபிக்' படத்தை இயக்கிய ஹாலிவுட் இயக்குநர்ஸ்டீபன் சோடர்பெர்க்கைப் போன்று ஒரு ஸ்டெடிகேம் கேமராவை இடுப்பில் கட்டி, லென்ஸைத் தன்னை நோக்கித் திருப்பிக்கொண்டு 'சிங்கிள்மேன் யூனிட்'டாக ஒரு படத்தை இயக்கி நடிப்பது கமலின் நீண்ட நாள் ஆசை!

நடிகர் நாகேசுக்கும் கமலுக்குமான உறவு 'அப்பா-மகன்' உறவு போன்றது. தன்னை 'கமல்ஜி' என்று நாகேஷ் அழைக்கும்போது, 'எதுக்கு அந்த ஜி' என்ற கமலிடம், 'கமலுக்குள்ள ஒரு நாகேஷ் இருக்கலாம். ஆனால், நாகேசுக்குள்ள ஒரு கமல் இருக்க வாய்ப்பே இல்லை' என்பாராம் நாகேஷ்!

கமலுக்கு சினிமா சென்டிமென்ட்களில் துளியும் நம்பிக்கை கிடையாது. 'ஹே ராம்' படத்தின் முதல்வசனமே இப்படித்தான் இருக்கும்... 'சாகேத்ராம் திஸ் இஸ் பேக்-அப் டைம்'!

நல்ல மூடு இருந்தால், நண்பர்களிடம் தன் கவிதைகளை வாசித்துக் காட்டுவார். விரல் ஜாலங்களை, குரல் ஜாலங்களுடன் கேட்கக் கிடைத்தவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்.இருந்தும் ஏனோ, இன்னமும் தொகுப்புகளாக வெளியிடாமல் தாமதிக்கிறார் கமல்!

''சந்திக்கும் மனிதர்களின் பேச்சுக்களை, நடவடிக்கைகளை நகலெடுப்பது போல்கவனிக்கும் ஆற்றல் எனக்குத் தெரிந்து சிலருக்கே உண்டு. இந்த ஆற்றல்கைவரப்பெற்றவர்கள் வரிசையில் முக்கியமான இடம் கமலுக்கு உண்டு''என்கிறார் யூகி சேது!

'மர்மயோகி'யில் கமல் ஒரு அகோரி கேரக்டர் செய்வதாக இருந்தார். கொஞ்சகாலத்துக்கு முன்பு நீண்ட தாடி வளர்த்தது அதற்காகத்தான். 'சாமா சானம்' என்றுதொடங்கும் பாடல் ஒன்றைக்கூட இதற்காகத் தயார் செய்துவைத்திருந்தார்.'மர்மயோகி' டிராப் என்றவுடன் தாடியை எடுத்துவிட்டார்!

நன்றாகத் தமிழ் பேசும் ஹீரோயின்களை கமலுக்கு மிகப் பிடிக்கும். தமிழ்க் கதாநாயகிகள் அதிகம்வருவதில்லை என்ற வருத்தமும் அவருக்கு உண்டு. அதனால்தான் அபிராமியையும் சினேகாவையும்அழைத்துத் தன் படங்களில் வாய்ப்பு கொடுத்தார்!

'காலையில் எழுந்ததும் யார் முகத்தில் விழிக்க விருப்பம்?' என்று கமல் முன்பு நடத்திய 'மய்யம்'பத்திரிகையில் ஒரு கேள்வி கேட்கப்பட்டது. கமல் சொன்ன பதில், 'காட்டில் இருந்தால் நரி முகத்தில்,கட்டிலில் இருந்தால் ஸ்த்ரீ முகத்தில்'!

பாபர் மசூதி இடிப்பின்போது யதேச்சையாக டெல்லியில் இருந்தார் கமல். விஷயம் கேள்விப்பட்டதும் உடனடியாக அப்போதைய பிரதமர் நரசிம்மராவைச் சந்தித்து, தமிழ் திரையுலகம் சார்பாக எதிர்ப்பைப் பதிவு செய்தார். பாபர் மசூதி இடிப்புக்கு எதிராக சினிமா உலகில் இருந்து முதன்முதலில் எழுந்த எதிர்க்குரல் கமலுடையது!

முட்டையின் மஞ்சள் கருவை நீக்கிவிட்டு வெள்ளைக்கருவில் மிளகுப்பொடி தூவிச் சாப்பிடுவது கமலுக்குப் பிடித்தமானது. கூடவே பிளாக் டீ!

4 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு விஜய் டி.வி-யில் கமலின் பிறந்த நாளுக்காகப் புகழ்பெற்ற கவிஞர்களை அழைத்து ஒரு கவியரங்கம் நடத்தினார்கள். ஒரு நடிகரைப் பாட்டுடைத் தலைவனாக வைத்து நடத்தப்பட்ட முதல் கவியரங்கம் அதுதான்!

'ஆளவந்தான்' ரிலீஸின்போது, 'இனிமேல் 100 நாட்கள் எல்லாம் படம் ஓடாது. சினிமா பார்ப்பது வாழைப்பழம் சாப்பிடுவது மாதிரி. சாப்பிட வேண்டும் என்று ஆசைப்பட்டால் அருகில் உள்ள பெட்டிக் கடையில் வாழைப்பழம் கிடைக்க வேண்டும்' என்று சொல்லி, அதிக தியேட்டர்களில் ரிலீஸ் செய்யும் சிஸ்டத்தை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியவர்கமல்தான்!

