Okay, I'd like to hear your views & thoughts...
I think many of you (if not most of you) here have worked both in India, as well as outside of India... I'd like to hear your opinions - what are the differences in "work culture" between India and other places?
Please list positives as well as negatives... i.e. what aspects/practices of working in India would you like to see adopted elsewhere, and what from elsewhere would you like to see being adopted in India?
And also, even within India, what variations are there in different parts of the country? Within different parts of the same state?
As I said. please list positives as well as negatives...

Why is this of interest to you or why do you think it will be of interest to others and which others?

It's of interest to me because I would like to work in India at some point in the not-too-distant future. Although I'm originally from India myself, I presently live and work in the UK, and I haven't had any first-hand experience of working in an Indian workplace. I have visited India numerous times - I even lived in India for a few years during my childhood, but for most of my life, I have lived outside of India. I have heard that working in India is, in many ways, far more demanding and challenging than working anywhere else in the world. I think some people feel this way primarily because it's a far more competitive work environment than anywhere else. I'd like to know a little more. I'd like to hear your thoughts on that...
And here's a few articles I came across on the internet:

I read a few months back in a community newspaper that the labour market of India and its future "power house", rest with and is linked to its "Diaspora".
Something similar here.
