INDIANAPOLIS – One night after WWE Elimination Chamber, special guest co-hosts, singer Jewel and her husband, pro bull rider Ty Murray, were riding high in the saddle as they helped wrangle an ornery herd of Superstars into several WrestleMania matches.
John Cena def. WWE Champion Batista by Disqualification
All of John Cena’s matches should be this easy – if less painful. Within moments of the opening bell, his challenger, WWE Champion Batista, kicked Cena in the groin and was immediately disqualified. Per Mr. McMahon’s earlier stipulations, the win cements Cena in a title match against The Animal at WrestleMania.
Things aren’t always as easy as they appear, though. While staggered by the blow, Cena tried to rise above and fight his tormentor. Seeing this, Batista attacked his WrestleMania rival before attempting to leave the ring again. Again, Cena clawed his way back to his feet, and again, Batista attacked him. This time, The Animal nailed Cena with a steel chair before, satisfied, he finally left his victim in the ring alone.
Cheech & Chong to host Monday Night Raw next week
Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong, better known as Cheech & Chong, will bring their iconic comedy to Raw next week when they act as special guest hosts. The pair will take a break from their 2010 tour to stop into Oklahoma City and offer some primo laughs to the WWE Universe.
Mr. McMahon invited Bret Hart back to Raw next week for a proper “farewell”
After the horrible auto accident that befell Bret Hart last week, in which The “Hit Man” suffered injuries to his left leg, Mr. McMahon addressed the situation. The Chairman informed the crowd that the WWE Hall of Famer was invited back next Monday night to offer the WWE Universe a proper “farewell.”
2010 WWE Hall of Fame Inductee announcement: Wendi Richter
One of the original Divas and a WWE Universe favorite, Wendi Richter has been announced as the latest 2010 WWE Hall of Fame Inductee. The two-time WWE Women’s Champion will be inducted the night before WrestleMania.
Jewel & Ty Murray host Diva Bull Riding Competition; Unified Tag Team Champions Big Show & The Miz def. Mark Henry & MVP
Just when the Divas were beginning to master the mechanical bull guest hosts Jewel and Ty Murray brought to Raw, Unified Tag Team Champions Big Show & The Miz decided to drop onto the scene like a couple of cow patties. The duo mocked the sport and heckled the bull.
That’s when Jewel and Murray decided a little revenge was in order and put “Show-Miz” in a title match against Mark Henry & MVP. Unlike last week, though, The World’s Strongest Man and The Franchise Playa fell short and dropped the match to the champions.
Christian def. Carlito in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match
The Road to WrestleMania begins with a few steps – up a ladder. At least that’s the case for Christian. The former ECW Champion, freshly signed with Raw, battled Carlito in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match and won, earning an opportunity to compete in the all-important Ladder Match at WrestleMania. The two Superstars will likely become very familiar with one another moving forward thanks to WWE NXT, the brand-new show on Syfy Tuesday nights in which eight Superstars, NXT Pros, including Christian and Carlito, have been chosen to mentor eight NXT rookies.
The Undertaker accepted Shawn Michaels’ WrestleMania rematch challenge
Shawn Michaels found himself running out of options. He wanted desperately to face The Undertaker again at WrestleMania, but he couldn’t figure out how to make it happen – until last night. HBK interrupted the World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber Match and superkicked The Deadman, allowing Chris Jericho to win the title.
As a result, The Undertaker confronted Michaels tonight and put his WrestleMania undefeated streak on the line by accepting HBK’s rematch challenge … under one condition. If The Phenom wins, The Showstopper must retire!
Kofi Kingston, Evan Bourne & Yoshi Tatsu def. Randy Orton & The Legacy
Things couldn’t have gone much worse for Randy Orton the night before. In his WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match, The Viper “accidentally” received a lead pipe to the head thanks to his Legacy henchman Ted DiBiase, who was also in the bout. So, when The Viper struck a conciliatory tone before the match, both DiBiase and Cody Rhodes should have known something was amiss.
