Bollywood girl Hansika Motwani has been learning a lot from her senior colleague Manisha Koirala on the sets of the Tamil movie ‘Mappillai’, which has Dhanush in the lead role.

“It’s going to be a rewarding experience that I would cherish for the rest of my life. Such is the cooperation I receive from my costars in the film, especially Manisha,” says Hansika, who is excited about stepping into Kollywood.

“Sharing screen space with Manisha has been amazing,” the young actress says and adds: “She is so calm and composed. She makes everyone around her feel comfortable. And Manisha makes acting look so simple and easy.”

Meanwhile, Hansika has been roped into enact the role Madhuri Dixit played in the 1990s blockbuster ‘Jamai Raja’. “It is an honour to play a role portrayed beautifully by Madhuri. I always admire her a lot and I am extremely proud and happy to be a part of the film.”

Hansika debuts her YouTube channel
YouTube stardom is a new phenomenon in India. But not many celebrities from the film industry have personalised channels, especially down south. Perhaps, top actress Hansika Motwani is establishing a trend by setting up her own YouTube channel now!
Speaking to DC from Mumbai, the OK OK girl said, “I have been always active on online platforms, be it Twitter or YouTube. I used to subscribe to many channels and watch what others were doing. Then came the idea of having my own channel where I can connect to fans more personally!”

So, what can we expect out of it? “Since I handle it directly, I discussed it with YouTube, who also gave me suggestions. I will be interacting with my fans, and people are going to know more about me! There’s a lot of hard work put in by many behind the scenes, which goes unnoticed. I want to bring them to the forefront. I also want to share new announcements and interesting incidents as and when the necessity arises,” she grins.

Taking the first step in this novel initiative, Hansika will be unleashing the first look of her upcoming film Bhogan with Jayam Ravi on her channel. She quickly adds, “It’s not that I am going to upload videos every other day. But surely, I will be in touch with my fans quite often.” The actress, who also touched the one million mark on Instagram, proudly adds that it is the first ‘verified’ Instagram account among south celebs.