'யாரையாவது டின்னருக்கு அழைக்க வேண்டும் என்றால் யாரை அழைப்பீர்கள்?'என்று ஒருமுறை கமலிடம் கேட்கப்பட்டபோது, 'காந்தியடிகளை டின்னருக்கு அழைத்து, ஆட்டுப் பாலும் நிலக்கடலையும் பரிமாற விருப்பம்' என்று பதில் சொன்னார்!

'நாகேஷ், தன்னுடைய திரையுலக காமெடி வாரிசை உருவாக்காமல் போய்விட்டார். அந்தத் தவறை நானும் செய்ய மாட்டேன்!' அண்மையில் திரைக்கதைப் பயிற்சிப் பட்டறை நடத்துவதற்கான காரணமாக நண்பர்களிடம் கமல் பகிர்ந்து கொண்டது இது!

சென்னை புறநகரில் ஒரு மல்டிப்ளெக்ஸ் கட்டுவதற்காக கமல் இடம்வாங்கிப்போட்டிருக்கிறார். அனைத்துவிதமான தொழில் நுட்பங்களுடன் கூடிய சினிமா தியேட்டர்களும், கேளிக்கை பூங்காக்களும், ரெஸ்டாரென்ட்டுகளும் அங்கு இருக்கும்!

தமிழ் சினிமாவை 'கோலிவுட்' என்று பலரும் சொன்னாலும் கமல் அந்த வார்த்தையை உச்சரிக்க மாட்டார். அப்படிச் சொல்லவேண்டாம் என மேடைகளிலும் சொல்லியிருக்கிறார். தமிழ்த் திரையுலகம் என்று அழுத்தி உச்சரிப்பதே அவரது ஸ்டைல்!

வீட்டில் நான்கு கார்களை வைத்திருக்கும் கமல்ஹாசன் புதிதாக ஹம்மர் ஹெச்2 என்னும் காரை 1.8 கோடி ரூபாய் விலையில் வாங்கியிருக்கிறார். இது ஸ்டாலின் வைத்திருக்கும் ஹம்மர் ஹெச்3 காரைவிட காஸ்ட்லி!

கமல் ஹாஸன்... ஒரு மகத்தான கலைஞனை வாழ்த்துவோம்!

கமல்ஹாஸன்... இந்தியத் திரையுலகின் ஒரு பெரிய அத்தியாயம் அவர். ஐந்து வயதில் தொடங்கிய அவரது திரைப் பயணத்துக்கு இன்று வயது 54. அவருக்கு வயது 59!

சினிமாவுக்கு வந்த ஆரம்ப கட்டத்தில் ஒரு நடிகராக மட்டும் அவர் இருக்கவில்லை. உதவி நடன இயக்குநராக, உதவி ஒளிப்பதிவாளராக, உதவி இயக்குநராக.. என அத்தனை துறையிலும் தலையிட்டு வேலை பார்த்திருக்கிறார்.

அப்போதெல்லாம் அவரை ஆர்வக் கோளாறு என்று கமெண்ட் அடித்தவர்கள் உண்டு. ஆனால் அதுவல்ல உண்மை. அவரது அதீத ஆர்வமே, அவரை அனைத்து வேலைகளையும் இழுத்துப் போட்டு செய்ய வைத்தது. அதுவே அவரை பின்னாளில் சிறந்த இயக்குநராக, சினிமாவின் அனைத்து நுட்பங்களையும் புரிந்த கலைஞராக மாற்றியது.

ஒரு முறை இயக்குநர் பாலச்சந்தர், 'கமல் எல்லா விஷயத்தையும் ஒற்றை ஆளாகச் செய்ய நினைக்கிறார். ஆனால் அது அவருக்கு நல்லதல்ல. ஒரு ஸ்பீட் பிரேக் வேணும்பா' என கமலை வைத்துக் கொண்டே மேடையில் சொன்னார்.

அதற்கு கமல் சொன்ன பதில், 'என்னால் இன்னும் எத்தனை ஆண்டுகள் சினிமாவில் பணியாற்ற முடியும் என யோசித்தால், வருகிற பயம்தான் என்னை வேகப்படுத்துகிறது. இருக்கிற இந்த கொஞ்ச நாளைக்குள் என்னால் முடிந்த அத்தனையையும் செய்துவிட வேண்டும் எனத் துடிக்கிறேன்,' என்றார்.

எத்தனை பொருள் பொதிந்த பதில்... ஒரு உண்மையான கலைஞனுக்கே உரிய துடிப்பு இது.

கமல் தன்னைத்தானே நொந்து கொள்வது இந்த ஒரு விஷயத்துக்காகத்தான் என்பது அவரது பல மேடைகளைப் பார்த்தவர்களுக்குப் புரியும்.

"முன்பெல்லாம் சினிமா வியாபாரம் சின்னதாக இருந்தது.. நிறைய படங்கள் பண்ணோம். இப்போது வியாபாரம் பெரிசாகி விட்டது. எங்கள் வயசும்தான். ஆனால் படங்கள் குறைந்துவிட்டன... அதை நினைத்தால் கவலையாகத்தான் உள்ளது," என்பார் அடிக்கடி.

அந்தக் கவலை இல்லாமல், இனி வரும் ஆண்டுகளில் உன்னதமான படைப்புகளைத் தர இந்த மாபெரும் கலைஞனுக்கு இயற்கை துணையிருக்க வாழ்த்துவோம்!
