RR

The Hub is now accessible via a mobile app supported on iPhone,Android, and Windows/Nokia phones. If you want to browse the hub on your mobile (or have been using mobile browser so far), you'll like this. No more more inconvenient scrolling up/across on small screens or waiting for page loads. This app has a native interface, and will make your hubbing more convenient and productive.
The app, called Tapatalk, is a popular and highly rated one. It is right now FREE for iOS, Android and Windows phones.
iOS download: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/tapatalk-community-reader/id307880732?mt=8
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quoord.tapatalkpro.activity
Windows phone: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/app/tapatalk/913ffd61-3ba0-435c-a894-9d3ec7e78d6e
Follow these instructions after you download:
* Once you start the app, search for 'The hub' and then scroll down to see "The Hub" logo and link.
* Click the link to browse the hub forums
* If you want to post, you need to 'Sign in' first. For this, skip the Facebook login and go to 'Use other email'. You can login using your hub id & password.
* Then you can access 'Timeline', 'Subscribed', or 'All' to view the latest discussions.
* You can also explore the individual forums via Forums.
* You can posts photos taken via camera, receive notifications of new posts, pm's too (which is not possible just using mobile browser). So this app will give you a complete experience.. Highly recommended!

Quick review of iPhone App
* Starting the app was a breeze. Remembers your login, etc.
* Very easy to check out the latest posts. The list shows the title of the topic along with first few lines of the last post. So you can get a quick glimpse with no clicking!
* Same is possible for threads where posted
* Jumping to read the last post in full, posting are all quick and fast.
* I liked the forum frontpage better in TouchBB app, but that was only good feature. Tapatalk beats it hands down in all other areas.
Worth every cent. Highly recommended.

I am using this app right now. Very user friendly and easy to use. Guess I will use this even if I am next to a PC. :)
And Tamil fonts are also working on iPhone. It looks great!

With Opera Mini browser, now you can read Indian language content on mobile phones which don't have built in unicode fonts. For this we need to turn on the bitmap fonts in 'opera mini',
1. Type 'about:config' in mini address bar. This opens configuration settings.
2. There is a option for use bitmap fonts. Change that to Yes.
This worked for android phone.

The no of Tapatalk users has gone beyond 500 now!
For those still hubbing with the web browsers (on mobile), have installed a mobile style. With this, the forums/posts will be much easier on the eyes, compared to the 'heavy-duty' full site. Let us know if you like it.
