Who is a true Ilayaraaja Fan?

Ilayaraaja is a genius in music and there is no match for him. These days i am irked by the actions of some of his fans. The way they scold modern day music directors makes me think if they are true fans of Ilayaraaja. IR himself says music these is popcorn and what not. I too accept that fact. By degrading modern day MD's what are we achieving

I see a lot of hatred and falsehood.. Some say i dont listen to any other MD than ilayaraaja

Some say others make noise

Everyone is entitled their opinion but at the same time their opinion should be realistic and should not be jalara ic.....

Recently few kids (I guess I am old enough now) came from india to do what most indians in do in US (software). Most of them are in mid-late 20s. Surprisingly I see many of them listening to 80s song. They are all from Madurai area, so I guess IR is deeply rooted there even now.

I think his music will attract any ears, so even the ones that are not his fans are his fans.

1976 ஆரம்பித்த எங்கள் இளையராஜா இன்னமும் இசையமைத்து கொண்டுதான் இருக்கிறார்.அன்றைய பாடல்களுக்கு உயிர் கொடுத்த அவர் ரசிகர்கள் அதே இளையராஜாவின் இன்றைய பாடல்களுக்கு செவி கொடுப்பதில்லை.
ரசிகர்கள் இளையராஜாவின் இசையைதான் ரசிக்கிறார்களே தவிர இளையராஜாவை அல்ல என்பதையே இது காட்டுகிறது.

வாழ்க்கையோடு தொடர்புள்ள பாடல்கள் மட்டுமே இங்கே நீண்ட நாள் உயிர் வாழ்கின்றன.அவருடைய சோக பாடல்கள் காதலில் தோல்வியுற்ற எத்தனை பேரின் மன வேதனையை தீர்திருக்கும்.மனிதனின் ஒவ்வொரு நிலைக்கும் இசையமைத்து இருக்கிறார்.சந்தோஷம் ,துக்கம், தாலாட்டு ,தனிபாட்டு,உழைப்பு, உயர்வு,வெற்றி ,தோல்வி,பாசம், நேசம்,தேசம், நீதி,ஜாதி,மடமை,கடமை என மனிதனின் வாழ்க்கைக்குள் சென்று பாடி உயிரோடு கலந்த அவர் இசையை கேட்பதா

இல்லை...எதற்கெடுத்தாலும் அரைகுறை ஆடையுடன் அமேரிக்காவிலும் ஆஸ்திரேலியாவிலும் அதிலும் அந்த ஊர் கண்ணி பெண்களுடன் ''அய்யோ'', ''அம்மா'' எனறு வயறுவலித்தவன் கத்துவது போல் பாடும் பாடல்களை கேட்பதா...அதுவும் இந்த கால இசையமப்பாளர்களே இளையராஜாவின் அந்த கால பாடல்களை remix செய்து கொடுப்பது இளையராஜாவின் பாடல்களை மட்டுமே கேளுங்கள் என்று சொல்லாமல் சொல்வது போல் உள்ளது.

இன்னும் இளமையோடு வாழ்ந்துகொண்டிருக்கிற எங்கள் ராக தேவனின் எண்பதுகள் பாட்டுக்களை எங்கள் மனதிலிருந்து தூக்கும் அளவிற்கு எந்த ஒரு இசையமைப்பாளர் இசையமைத்தாலும் அவருடைய பாடல்களை இனிதே வரவேற்போம்

அதுவரைக்கும் எங்கள் காதுகள் தலைவரின் இசைக்கு மட்டுமே செவிகொடுக்கும்...
