After hearing all the songs multiple times in the last few days, i reckon, this should be one of VJ's best album. Stylish, peppy and melodious. Google Google is the pick of the lot and all the other songs are refreshing. Important album for the faltering HJ as well, especially after the recent disappointments of Mattran.

பாடுறது ஒண்ணும் புதுசில்லீங்கண்ணா... ஆனா பாடி ரொம் நாளாச்சு. முருகதாஸ் சார் திடீர்னு ஒரு நாள் கூப்பிட்டு இந்த பாட்ட நீங்கதான் பாடணும்னு சொல்லி அடுத்த நாளே மும்பைக்கு கூட்டிட்டுபோயி பாட வச்சிட்டார். மற்றபடி நான் பெரிய பாடகனெல்லாம் இல்லீங்கண்ணா நல்லா இருக்குதுன்னு சொன்னீங்கண்ணா திரும்பவும் பாடுவேன். இல்லேன்னா ரிஸ்க் எடுக்க மாட்டேன்.

* இந்தி பேசி நடிச்சிருக்கீங்களாமே?

மும்பையில வாழுற தமிழனா நடிச்சிருக்குறதால படத்தின் மும்பை போர்ஷன்ல இந்தி பேசுறேன். எனக்கு இந்தியெல்லாம் தெரியாது. இந்தி தெரிஞ்சவரை பக்கத்துல வச்சிக்கிட்டு பேசி நடிச்சிருக்கேன்.

Of late, Vijay's 'Thuppaki' is garnering much attention, courtesy the poster image where he carries Kajal Agarwal. It reminds one a similar poster of Richar Gere's English film. Now this has put a question in fans' mind whether 'Thuppaki' is based on that Hollywood film.

Clarifying on this, director AR Murugadoss said that it is not actually the case. Justifying about it in an interview, he said that 'Thuppaki' doesn't have an army backdrop like Gere's film; instead it is set in Mumbai. Besides that particular scene, everything in 'Thuppaki' is original, confirms Murugadoss.

Talking about Vijay's role in the film, Murugadoss further went saying that the actor features as a character who will be loved by all. He is quite spirited and energetic.

According to the filmmaker, it's been quite long to see such an energetic and handsome hero in our Tamil cinema. So unlike normal heroes, Murugados added, here in 'Thuppaki' Vijay is playing it very differently, by acting very bubbly, enthusiastic and excited. "Usually female leads in my films will play such energetic characters, but in this movie, Vijay has taken upon himself to play a lively and hyper character. I feel that this will be Vijay's best role so far in his career," remarked the director.

Kalla Thuppaki in trouble

Kalla Thuppaki, which waged a title war with Vijay starrer Thuppaki, was all set for a showdown with the movie this Deepavali.
But the Regional censor Board seems to have played spoilsport on its plans. Sources say that the Censor Board has denied certification for the movie stating that it has violent scenes.
Now the producers of Kalla Thuppaki are planning to approach the Revision Board in New Delhi and seek a certification.

Prasanth Nair, a neurologist from Dubai has got the opportunity to work with Illayathalapathy Vijay in Thuppakki. The doctor, who has previously worked on several ad films and also a Malayalam film. He has also confirmed that he will be playing the same role in the Hindi version of the film when it's made.
"I debuted in Lal Jose's Malayalam movie Diamond Necklace as a neurologist. I have a supporting role in Thuppakki with Vijay. Now I have been offered the same role in Hindi version of the movie by director AR Murgadoss in which Akshay Kumar will play the hero."
Prasanth is said to play a pivotal role in Thuppakki. We will have to wait and see what it is.

Thuppakki director A.R.Murugadoss has spoken very highly of his lead man Vijay's acting skills. According to the director, there is a brilliant actor that is residing within Vijay. This actor in Vijay hasn't been given the proper platform and scope to flourish till now in other films, Murugadoss feels.
Such words from the director ahead of Thuppakki's release on November 9th sure sends the hype meter soaring. Can we see Vijay, the brilliant actor too, in Thuppakki along with the showman Vijay?

