I got information from my admin network in Vijay The Legend that 90% chances are the film is still titled as Maalai Neram Mazhaithuli so don't beleive any other rumours of other titles. Vijay The Legend does not put up any information on the website unless it is properly confirmed. We got this information from source close to Ar Murgadoss.So 90 percent chances that when the information officially gets revealed it will be Maalai Neram Mazhaithuli.

It looks like Angelina Johnson the Kingfisher Calendar girl who was initially chosen as Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s heroine for his next film Maalai Nerathu Mazhaithuli to be directed by AR Murgadoss has been dropped.

The Kollywood grapevine is abuzz that the Bollywood beauty Sonam Kapoor has replaced her though there is nothing official about it.

The Bollywood buzz is that Sonam has confirmed the AR Murugadoss's action adventure, Maalai Nerathu Mazhaithuli.

Vijay during his live chat on sify.com had said- "Yes, as reported in sify.com, we had done a photoshoot with Angela, but due to some dates issue we had to look out for another heroine"

A Mumbai source reveals, "The producers were very keen to rope in Sonam as they felt she had the look to carry off the role. When they approached her with the script, she loved it and agreed to be part of the film".

It will be Sonam`s first Tamil film and she has got a dream debut of being cast opposite Vijay and being directed by Ghajini fame AR Murgadoss with camera by internationally reputed cinematographer Santosh Sivan.

Kajal can barely believe it. It can’t get bigger than this for the Punjabi lass! Yes, we’re talking about Kajal Agarwal, who’s got a prize catch —- Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay's next film directed by A.R. Murugadoss.

Though several names including Priyanka Chopra and Priya Anand were tossed around, the opportunity to romance Vijay on-screen has fallen into Kajal’s lap.

Sources say that the leggy lass, who’s on a high after her Bollywood debut hit Singham with Ajay Devgan, was on cloud nine after signing the film on Tuesday with mass hero Vijay.

She is the only lucky girl to sizzle with two K’town biggies simultaneously — Suriya in Maatran and Vijay in this untitled flick. Her Tollywood career is also looking up with two films — one with Mahesh Babu and another with her Magadheera costar Ram Charan Teja.

A source reveals that the movie, which is produced by Vijay’s dad S.A. Chandrashekar, is set in Mumbai and will be shot extensively in the business capital.
Reportedly it will go on the floors from December 1. Santhosh Sivan will handle the camera and Harris Jayaraj is expected to score the tracks.

After Mumbai tabloids went to town that Sonam Kapoor has jumped on to the bandwagon of Bollywood actors to dabble in films down South, here comes an announcement from director AR Murugadoss.

It’s official that Kajal Aggarwal is the lucky one to be Vijay’s heroine in Murugadoss directed next film, which will start rolling from December.

Now the latest buzzes are that Vijay wants to sign A.R. Rahman for music.

Vijay's ARM project changes hands!

Kollywood grapevine is abuzz that Vijay’s AR Murgadoss film which is to start in December had a change of producer.
The film which was to cost around Rs 60 Crore was to be produced by Vijay’s dad SAC, but latest news is that Kalaipuli S Dhanu has taken over as the producer.
The rumours making the rounds are AR Murgadoss wanted RS 12 Crore for the film, but SAC wanted him to reduce his price. Murgadoss struck to his guns and refused to reduce his salary.
The latest we hear is that leading producer Kalaipuli S Dhanu has stepped in agreed to fund the project.

Remember Vijay had earlier given a date to Dhanu for a film which was to be directed by Seeman ?
So it looks like AR Murgadoss will get his salary and the Vijay project will have a new producer.

இந்தப் படத்தில் ஏ ஆர் முருகதாஸுக்கு சம்பளமாக ரூ 12 கோடி பேசப்பட்டுள்ளதாக தகவல் வெளியாகியுள்ளது.

இந்தப் படத்தை ஆரம்பத்தில் எஸ்ஏ சந்திரசேகரனும் ஜெமினி பிலிம்ஸும் தயாரிக்கவிருந்தனர். அப்போதே ஏ ஆர் முருகதாஸ் சம்பளம் ரூ 12 கோடி என முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டதாம். ஆனால் பின்னர் இந்த சம்பளம் அதிகம் என்று தயாரிப்பு தரப்பில் யோசித்ததால், இழுபறி நீடித்துள்ளது.

இந்த நிலையில் படத்தின் தயாரிப்பு கலைப்புலி தாணுவுக்கு கைமாறியதால், முருகதாஸ் சம்பளத்துக்கு பிரச்சினை இல்லாமல் போனது. விஜய்க்கு எவ்வளவு சம்பளம் என்ற விவரம் வெளியாகவில்லை.

படத்தின் மொத்த பட்ஜெட் ரூ 65 கோடி என்கிறார்கள். விஜய் படத்துக்கு இவ்வளவு பெரிய பட்ஜெட் இதுவே முதல்முறை.

Parthy I wouldn't count his success in Bollywood. Reason behind Ghajini's success is Aamir khan. His performance, script discussion (enhancement) and promotion played the trick. I would relate this movie to Dasavatharam which is blockbuster not because of KSR. He too played a role but its minimal similar to ARM.

Shankar is way ahead of ARM. Once ARM faced a failure in Stalin (telugu movie) he didnt work on a new script. He started to remake Ghajini in Hindi to be on safer side. After Hindi Ghajini why did it took 3 years for him to start his next venture? He just want to bask in the glory.

இதற்கிடையில் தமிழ்தெலுங்கு ஆகிய இரண்டு மொழிகளிலும் ஒரேநேரத்தில் எடுக்க திட்டமிட்ட முருகதாஸுக்கு ஒரு சிறு பின்னடைவாம். தெலுங்கிலும் ‘ துப்பாக்கி என்ற தலைப்பிலேயே படத்தை வெளியிட விரும்பி, தெலுங்கு பிலிம் சேம்பரில் இந்த தலைப்பை பதிவு செய்யச் சென்றாராம்.
ஆனால் அங்கே பிரபல தயாரிப்பாளர் ’ஜிங்கா ஹரீஷ் பாபு’ என்பவர் இந்தத் டைட்டிலை ஏற்கனவே பதிவு செய்து, படத்தை தொடங்கும் நிலையில் இருகிறாராம். அது நக்*ஷலைட்டுகள் பற்றிய கதை என்பதால் துப்பாக்கி தலைப்பை தரமுடியாது என்று மறுத்து விட்டராம் ஹரீஷ் பாபு. இதனால் தற்போது தமிழில் மட்டும் படத்தை எடுத்து விட்டு, பிறகு தெலுங்கில் டப் செய்து கொள்ளலாம் என்ற முடிவுக்கு வந்திருகிறார்களாம்.

Leading producer Kalaipuli S Dhanu has confirmed that Thupakki will be the title of his next film with Ilayathalapathy Vijay, to be directed by AR Murgadoss.

The film will start rolling in Chennai from next week.
Dhanu said: “Thupakki is confirmed as the title in Tamil and it has tremendous title value and we have registered the title. The other details regarding the cast and crew will be announced officially early next week.”
The AR Murgadoss directed Thupakki will start rolling in Mumbai shortly . It has Vijay and Kajal Agarwal in the lead.