The three prepared to square off against Kofi Kingston, Evan Bourne and Raw’s newest member, Yoshi Tatsu – who officially signed on from ECW – in a Six-Man Tag Team Match. Before the match could take on too ominous a feel for Orton, however, he headed off an attack from Legacy and laid out Rhodes and RKO'd DiBiase, essentially handing his opponents the win.
Maryse def. Gail Kim for the Divas Championship
Last night, just moments before Maryse and Gail Kim were to settle which sexy, smart and powerful woman would lay claim to the Divas Championship, Vickie Guerrero just had to butt in. She decided that SmackDown’s Divas weren’t being represented enough, so she arranged a tag team match pitting Maryse & Gail against Michelle McCool & Layla. Maryse abandoned her partner, watched her get pummeled and then circled around to punish Gail herself.
All of which made for a rancorous bout tonight when Maryse and Gail finally met to decide the Divas Championship. While Gail certainly had ample motivation, the conceited Canadian proved too difficult to handle and netted herself the Butterfly Title.
Mr. McMahon arranged WWE Champion Batista vs. John Cena tonight
Robbed. There’s hardly a better word to describe what happened to John Cena after he managed to defeat five opponents on the way to victory in the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match on Sunday night. The victory was not without casualties. Former WWE Champion Sheamus suffered a concussion and Triple H sustained neck and upper back injuries during the heated bout.
As an exhausted Cena soaked in his accomplishment, The Chairman emerged a mere three minutes and 35 seconds later to inform him that he must defend the title against Batista. After a valiant effort, Cena succumbed to The Animal and relinquished his title.
Tonight, Cena appeared hellbent on facing the new WWE Champion, but Mr. McMahon wouldn’t hear of it, insisting that The Animal will defend the title at WrestleMania. The Chairman did, however, offer Cena a deal: If Cena could win his match tonight, he would become No. 1 contender for the WWE Title. If he lost, Sheamus would assume that position. And who might Cena’s opponent be tonight? None other than Batista himself!
Edge chose to face World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho at WrestleMania
Thought Edge might let bygones be bygones? Not bloody likely. When newly-minted World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho opened Raw and began boasting about how he defeated The Undertaker and four others in the Elimination Chamber to night before, The Rated-R Superstar could no longer take it.
Edge had heard Jericho’s boasting before. While he endured an excruciating recovery from a torn Achilles tendon, The Rated-R Superstar listened to his former tag team partner claim credit for their championship accomplishments. Consider it payback time.
After outlasting 29 opponents at the Royal Rumble, The Ultimate Opportunist had an enviable decision to make: For which World Championship would he choose to compete at WrestleMania. Edge made his decision loud and clear when he climbed into the ring and dropped Jericho with a spear just before proclaiming to the entire WWE Universe that he will be challenging for the World Heavyweight Championship.

[tscii:78c7f84133]March 15, 2010, WWE Raw Results (http://wrestlingtruth.com/news/march-15-2010-wwe-raw-results/)By Keelan Balderson March 16, 2010
SAN DIEGO : When the most popular Superstar in WWE history returns to guest host Monday Night Raw, certain rules apply. First, that Superstar should behave in a manner befitting WWE’s image. Secondly, that Superstar should speak in respectful tones. And lastly, that Superstar should demonstrate sufficient reverence to their former employer.
As “Stone Cold” Steve Austin demonstrated, however, when The Texas Rattlesnake is that Superstar, no rules apply!
“Stone Cold” Steve Austin moderated Bret Hart and Mr. McMahon’s contract signing:After inviting Mr. McMahon and his WrestleMania opponent Bret Hart to the ring, special guest host “Stone Cold” Steve Austin did what he does best, made The Chairman squirm.
Austin announced that, under his orders, Bret Hart’s father, Stu, would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2010. Austin then recalled how tough The “Hit Man” was in their WrestleMania 13 match as his fellow WWE Hall of Famer signed the match contract. As Mr. McMahon glared across the table at his hobbled opponent’s crutches and broken leg, he also gleefully signed his name to the document. And that’s when the trap was slowly, sweetly revealed.
As Austin departed, he implored Hart to “tell Vince.” Much to Mr. McMahon’s chagrin, The Excellence of Execution then tossed his crutch aside, removed his cast and informed the man who had screwed him more than 12 years earlier that his leg was perfectly fine. He also told a shocked Chairman that if he tried to back out of their match, he would sue him for every cent just before he clobbered The Chairman with his cast. As a final verbal backhand, Hart paraphrased Mr. McMahon from 12 years ago: “Vince just screwed Vince.”
WWE Champion Batista def. Kofi Kingston:Kofi Kingston has proven himself to be one of the most agile, athletic and fierce competitors in WWE. For Batista, however, he seemed like little more than an appetizer on the way to a colossal entrance. The WWE Champion appeared to send a message to his WrestleMania opponent, John Cena, when he punished Cena’s one-time ally and stood tall in the ring displaying his WWE Title.
Triple H vs. Randy Orton ended in a No Contest:With the memory of their epic main event match from last year’s 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania still fresh, Triple H and Randy Orton took up the gauntlet one more time. The two, however, would never reach a conclusion. Instead, their respective WrestleMania foes – Sheamus, Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes interceded. The three attacked, kicking up a five-man melee that resulted in The Game and The Viper being left motionless on the canvas.
WrestleMania Match announcement: Randy Orton vs. Ted DiBiase vs. Cody Rhodes in a Triple Threat Match:The tension that strangled the camaraderie out of The Legacy will be on full display when Randy Orton, Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes clash in a Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania. Will DiBiase and Rhodes continue to join forces against their former mentor? Or will the most important match of their young careers bring out a selfish side?
Shawn Michaels def. World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho by Count-out:
Chris Jericho probably thought he was being cute. Rather than continue fighting Shawn Michaels in a rematch from their WrestleMania XIX bout, the World Heavyweight Champion instead lost by deliberately getting himself counted out. Well, the joke was on him when his WrestleMania rival Edge decided to join the festivities. The Ultimate Opportunist battered the World Heavyweight Champion, flipped him into the ring and hammered him with a Spear.
Divas Champion Maryse def. Kelly Kelly:
Perhaps Maryse’s frustration with losing two weeks in a row is beginning to take a toll. Why else would the Divas Champion continue to attack Kelly Kelly even after handily defeating her?
After the conceited Canadian secured the win in a singles match, she set up Kelly Kelly for more punishment, but Eve and Gail Kim bolted in for the save. Just when it appeared Maryse would receive her comeuppance from the three, SmackDown’s Women’s Champion Michelle McCool and Layla shot in to protect her. As Maryse, Michelle and Layla snaked away, Vickie Guerrero emerged to greet them, leaving many in the WWE Universe pondering the strange alliance.
Evan Bourne vs. Sheamus ended in a No Contest:The match between Evan Bourne and Sheamus was over before it began. The bell hadn’t yet rung when The Celtic Warrior drove his boot into the high flyer, and a crucifix bomb sent him spilling out of the ring. The fierce Irishman then took to the mic and described how he intends to devastate his WrestleMania opponent, Triple H.
Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show def. John Cena:In the first WrestleMania Rewind Match of the night, John Cena faced off against Big Show, his opponent from WrestleMania XX. While the two powerhouses exchanged sturdy blows, it was Cena who finally seemed to best The World’s Largest Athlete as he prepared to slam Show with an Attitude Adjustment. WWE Champion Batista, who will battle Cena at this year’s extravaganza, walked to the ring and distracted Cena enough for one half of the Unified Tag Team Champions to gain his composure before leveling him with a knockout punch.

[tscii:3a27262a2e]March 19, 2010 SmackDown Results!
