பழகிய பாதை

பொங்கலுக்கு இன்னும் மூன்று நாட்களே உள்ளது ஆனாலும் ஜல்லிக்கட்டு காளையாக அஜித்தின் 'வீரம்' இன்றே களமிறங்கிவிட்டது. விரம் சொல்லும் கதையும் அதன் வெற்றியின் சாத்தியத்தையும் பார்ப்போம்.

நான்கு தம்பிகளுக்காக எதையும் செய்யும் பாசமான அண்ணன் விநாயகம் (அஜித்குமார்) திருமணமாகாமல் 'தல' நரைத்தவர். அவருக்குத் திருமணமானால்தானே தம்பிகள் காதலிக்கும் பெண்களைக் கைப்பிடிக்க முடியும். அதற்கான திட்டத்தை வகுத்துக்கொடுக்கிறார் அவர்களின் சண்டை வழக்குகளைக் கவனிக்க கூடவே இருக்கும் பிச்சை (சந்தானம்). விநாயகத்தைக் காதல் வலையில் விழ வைப்பதுதான் அந்தத் திட்டம். அந்த வலையில் அவரோடு தள்ளிவிட ஒரு பெண்ணை தேடும்போதுதான் வந்து சேர்கிறார் கோவில் சிற்பங்களை அழகுபடுத்தும் கோப்பெருந்தேவி (தமன்னா). அடிதடியில் மட்டுமே தீர்த்து பேசும் விநாயகம், அஹிம்சைக் கொள்கையில் இருக்கும் நாசரின் மகள் கோப்பெருந்தேவியை எப்படி கைப்பிடித்தார் என்பது கதையின் மிச்சம். இவற்றிலிருந்து படத்தில் காதல் இருப்பதாக உங்களுக்கு தெரியும் ஆனால் படத்துக்கே ஏன் 'வீரம்' என்று தலைப்பு? .... தியேட்டர்ல போய் பாருங்க பாஸ்.

இதுவரை தம்பிக்கு துரோகம் செய்யும் அண்ணன் கதாபாத்திரத்தில்தான் அஜித் நம் மனதில் நின்றிருக்கிறார். முதல் முறையாக பாசமான அண்ணனாக அதுவும் கிராமத்து அண்ணனாகக் காட்டியதில் அவர் ரசிகர்களை இயக்குனர் சிவா வென்றிருக்கிறார். படம் முழுக்க முழுக்க அஜித்குமாரின் ரசிகர்களின் கொண்டாட்டத்திற்காக மட்டுமே. அதற்கான அத்தனை அம்சங்களும் படத்தில் இருக்கின்றன. அவரது வேட்டி சட்டை தோற்றம், சீறும் சண்டைக் காட்சிகள் என. ஆனால் அஜித் தமன்னாவுக்கு இடையேயான காதல் அவ்வளவு வலுவாகவில்லை. ரொமான்ஸ் காட்சிகள் இல்லையென்பது ஒரு பக்கம். இருவரும் பாடல்களில் மட்டுமே கிராமத்தில் இருந்து வெளிநாடுகளுக்குப் போய் டூயட் பாடுகிறார்கள். வசனங்கள் எல்லாம் தொழிலாளிகளின் நலன், உரிமை என்ற அளவில் வெளிப்படுகிறது. வசனங்களுக்கு விசிலடிக்கும் ரசிகர்கள் அவற்றை மனதில் ஏற்றிக்கொள்வார்களா என்பது கேள்விக்குறி.

அடிதடி செய்யும் நாயகன், நாயகியின் தந்தை அஹிம்சாவாதி, காதலை எதிர்ப்பார், கடைசியில் அவர்கள் குடும்பத்தை காப்பாற்றும்போது மட்டும் அந்த அடிதடி நியாயமாகிவிடுவதும் அஹிம்சை காற்றில் போய்விடுவதுமாக இந்த 'வீரம்' படத்தின் கதை வழக்கமானதுதான். படத்தின் சில காட்சிகளும் கூட முன்பு வந்த படங்களில் பார்த்தவையாக இருக்கின்றன. குறிப்பாக கடைசியில் வரும் சண்டையின் தொடக்கக் காட்சிகள் படிக்காதவன் (தனுஷ்) படத்தில் பார்த்தது போன்றே அமைந்திருக்கிறது. யூகிக்கக் கூடிய திரைக்கதை படத்தின் மற்றொருமைனஸ். பாடல்கள் அனைத்தும் வெளிநாடுகளில் படம்பிடிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. கிராமத்து கதையில் இப்படி ஃபாரின் போவதும் வழக்கமானதுதான். ஆனாலும் அவற்றில் கோட்டு சூட்டுடன் ஆடும் அஜித் அவ்வளவாக ரசிக்க வைக்கவில்லை. இதற்கிடையில் ரசிகர்களை அரங்கில் விசிலடிக்க வைப்பவை அஜித்தின் மாஸும் சந்தானத்தின் காமெடி பீஸும்தான். ஆனாலும் அஜித் ரசிகர்களுக்கு ஒரு வேண்டுகோளை இங்கே வைக்க வேண்டியதாயிருக்கிறது. அஜித்தின் மாஸ்க்காக மட்டுமே ஒரு படத்தை வரவேற்பது அந்த நேர கொண்டாட்டம்தான் என்றாலும் அது அஜித்தின் மாறுபட்ட முயற்சிகளையும் கதாபத்திரங்களையும் வர விடாமல் தடுத்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது என்பதை அவர்கள் உணர வேண்டும்.

அஜித் தன்னளவில் தன் ரசிகர்களை ஏமாற்றாமல் வீரத்தோடு மாஸ் காட்டுகிறார். ரசிகர்கள் மன்றத்தை அவர் கலைத்து விட்டிருந்தாலும் ரசிகர்கள் இன்னும் மன்றங்களாக இருந்துகொண்டுதான் இருக்கிறார்கள். அவர்கள் அஜித் கை தூக்கினாலும் கண் மூடித் திறந்தாலும் என்ன பண்ணிணாலும் கொண்டாடதான் போகிறார்கள், அஜித்தை எப்போதும் வரவேற்க தயாராக இருக்கும் ரசிகர்களுக்காக அவர் மாறுபட்ட கதைக்களத்தையும் கதாபாத்திரங்களையும் பரிசளித்து அஜித் என்பவர் நீங்கள் நினைப்பவன் மட்டுமல்ல அதற்கும் மேல் என்று ஒவ்வொரு படமும் சொல்ல வேண்டும். அப்போதுதான் அவருடைய தனிப்பட்ட ரசிகர்களோடு சேர்த்து பல தரப்பட்ட ரசிகர்களையும் தன் வசம் கொண்டு வர முடியும்.

தமன்னா படத்தில் ஒரு பகுதி மட்டுமாக இருந்தாலும் அழகாக வளம்வருகிறார். அதிகம் மெனக்கெடாத பாத்திரம் என்பதில் அவர் திறமை அவ்வளவாக வெளிப்படவில்லை என்று கூறலாம்.

நாசர் வழக்கம்போல தன் நடிப்பால் நிறைவு செய்கிறார். ஆனால் சண்டை சச்சரவுகள் பிடிக்காதவராகவும் தனக்கென்று ஆபத்து வரும்போது வன்முறையை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதுமாக அவரது பாத்திரம் குழப்பமாக இருக்கிறது. .

சந்தானம் இந்தப் படத்தில் பல புதிய நகைச்சுவை வசனங்கள் மூலம் சிரிக்க வைக்கிறார். ஆனாலும் வக்கீலாக வரும் அவர் அது சம்பந்தமாக ஒரு வேலையும் படத்தில் செய்யவில்லை. அதற்கு அவரையும் அஜித்தின் ஒரு தம்பியாக வைத்திருக்கலாமே. தம்பி ராமையா வரும் நகைச்சுவைகள் சுமார் ரகம்.

வில்லனாக வரும் இருவரும் பெரிய கவனம் பெறவில்லை. பிரதீப் ரவாத் பயமுறுத்தும் மீசையுடன் இருந்தாலும் டம்மி பீஸாக மாறிவிடுகிறார். அதுல் குல்கர்னியும் கடைசியில் மட்டுமே அஜித்தோடு மோதுகிறார்.

