[/B]Varalaru la niraya kuppais irunthaalum..........obvious graphics thappu irunthaalum (KSR movies Muthu, Varalaru etc., always had worst graphics except when he joins with Kamal) antha one scene where Appa Ajith's first duel with villain Ajith.......... chanceh illatha style and asathal.......that combined with villain Ajith's acting and ARR's bgm (especially during first half when the baddie Ajith sets out to kill his father and during father Ajith's marriage scene) more than makes up for other ottais and kuppais.........

Yes Aasal was Ok.. silly story but the Screenplay was tight and never felt it dragged at any point.. The main spoiler in Asal was the songs and its choreography, It made a mockery of him. :banghead:

Vishnu yellam vendam... Shankar and GVM kuda thala work pana maataru.. Coz he works with directors with whom he feels comfortable. tats y half of the time he works with new buds or with his jalras (saran, vishnu, vp) . Thala shld change tat and try to rope in vetrimaran , vijay etc or at least new bees like how he selected Vijay for kreedom.. hope thala comes out of his friends network and gives us a quality film. The last appreciable effort taken by him was selecting Kreedom imo. :)

Ajith turning vigilante for Shankar's Indian sequel


Ajith Kumar, as he himself claimed, was seen in a worst ever character of his life in Mankatha. The actor, who did an out and out negative role in the recently released movie, seems to be gearing up to play a contrasting character, as he is reportedly taking up the portrayal of a vigilante.

Speculations are rife that Shankar and Ajith Kumar are joining hands for the first time. The interesting part of the story is that they are teaming up for Indian sequel, which means Thala will be donning the character of a law breaker for the welfare of the common man.

Recently, Shankar said that AM Rathnam has been telling him to do a sequel to 1996s blockbuster Indian. On the other end, the producer announced that his next project will be with Ajith Kumar. Their statements on their future plans have paved way that the Endhiran director and Asal star would team up for the second instalment of the Tamil film.

Indian is about an old-aged man named Senapathy, who uproots the corruption. He kills the people, who are all involved in it, including his son. In the end, he leaves the country and sends message that he would be back, when the situation demands

Ajith’s new career option?

There is a rumor doing rounds that Ajith may dub for Pawan Kalyan. Pawan Kalyan starrer Panjaa is to be dubbed in Tamil and Ajith may lend his voice for the Power Star it is being said.

Rumormongers are going further to elaborate that since Panjaa is being directed by Vishnuvardhan with whom Ajith shares a very good rapport, he has decided to lend his voice.

With Ajith being a mega star, it is uncertain how true this news is. Since there is no confirmation on this either from the star or from the director, we need to wait and see if this is really true.

However during the shoot of an action scene where he was supposed to smash a bottle on a stuntman, it broke into pieces in his hands.

Among the many 'punch' dialogues that Tamil film, Mankatha is loaded with, there's one - Naanum yevalo naala daan nallavanave nadikarathu (How long can I also act like a good man?) - that particularly seems like it comes, pun completely intended. From a star point of view, Mankatha is a celebration of sorts. It is Kollywood actor Ajith Kumar's film number 50. The bond between Ajith and filmmaker Vishnuvardhan is common knowledge.

Ever since the duo joined hands for the blockbuster movie Billa, the two have shared a close rapport.

Though Vishnu was unable to do the prequel Billa 2 due to his prior Tollywood commitments, they still catch up whenever they find the time.

The latest reports doing the rounds are about Ajith dubbing for Tollywood star Pawan Kalyan in the Tamil-dubbed version of Vishnu’s coming Telugu flick Panja.

The movie, which is set to hit cinema halls in December, also features Sarah Jane Dias, (who was one of the three heroines in Vishal’s Theeradha Vilayattu Pillai) and Anjali Lavanya as the female leads.

Buzz is that when Vishnu approached Ajith and asked him to dub for Pawan, the latter immediately agreed.

However, when Ajith, who is shooting in Goa for Billa 2was contacted by DC, he denied the reports. “It’s news to me! These are baseless rumours,” the Mankatha star said.

Thala Ajith Kumar has now completed shooting for the second schedule of ‘Billa-2’ in Goa. The shooting was held there for 23 days and it was more off tough sequences shot. Now the entire crew has flown back to Chennai, where they will have a small break.
Soon they will be flying down to Georgia located in European continent, where a breathtaking stunt sequence between Ajith Kumar and baddies will be shot there. It seems that Chakri wants to shoot the action sequences amidst of snow storms.

Ajith has no starry airs about him.

He is undoubtedly among the top five stars in Kollywood and can afford to throw his weight around.

Still the guy is humble and behaves like an ordinary man.

Early Monday (Nov 21) morning, the star was off to Eastern Europe for the third schedule of his Chakri Toleti directed Billa 2. He was in Chennai airport to take a connecting flight via Dubai.

Ajith after checking in his baggage at the airline counter went for the security check-up and joined the mile long queue. The airport officials on seeing Thala went up to him and offered to take him straight to the security hold.

Ajith, smiled and politely refused to jump the line and waited for nearly 30 minutes along with other passengers. Please note lessor known stars and politicians with their clout with the airport police would have walked through security and boarded the flight.

