As we know, the threads with unread posts by an user show in bold when one visits the forum (thus alerting the person to look at those threads for updates).
This seems to look only at the ip address of the person and not the user id.
For e.g., I visited the hub this morning from home machine and viewed a number of threads, even posting in one.
Later, when I visited the hub after getting into the work VPN, I get the same threads "bolded", even the one that had the last post by my ID :-)
i.e. thread in which the last post is by app_engine, shows up as an "unread" thread to app_engine himself...
