2/5 seems just about right after seeing the trailer only. I dunno why they intend on making masala movies last 2hrs 45 mins!!

saw the film, was impressed with jiiva's work...director failed with solid screen play...songs were okay...santhanams jokes were a little too vulgar....overall the film is watchable once

Yea.. I meant, same song used. I know both from same MD, but while doing the remake (Okadu), though the original songs were all awesome, none were used and gave a completely new look to the movie (including story, importantly screenplay, etc) :cool:.

Yes Paramashivan. I saw it yesterday. It was good. Nothing much to discuss about the movie except for Jeeva's good performance (as usual) and Santhanam's comedy at some moments.

Moreover the screenplay of ghilli will be better than okadu. Athula prakashraj amma bomb la seivanga nu kelvi, heard ghilli was far better than okadu :P

I have seen Okadu, so I know the difference. Okadu is a boring movie IMO, no comedy (dad says son (MB) to go practice Kabadi, no thirutu thanamaana playing the game). Screenplay is very slow, one thing that should be appreciated is, they had built a duplicate 'Charminar' (for Light house in tamil), the director does like this as he did built the set of 'Madurai Meenakshi amman temple' in a movie if I am not wrong.

i saw okkadu first... so ghilli pakkarappo avlo thrillingaa illa...okkadu had little to no comedy and ghilli had a better tempo... but i like both...

guna(director) does go a bit overboard with the sets ... okkadu la charminar and arjun had that meenakshiamman temple set..

Seen this movie on saturday. Jeeva should take more care choosing commercial stories. Not impressed much. Mokkai. Too much double meaning dialogues from santhaanam. Vivek main reason for downfall double meaning dialogues and santhaanam exactly following the same route. Very dramatic. jeeva scores well but how long will he carry the film.