Remember that Ajith never jumps the line and prefers to stand behind serpentine queues to cast his vote, unlike other stars. Thala is truly a role model as a gentleman citizen, and has constantly refused to cash in on his stardom.

Ajith and Siruthai fame director Shiva are coming together in an untitled film to be produced by Vijaya Productions.

The film will be a fitting tribute to the doyen of film production insouth B.Nagi Reddy the founder of Vijaya Productions on his birth centenary year.
Ajith and Shiva are said to be making a commercially viable action packed entertainer. The film will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and camera is by Vetri. The rest of cast and crew will be announced shortly.
As of now, it will have a working title “Production 4″ and is produced by B Bharathi Reddy and presented by B Venkatarama Reddy.

The movie is slated to go on floors by mid-2012 .

Sure there will be a time when GVM,ARM will be working with Ajith. But seeing the track record of Ajith.. he constantly experiments.. doesnt bother whether previous film is flop are not... and he has immense self confidence... he constantly prove us wrong..he gives hits with unexpected directors.. and his film are hits only for him.. glamorous/comedy are secondary.. even heroines for that matter..
intha mathiri oru manushan kooda work panrathuku directors should be gifted.. thaan undu than velai undu nu irukira manushana chumma nondrathe intha GVM ku velaiya pochu..

After Billa, the Vishnuvardhan and Ajith combination is back on track to weave magic onscreen once again.

There are many rumours surrounding the Vishnuvardhan film. Some reports say that along with Ajith, Vishnu's brother Krishna is playing a vital role in the film.

Amala Paul, Anushka and Ileana were reportedly approached to play the lead role. Vishnuvardhan opens up on his film's status.

"I am undoubtedly directing Ajith's next flick," he says, adding, "Yes, we are back now. I am overwhelmed to work with Ajith again. I am currently working on the script.

After the action films we have done, Ajith and I have decided to work on an entertaining script rather than on any particular genre.

It is too early to talk about the star cast. Other than Ajith, nobody else has been confirmed yet." Vishnuvardhan was ready with a fresh script for Billa 2 but dropped the project later.

Was he going to be re-working the same script? "No, this is a different story. Talks were on for working with Ajith last year itself. I was just sorting out the exact script for Thala," he clarifies.

Have the issues regarding Billa 2 been sorted out? "There were no issues at all. I am glad to work with Ajith again." Asked when the film would start shooting, he says, "The shooting begins in March and I am looking forward to a great time with Ajith on the sets."

Lingusamy’s Vettai too has a similar scene. Ajith fans were very happy when the Mankatha introduction scene was shown in the film, with Arya character watching it in a local theatre.

The scene clearly indicates the popularity of Ajith. Many years back many actors had included MGR scenes in their films.

Later in the 90’s and early 2000 directors had upcoming actors paying glowing tributes to Rajinikanth.

Arya to team up with Ajith?

Arya has been riding high after the fantastic opening of Vettai. He has been working with director Selvaraghavan for Irandam Ulagam opposite Anushka and the first schedule is complete in Ramoji Film city, Hyderabad.

Apparently rumours are rife that the actor has been signed up to play a parallel role in his mentor Vishnuvardhan’s new film with Ajith.

The film is produced by AM Ratnam under his Sri Surya Movies and is supposed to go on floors by end of February.

The dialogue writers of the film are said to be Suba, who did the recent hit Ko.

Speculation is rife in the media about the other character signed up for the movie with some media reports claiming Vishnuvardhan’s brother Krishna is the front runner.

But now Arya has emerged as the favourite, which will truly make it a multi-starrer.

But sources close to Arya deny it and say that Vishnu had given him a narrative and he was very excited about doing a film with Thala.

However, the actor has given continuous bulk date to Selvaraghavan for Irandam Ulagam and will not be in a position to dole out dates for the Ajith project.

hmm...rumour mongers....even if it is a guest role played by thala I want to see a performance oriented role by thala...Asoka is one of my personal favorites in terms of performance by thala....I can't imagine any other actor playing that role....one of the memorable roles, I would say....it would have been great had SRK given some more footage to thala (though SRK has told that he had extended Ajith's guest role)

Lingusamy’s Vettai too has a similar scene. Ajith fans were very happy when the Mankatha introduction scene was shown in the film, with Arya character watching it in a local theatre.

The scene clearly indicates the popularity of Ajith. Many years back many actors had included MGR scenes in their films.

Later in the 90’s and early 2000 directors had upcoming actors paying glowing tributes to Rajinikanth.

Saroj Kumar`s Facebook status read: "If anyone criticizes actor Vijay, I just don`t accept it. But if anybody dares to criticize "Thala" AjithKumar, I offend them, I oppose them, I can go to any extent because Ajith is a man. A man of honesty, a man with simplicity, a man with guts, a man with responsibility, a man who came up on his own belief and hard work."

The director elaborates: "Ajith is a star who made his own unique place in the hearts of Tamil audience. So stop the nonsense, he stands as an idol for all aspiring actors. Looking at the filmography of Ajith, I realised that I had been following his movies with interest, until he became "thala" :sigh2:
