I own "Shivaji" Blu-ray, got it online from Ayngaran Online Store.
Excellent copy : 10 on 10 for A/V.
There are other Blu-rays, but I did not get them. Waiting for Endiran.
Heard that Ayan is good (I mean on Blu-ray :))

I saw few when I was in bangalore forum (land mark) .
Few MGRs and Few Gemini's and I even saw couple of shivaji movies in VCD format. Problem when these VCDs
is they don't play here :-( some regional code stuff..

I wasted lotz of mani ! by buying like 30 Vcds , some of them don't even play on my laptop.

I too own a VCD copy of classic films, but they are VHS to VCD ! I wish they are re-mastered.
For the problem with the regional code: Get a Region Free Player !
For your Laptop : If the VCD is not recognised or It does not play, there are 80% chances that the disk not fonctional. If you feel its fine, its better to get a player (like VLC) and also the codecs necessary ... Google search could help ;)

aayirathil oruvan - I didn't like this movie in theatre. Kinda liked the story line now (great one) on DVD wish excecution was little more crisp and clean.

You don't have to zoom to see the facial features (Right to the last wrinkle) in bluray display.. Above two images are from Bluray rips (several times step down from the original hi-hi-def image)

I meant some of these scenes were too fast / too big to watch on big screen we didn't notice include his skin tone
But in blu ray , those scenes are tacky to watch, some costumes were out of place, turtle necks in some places gives away his age big time :-(

Best part of the movie for me was machu pichu" superb colors it has come out really good.

You pl try to watch it on Blu ray :rant: make up man really did very bad job in most of the places.

I expected this on Blu-Ray, as it was quite evident on DVD. Even there were few "goofs" in many scences esp., with the special effects !
But wonderful Disk / Movie / Thalaivar / Songs / Actionnnuuuu ...