LOS ANGELES – With The Grandest Stage of Them All just nine days away, Shawn Michaels ambushed an unsuspecting Undertaker, CM Punk accepted Rey Mysterio’s WrestleMania challenge, and World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho got the better of Edge.
Rey Mysterio accepted CM Punk’s WrestleMania challenge
After being tormented in front of his family last week, Rey Mysterio eagerly accepted CM Punk’s challenge for a WrestleMania match. However, The Master of the 619 wanted their differences to be settled in a Street Fight! Not willing to give in to Mysterio’s request so easily, Punk demanded that he beat Luke Gallows in a match on SmackDown – or their WrestleMania encounter would be a straight up match. Piling on the stipulations, CM Punk declared that if Rey touches him before WrestleMania, their match is off. And if The Ultimate Underdog loses at WrestleMania, he must take the Straight Edge pledge!
Luke Gallows def. Rey Mysterio
After stinging Luke Gallows with the 619, Rey Mysterio appeared to be on his way to victory – and a Street Fight with CM Punk. However, as Mysterio set up on the top ropes, Serena grabbed his feet, causing him to fall to the canvas. Gallows capitalized, covering Mysterio for the win. Frustrated with the outcome, Mysterio launched into an uncharacteristic vicious attack on Gallows outside of the ring. The loss means Mysterio will now face CM Punk in straight up match at WrestleMania. (Match preview)
World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho attacked Edge
Last week, Chris Jericho got the better of Edge on the “Highlight Reel” by smashing him in the head with his title. On this night on “The Cutting Edge,” it looked like it was Edge’s turn when he tossed Jericho from the ring and Speared his WWE NXT Rookie, Wade Barrett. But, the champion got back in the ring and dropped Edge with the Codebreaker. Who will prevail in just nine days?
Jack Swagger & Dolph Ziggler def. Matt Hardy & MVP
In a little more than a week, all four Superstars in this tag team match will square off in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania. The shining star on this night was Dolph Ziggler, who downed MVP with the Zig Zag. Afterward, Ziggler set up a ladder in the middle of the ring and climbed to the top to grab hold of the coveted Money in the Bank briefcase. Who will capture the briefcase when it really counts? (MITB preview)
Beth Phoenix & Tiffany def. Women’s Champion Michelle McCool & Layla
With a Glam Slam, Beth Phoenix dropped the Women’s Champion for the win for her team. After the match, Official SmackDown Consultant Vickie Guerrero demanded an apology from The Glamazon for hitting her with a clothesline last week. Beth obliged with an apology, but that still wasn’t good enough for Guerrero. Next week it will be Vickie vs. Beth in a match on SmackDown!
John Morrison & R-Truth def. The Hart Dynasty
With a fast-striking Lie Detector, R-Truth downed Tyson Kidd for the victory for his team. Although the win was a nice momentum boost, is it enough for Morrison & Truth to topple Unified Tag Team Champions Big Show & The Miz at WrestleMania?
WrestleMania coverage
Undertaker def. Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre
While Undertaker will soon defend his 17-0 streak at WrestleMania, Drew McIntyre was looking to keep his own undefeated streak alive in a non-title match. Despite his best efforts, the champion was no match for The Phenom’s vicious leg drop, chokeslam and Tombstone.
After the match, as The Deadman made his way to the top of the exit ramp, he was greeted by Shawn Michaels who – after scuffling with his WrestleMania opponent – downed him with some hard-hitting Sweet Chin Music![/tscii:3a27262a2e]

[tscii:c3dcd2b242]Best Wrestlemania Matches:20
Historically Significant Matches at Mania
1.Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin - WrestleMania 13
This was a great match with Ken Shamrock has a special guest referee and the match featured two best performers of the 90s. Great back and forth action throughout the match. This match succeeded in completing a double turn as Hart turned heel and Austin turned face. It also signaled a changing of the guard. This was Hart's last Wrestlemania match as he was on his way out. Meanwhile, this match went a long way in turning Austin into a huge fan favorite and one of the biggest stars in WWE history. The Austin era would see the WWE reach unprecedented heights and reclaim dominance in the ratings war with WCW. Austin's bloody face(Austin's famous blade job) in the sharpshooter is one of the greatest visuals in WWE history. Austin lost the match, but, in the long run, he was the biggest winner.
2.Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant - WrestleMania 3
This was the most anticipated match in wrestling history. The show was headlined with the WWF Champion Hulk Hogan as he did battle with his one time friend Andre the Giant at WrestleMania 3. The match itself wasn't great, but this was the match that drew a record 93,173 to the Ponitac Silverdome in Detroit, Michigan. This was the very definition of a money match. Hogan slamming Andre was the most famous moment in wrestling history and Hogan's victory cemented him as the biggest star in wrestling history.
3.Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart Iron Man Match (Wrestlemania XII)
This was the first, iron man match in Wrestlemania history. This match featured the two biggest stars of the mid 90s. At 60+ minutes, this match can be a little boring but these guys put up a great match together. This match has way too many memorable memories to count, such as Shawn's entrance from the rafters and overrun of the match after its sixty minute stipulation. The last fifteen minutes were some of the most exciting in the history of WrestleMania. This marked Shawn Michaels' first WWE title.
4.Razor Ramon vs. Shawn Michaels – WM X
This match is quite arguably the most important match in the history of WrestleMania. This match began to usher in a whole new style of pro wrestling and influenced some of the biggest stars in WWE history. This ladder match was so entertaining that a whole new style of wrestling was created that has seen wrestlers take unbelievable risks with their bodies. Beyond the match, people generally forget about the great storyline behind the match. For this match, people truly didn’t know what to expect from a ladder match. Ramon and Michaels put on one hell of a show. All in all a true classic and well worthy of a top-five spot on the list.
5.Steve Austin vs. The Rock - WrestleMania X-Seven
Something from Wrestlemania X-Seven has to be included in any kind of list that based Wrestlemania. This is the best Wrestlemania ever along with Wrestlemania III. I think this is one of the unforgettable main events in Wrestlemania history. This encounter was the main event at Wrestlemania 17 with personal drama, pride, and the WWF Championship title on the line. Two great stars gave one hell of a showing during the main event match at WrestleMania X8. The ending could have been one of the most shocking when Vince McMahon helped Austin defeated the Rock and become the WWF Champion.
6.Edge & Christian vs The Dudley Boyz vs The Hardy Boyz - WM 17
This is the innovative and shining moment for tag team wrestling during the Attitude Era. I know these guys did it again a year later, but this match goes on the list for two reasons. First, the anticipation was at an all-time high because we didn’t know what to expect from this. This match represents the pinnacle of the movement that the previous match started. These same teams fought the year before in just a ladder match. This match saw the addition of ladders and chairs and each team had a person interfering for them in this match. Edge hitting the spear off the top rope on D-Von Dudley who was dangling in midair is the single most visually stunning move in the history of the event. In a match that saw interference from Rhyno, Spike Dudley, and Lita, the end came with both Edge and Christian capturing the WWF Tag Championship.
7.Macho Man Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat – WM III
On the night that the main event featured the most anticipated match ever, these two men stole the show. This match is arguably the greatest in the career of Randy Savage and without a doubt the best match Steamboat had in the WWF. This match featured great back and forth action and numerous near falls. Everything clicked between these two who showed great chemistry throughout the match. This match marked the first time that a men's singles title changed hands at Wrestlemania. Considering all of the big names and moments in Wrestlemania history, you would never expect this match to be on everyone’s list of all-time greats. Yet, it’s right up there in everyone’s list.
8.Shawn Michaels vs. Steve Austin - WrestleMania XIV
The show down between Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 14 is one of the greatest matches in Wrestlemania history because it marked the beginning of an era for Austin. Both men gave one of the most memorable performances of their careers. Through the match you can tell Michaels was going through extreme pain in his lower back (which he hurt earlier in the year). This was also Steve Austin's first title victory after he pinned Michaels following a Stone Cold Stunner. Mike Tyson was also the special guest enforcer.
9.The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels – WM 25
Unlike the WWE announcers who every week tells us that this was the greatest WrestleMania match of all time, I tend to disagree. I will say this is best in recent years but not the best of all time. While the match was great, the Undertaker and Shawn Michaels stole the show with their awesome and legendary performance. The true greatness of this match you never sense who will this match. Still, the WWE did a great job by keeping Undertaker’s streak alive. I can have it low on the list but based on the final in-ring product, this belongs in the top ten, easily
10.Edge vs Mick Foley - WrestleMania 22
This match was better than expected at that year WrestleMania. If there is one wrestler who did jobber very nicely it would be Mick Foley. He had the same kind with match with Randy Orton already and pushed him to a new height. But this is better war than what Foley had with Orton in 2004. The finish was absolutely phenomenal by Edge during this match proceeded to dive through the ropes of the ring slamming Mick Foley through a flaming table. Definitely an awesome moment and match in WrestleMania history.
11.Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart (Wrestlemania X)
This was the first, brother vs. brother match in Wrestlemania history. Without a doubt, this is the greatest opening match in WrestleMania history. This match set the bar very high for Matt and Jeff, who will become the second pair of brothers to face off at Wrestlemania later. This was an outstanding match with great wrestling sequences involving well-executed maneuvers and reversals, holds and counter holds. This match elevated Owen into the main event and later in the evening, Bret became the WWE Champ. The rematches between these brothers would main event arenas throughout the world for the next several months.
12.The Ultimate Warrior vs Hulk Hogan – WM 6
This was the first retirement match in Wrestlemania history. This match was the first time in the Hulkamania era that Hogan lost a match cleanly. Both men entered and left the ring as fan favorites that day. This match was the passing of the torch from the era of Hulkamania to the era of the Warrior. While the era of the Warrior didn’t last long, the memories of this match will live forever for anyone who saw this match when it happened.
13.The Rock vs. Hollywood Hulk Hogan (Wrestlemania XVIII)
This was a dream match between two of the biggest icons in WWE history. This marked Hogan first Wrestlemania appearance in nine years. What really made the match was the great fan participation from a hot Toronto crowd. The wrestling match between Hulk Hogan, icon of the past, and The Rock, icon of a new generation, filled the Sky dome with emotion and excitement. Fans were mostly in the corner of Hulkster. Hulk Hogan wrestled with heart, but in the end couldn't withstand the stamina and power of The Rock. This also marked the Rock's first big Wrestlemania win.
14.Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho wrestlemania 19
This match was the Heartbreak Kid’s long awaited WrestleMania return and boy was it worth waiting for. The build up to this match at Wrestlemania 19 was intense. The match moved quickly with grappling and take downs. Michaels took Jericho and the win after an intense match that had the crowd roaring. Both guys used new moves, new transitions, and told a phenomenal story which made this one of the greatest WrestleMania matches of all time. At the end of the match Jericho downed Michaels with a low blow after an embrace.
15.Money In the Bank Ladder Match (Wrestlemania XXI)
This innovative concept was the brainchild of WWE superstar Chris Jericho. The idea is that six men (now eight) compete in a ladder match to grab a briefcase containing a world title shot at any point in the next year (365 days). The match itself was an amazing athletic exhibition. Great performances by all involved, especially Shelton Benjamin, who was the star of the match. The match, though, is remembered for launching the career of Edge (the winner), who has become one of the biggest stars in the WWE. The match has become an annual Wrestlemania event and it is used much like King of the Ring used to be, to elevate a young star to the next level.
16.Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle - Wrestlemania XIX
This was one of the best feuds of the last decade. This match was on of the finest wrestling matches I ever seen with two best in ring workers bout each other. They had great ring chemistry, match came back and forth making crowd confuse in what way the match could go. This is great battle between Lesner’s power and Angle technical intelligence. But finally Lesner got a victory by delivering two quick F-5's (despite performing a botched shooting star press in the middle) to take the title
17.Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Benoit vs. Triple H WrestleMania 20
For me, this was one of Shawn Michaels’ most disappointing matches. Even though it was a very good match, but nowhere near the caliber of the other HBK matches. The reason why it is upper than HBK vs Flair match was because of the anticipation of Benoit finally winning a World Title made this main event so great. The fact that Benoit made Triple H submit made it even better. If we forget Benoit’s tragic life moments, I think we will see this as one of the best Wrestlemania main events ever. After winning Eddie came to the ring to appreciate his long life friend and these two having an emotional hug this was one of the memorable moments in the history of WrestleMania.
18..Shawn Michaels vs Kurt Angle - WrestleMania 21
This match is all about two of the best in ring performers doing what they do best, stealing the show. On my opinion, this is one underrated WrestleMania matches ever. Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels were at their best and the fans began demanding to see this great match. The build, the anticipation, and the payoff couldn’t have been better. Kurt Angle surprisingly make HBK taps out of his angle lock was awesome.
19.Ric Flair vs Shawn Michaels – WM 24
The night before this show, Ric Flair was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. However, his celebration didn't last long because if he lost to Shawn then his career would be over. In a sport that usually does a bad job at ending careers with a fitting finale, this match provided the greatest ending to the career of arguably the greatest professional wrestler. The most famous moment of this match was the ending when Shawn mouthed the words: "I'm Sorry, I Love You." before ending the career of one of his idols.
20.Triple H vs. The Undertaker Wrestlemania 17
This is one of the best matches in best WrestleMania ever. It’s all started when Triple H complains about not being in the main event of WrestleMania, and then Undertaker came out with a challenge. This match was better than everyone expected. The crowd around the arena was so great given a huge pop for this match. The end sequence was so great when Undertaker trying a Last Ride game counters it with the help of sledgehammer for a two count. But finally Undertaker goes 9–0 with the Last Ride out of nowhere for the victory in this brutal match.

A perfect Dead(man’s) end for HBK
PHOENIX – One could argue that it wasn’t Shawn Michaels who lost on The Grandest Stage of Them All Sunday night. Yes, Michaels fell in defeat to The Phenom, who extended his unbeaten WrestleMania streak to an unprecedented 18-0. However, by ending The Showstopper’s illustrious career, The Deadman effectively provided the WWE Universe with perhaps its greatest collective loss in WWE history: the end of an icon’s ring career.
Their rematch was destined to happen – many believed that as soon as their epic first confrontation at the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania concluded one year prior. It certainly remained foremost in the mind of HBK, who demanded another opportunity against The Phenom at The Show of Shows since last December’s Slammy Awards ceremony on Raw. Yet after months of calling out The Deadman and coming up short in bids to earn a rematch, Michaels finally succeeded after costing The Undertaker his World Heavyweight Title inside the Elimination Chamber last February.
Of course, garnering The Undertaker’s sole, undivided attention is a double-edged sword. The Phenom finally agreed to face The Showstopper one more time at WrestleMania – with the stipulation that it would be Shawn Michaels’ last time as a WWE Superstar, should he fail to end “The Streak,” a prize that many would equate to a World Championship … or perhaps hold in even higher regard.
Sunday’s rematch between HBK and The Undertaker was only the fourth such contest to end a WrestleMania without championship gold on the line. However, it was, by far, the most important of those matches. Furthermore, indecision or controversy was all but eliminated by the stipulation that this “Streak vs. Career” Match could end only via pinfall or submission.
“I wouldn’t have agreed to this match if I wasn’t at a place where I was ready to take on the inevitable, which is the end of my career,” Michaels told WWE.com in an exclusive interview hours before the confrontation. “I like to be a man of my word. I’d like to honor what I said to The Undertaker … that if I don’t beat his streak, I will walk away.”