ABOUT THuppakki FILMIt is an action thriller which will also have an equal dose of romance. As far as I am concerned, there are two kinds of films. The first is the one in which I want to convey a message to the audience. Then, there is the other kind which is an out-and-out entertainer. For instance, if you look at the story ofGhajini, there was nothing special about it. It was a simple revenge story but narrated in an interesting manner. Thuppakki is a film that falls in this category. The film will also have a comedy track throughout and my intention is to get audiences to see this film at least twice or thrice — in short, I am looking for repeat audiences.
THE FOCUSThe film will send out a warning and will draw attention to how oblivious we are to the dangerous circumstances we live in.
ON PLAGIARISMThere have been allegations that a poster of Thuppakki resembles the poster of the famous English film, An Officer and a Gentleman. “I admit my film’s stills resemble the English film’s poster. Sometimes, you admire something so much that sub-consciously it becomes a part of your work.”
THE SPARK BEHIND THUPPAKKIWhen our celebrities are detained at airports abroad, we are outraged. In my opinion, nobody is above the law.
Why haven’t we learnt lessons from governments of certain countries? The Indian Government should enforce rules stringently. This set me thinking.
REMUNERATION ISSUES.A. Chandrasekhar, during the audio launch of the film, had disclosed that Murugadoss had demanded a huge sum for directing the film.
Does he think it is right on the part of the directors to demand such huge sums at a time when the film industry is going through a difficult phase?
“If I am approached by three producers to make films for them, it is only natural that I will opt for the one offering me the best deal. It is not just in films, it is the case everywhere. Had I demanded a sum that was unfair, I would not have ended up making this film. It is only because, it was fair that he agreed.”

Oneindia : Thuppakki trailer gets massive response

The latest trailer of Thuppakki has added fuel to the growing expectations of the audience. The video-clip has got a massive response from TV audiences as well as netizens.

It was released on October 26 after going through some YouTube link issues on internet. The trailer was first released in the morning and when it started going viral, the makers of the film removed the link from YouTube.

Later, they released it on their official page. However, those issues did not bother the fans of Vijay, as it fetched 606,010 hits on YouTube and over 7,000 likes in just three days. It is said to be the highest-response getting trailer in the recent times

Cinemalead.com:It was a surprise for many when ace cinematographer Santhosh Sivan agreed to be a part of a non- Mani Ratnam film, yes we are talking about Thuppakki. Vijay in an recent interview revealed that when Vijay asked the same question to Santhosh Sivan , he said that though he was not interested initially, after listening to the climax of AR Murugudoss' script he decided to join. Apparently the world famous cinematographer was bowled over by the climax which is having a strong message and has readily agreed to work on the film.

Big Premiere For Thuppakki

Everyone in Tinsel Town knows that Vijay is a BIG Tamil star. In fact, it is said that he’s like the Salman Khan of the Tamil film industry. Also, there’s been news that many Hindi filmmakers have approached him to make his debut in Bollywood. His next film Thuppakki is expected to release next week and a Mumbai premiere has been planned.
Thrilled by this news, his fan club in Mumbai has decided to give him a grand welcome. Whenever Vijay’s film releases in Tamil Nadu, it’s festival time for his fans, who celebrate the first day on a grand scale. Now we’ll be witnessing this phenomenon in Mumbai too.

As we all know, YOHAN project dropped as its wasn't accepted by Ilayathalapathy which is now hand over to actor Mahesh. When we focused on the reason why Ilayathalapathy rejected the story, we found the conversation between thalapathy and GVM.

According to sources close to Thalapathy, when Gautham was narrating story to Thalapathy, there were many moments of depiction on scenes which restricts family audience and even the story has a mixture of adultery content. Vijay explained that his majority audience who watches his movies are family audience and such movies seems to be inappropriate for him to act. Despite the fact that the movie has full tendency to bring up a Vijay in stylish western avatar also a boosting scope of action, the actor withdraw by ending with a statement saying that he never acted for awards, but for his fans.
