Even Sachin plays that would be purely for the team and i dont think he would be even 10 %fit. He has stiches in right hand and i believe he coud not move the left hand also properly.

With this Disadvantage CSK has upper hand.

Sachin Tendulkar, the Mumbai Indians captain, has said the IPL franchises should be allowed to hold on to a certain number of players from their existing squads as the league prepares for a reshuffle at the end of the 2010 season, when existing player contracts expire. Next year the IPL will have two new franchises - Pune and Kochi - and a fresh auction but Tendulkar wanted teams to be able to retain at least eight players.

"About retaining players, my personal thoughts are that we should be allowed to retain four India players and four foreign players," Tendulkar told the Indian news channel Times Now. "As for domestic players, it should be up to the franchisees. I feel it's a tough call because all teams have made huge efforts in building a good side.

"It's not an overnight result. For three years everyone has been working on what's the best combination. Even a player's identity is important. We have to look into these things and then have some changes. I hope there are not too many changes."

For a player who opted not to represent India in Twenty20 internationals in 2007, Tendulkar has appeared to have mastered the art of batting in the shortest format, as his statisticsthis IPL indicate. His batting has been a sensation this season but his captaincy has also drawn plaudits. Tendulkar captained India twice unsuccessfully, but he said he did not have a point to prove to critics as Mumbai prepared to contest their first IPL final.

"It's a big stage but it's not about proving a point to someone that I can manage captaincy. I have never played for that," he said. So, its gonna be Mumbai v CSK in the Finals... I would like to make a few points which I hope the members would adhere to...

Members who support CSK are requested to please stay away from the match thread when the match is going on...

The reasons are as under (plain common sense but nonetheless required to be written for some members here):

1. This is Sachin Tendulkar's community and Sachin Tendulkar is the captain of the Mumbai INDIANS..

2. Sachin Tendulkar would not like Mumbai INDIANS to lose..

3. He would be unhappy if it does eventually lose coz He has worked a hell lot to enable Mumbai to reach until here...

4. Its an insult to the majority of the members here and many amongst them who are from different states but still want Mumbai to win just because of Sachin... Makes a hell of a lot of sense :clap:.

5. Its highly irritating when Mumbai doesnt do well for a part of the game (eg Mumbai scoring 25-30 runs in 5-6 overs or losing quick wickets) and some "Sachin fans" come and say "Go CSK go".. The majority obviously would pounce on that few and a needless war of words would ensue..

6. Lastly, its indigestible for me as to how some people here call Sachin as God and want His team to lose... Indirectly, they are praying that Sachin fails... Coz if Sachin gets going, its their team who is gonna lose for sure... So, its a sincere request from me and all other mods to all CSK fans to refrain from posting in the match thread to avoid needless controversies and war of words... There will b a comm of CSK or MSD to support CSK..

Members will b banned if they dont follow this...

Pollard has scored 98 runs of 33 balls in the last 3 or so matches. S/R of 296.97. And he has grabbed MOM in 2 matches recently. And his bowling and ground fielding has been very effective. It's safe to say that he has played his part in IPL for MI. I only hope he continues the good work tomorrow.

W/o sachin I think the best bet is to go with Jayasurya with the frame of mind that any run more than double digit is a huge bonus with a very good strike rate. If he clicks it is a big bonus and I am not sure whether CSK will expect him in the line up.

Zak, Malinga and Bhajji have been great and nothing less than spectacular this season. They are the top wicket takers for MI and in top 10 of IPL this season. Kudos to Malinga especially as the other day sourav had highlighted that he has 17 clean bold victims in all IPL's.

Rayudu and Tiwary have been great for MI. As youngsters they have stepped up in the podium and anchored the team during tough situations. The good thing is they were never afraid to play the big shots especially thambi tiwary :cool2:.

We have been dropping one or two odd catches in this season. So far nothing had proved costly thanks to one guy backing up the other either in terms of batting or bowling or fielding. Now thats good team effort.

In short, My dream of sachin playing in a good team has been somewhat achieved. We missed Malinga in season 1 and Bhajji for 10 matches for his slap ban and Thalaivar for 7 matches in Season 1. Season 2 was more disastrous with a worst team. Bowling/fielding is our strong point and hope we bat tomorrow and put up a good score and try to win the game.

Sachin, Take care of yourself. You are more than IPL or world cup or anything else.

there is no doubt in my mind that MI was the best team in the tournament...........the gap that they left behind with other teams was huge and thanks mainly to sachin tendulkar who planned and designed this beautiful team and its combinations over a year.......Sachin, the captain, was spot on while picking promising players like Dhawan, Rayudu, Sathish, Tiwary and utility international players like Mclaren, Pollard.........his usage of Harbhajan, who is good at containing only, at the intial overs was another masterstroke.......im sure, this IPL was Dilhara's finest performances of his life, again a feather in sachin's cap............

Sachin, the captain and also the best batsman in the world, showed the world how T20 batting can still be like a soft ballad rather than bang bang stuff.........the way he used angles, small boundaries, pace of bowlers, reading the bowlers and all these with a beautiful balance of head, bat and body - is a new trend set in T20 history.......we can clearly claim that he has successfully buried the weight of captaincy while batting nowadays.....

Sachin, the captain, came out strapped heavily giving us a image of blood dripping wounded warriors of hollywood war flicks.........his spirit and dedication to the game was taken to a altogether different level........his mere presence in the field and batting with that swollen face due to pain, is the triumph of human will power over pain, fear, insecurity, apprehensions......

Sachin, the captain, can walk away from IPL2010 with head held high - these are the incidents where cricket intertwines with human spirit and chokes you for words.....truly, Sachin Tendulkar, the name itself has long become a adjective as opposed to be a noun :bow:
