Hello Friends,
Although I wrote to Shakthi encouraging him to gather himself on a personal shock, it has triggered a series of thoughts on my own recent loss of a friend to cancer. She was a wonderful humanbeing with lots of love and affection. As she stood as the pinnacle of friendship ( remember, even 10 years back, a boy talking to a girl with pure friendship in heart was taken in the society with jaundiced looks) and resisted all the elements of doubt in the relationships, I thought my outpourings are just emotional. Please join me in praying that her soul gets the peace.

Hello PP Madam,
Thanks for informing me about Shakthi. It just shows what my friend had proved years ago - that friendship does not have gender barriers..
The frustration was more for me as I did not even know that she was dead in UK quite some time ago and only when I searched her name in google I came to know of an obiturary message posted on the institute's website... Till then I had kept on wirting and chiding for her silence on my mails...
As you have written, time is the best healer...Let us see.

Note: this is about my friend in college...he was a wonderful person and a great
friend...he joined the army after college and was posted in Kashmir, where he shot and killed
at a very young age, not by an enemy but by his own friend...