அஜித்தின் தம்பிகளாக வரும் விதார்த், பாலா, முனிஷ், சுஹைல் சந்தோக் மற்றும் ரமேஷ் கண்ணா, தேவதர்ஷினி அப்புக்குட்டி ஆகியோர் தங்கள் பாத்திரங்களை குறையில்லாமல் செய்திருக்கிறார்கள்.

இசையமைத்திருக்கும் தேவி ஸ்ரீபிரசாத் இரைச்சலில்லாத பின்னணியையும், அஜித்தின் மாஸ்க்கான பிஜிஎம்மையும் தந்திருப்பதோடு பாடல்களுக்கும் தன் வழக்கமான ராக் மியூசிக்கை தவிர்த்து மெல்லிய இசையை அமைத்து ரசிக்க வைக்கிறார், அலம்பலில்லாமல்.

வெற்றி தன் கேமராவின் மூலம் அஜித்தை வளைத்து வளைத்து வீரத்துடன் காட்டுவதற்காக மெனக்கெட்டிருக்கிறார். காசி விஸ்வநாதனின் எடிட்டிங் திரைக்கதைக்கு வலுவை சேர்த்திருக்கிறது. காட்சிகளும் வசனங்களும் தெளிவாக தடம் மாறாமல் சரியாக அமைந்திருக்கின்றன.

அஜித் ரசிகர்கள் கொண்டாடத்தக்கவையில் வந்திருக்கும் வீரம், மற்றவர்களை ஈர்ப்பதற்கான காரணங்கள் மிகக் குறைவாகவே இருக்கின்றன.

Punch dialogue ethuvumey munji suzlikira mari illa..... it was apt and neat.... very well done by siva.... chumma solla kudathu, though the story is very old, edthurka veetham, screenplay makes you engaged.... Big positives are Ajith, thamana, Santhanam, DSP Bgm , Dialogues and ofcourse Siva

All ...atleast most of my friends only go through FB recommendations here in US. Ofcourse we read reviews....but people have burnt their fingers enough times not to trust mvie reviews from sites like Sify or behindwoods especially for big star movies.

Case in Point ... I went to vishwaroopam and felt bored to death. Remember seeing some decent reviews for singam 2 and friends were cursing when they came out of theater(lucky that I didn't go).

For the most part in US, movie goers nowadays looks for scape goat friends to make recommendations.

Right from Chandrasekar shouting - Sentil Waving - Ramki/Nirosha Running, its a pure mastery of execution (and of coarse if you have watched the whole movie, you will at least cry out once - COME ON before the end). Then, the best part arrives with an EPIC BGM - VK along with Azhagu - watch these 2 stunt magicians perform some nail biting acrobatics. Film Students come back, please.

Pure power on display. 'Hair-thin-second' miss, "Thala" gone. Watch it to know what I mean, as at this point I cannot tell you more. This sequence will not only sweep you of your feet but will leave you wanting more.

Would like to share few dialogues but since it'll be kinda spoiler I'm refraining from posting it.

Most of the Vijay fans themselves liked this film.I had this experience in theatre after watching the film where Vijay fans were over praising Thala for this film.

Main problem I have with the movie is the lack of interaction with the "real" main villain and Ajith. Due to lack of build ups there were lack of payoffs.

Liked it.. first half is too good .. second half could have been better though there r no boring moments, dialogues are biggest plus so as Thala's dialogue delivery, what a change over in voice modulation from few years back Ajith :bow: A perfect commercial entertainer :thumbsup:

Accept that Veeram got Rakesh and Jilla got Vettri. For Jilla, not even 50% is full till now (if we exclude auto blocked red tickets, then around 30% is full till now). For Veeram it is like they are not having enough seats to meet the demand. Clearly shows WOM is taking its toll. Lets wait for next Friday to get some clear picture.

FYI, Albert already removed Jilla from its Baby Albert screen from coming Monday and replacing it with Biriyani and VidiyumMun.