That said, Michaels was more than ready Sunday night. Before a capacity crowd inside the University of Phoenix Stadium, fans’ loyalties were divided as “Mr. WrestleMania” gave the Showstopping performance of his career – and a match that must have left The Undertaker wondering, even if just for a moment, whether or not he could defeat HBK at a second consecutive WrestleMania.
Though it seemed impossible to conceive, Michaels and The Deadman outdid their epic confrontation from last year – a match that was deemed universally as 2009’s Match of the Year. The tide turned multiple times Sunday night, but when Michaels connected with the Sweet Chin Music that has silenced 25 years’ worth of ring opponents, posters stating “17-1” began popping up sporadically in the crowd.
Unfortunately for them, The Phenom wasn’t quite ready to relinquish his unbeaten WrestleMania record, a streak that is unparalleled in the history of WWE.

Intercontinental Championship Match Singles Match Dolph Ziggler (c) Vs. Kofi Kingston
Great opener ruined by a weak, almost predictable, repeated ending.
Result: The match ended in a no-contest after The Nexus attacked both men and ’ sent a message’ to Team WWE.

Segment 1
- We Need The Miz
Jericho and Edge tried to talk Miz into joining Team WWE and he said he ’d think about it.

Divas Championship Match Divas Match Melina Vs.
Alicia Fox (c)
Melina picked up the win in this one, despite tweaking her ‘injured’ knee and having to battle adversity. After the match Lay-Cool hit the ring and
beat the hell out of her, both verbally and physically.
Result : Melina became the new Divas Champion.
------------------------------------------------------------
Grudge Match 3 on 1 Handicap Match The Big Show Vs. The Straight Edge Society
Pretty dull match, with no real talking points.
Result : The Big Show won by pinfall after C.M Punk walked out on his disciples.
------------------------------------------------------------
Segment 2 - Champion Meets Champion
Kane and Sheamus had a little altercation regarding Kane ’s Casket. Sheamus wanted to borrow it to put Orton in, Kane said no, the pair threatened each
other.
------------------------------------------------------------
Segment 3 - In or Out ?
Long story short The Miz came to the ring, insulted everyone, then said he WOULD join Team WWE tonight!
------------------------------------------------------------
WWE Championship Match Singles Match Randy Orton Vs. Sheamus (c)
Very good match but again a weak ending. Sheamus played the cowardly heel again and got himself disqualified after failing to put Orton away with a number of his trademark moves. After the match Orton hit Sheamus with an RKO on the announce table, leaving him a little worse for wear.
Result : Randy Orton wins by Disqualification but Sheamus keeps hold of the belt.
------------------------------------------------------------
World Heavyweight Championship Match Singles Match Kane (c) Vs. Rey Mysterio
A very dull re-hashed match that had the crowd propping their eyelids open with matchsticks. The Undertaker made a less than glorious return at the end of the match, emerging from Kane ’s casket to blame his brother for his former ‘vegetative state’.
Kane attacked him and drilled him with a Tombstone, before leaving with his title.
Result : Kane retained the title by Pinfall.
------------------------------------------------------------
WWE Vs. The Nexus Match 7 on 7 Elimination Match Team WWE : John Cena, John Morrison, Chris Jericho, Edge, R-Truth, Bret Hart, ??? Vs. Team Nexus:
Wade Barrett, David Otunga, Skip Sheffield, Michael Tarver, Darren Young, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater
This match saved the whole PPV from being a bit of a wash-out. Daniel Bryan returned to join Team WWE
and aided them in a victory that seemed a little unlikely at some times. The Miz, feeling shunned by Cena’s WWE Team, appeared towards the end of the
match and took out his frustrations on his former Rookie, dropping him with the Money in the Bank Briefcase. Things ultimately boiled down to Cena Vs.
Barrett, and an STF finally decided the outcome.
Result: Team WWE win with 1 man remaining ; John Cena.[/tscii:e9da06ef94]

LOS ANGELES - During Monday Night Raw, the City of Angels played host to a pair of WWE's heavenly bodies, a contingent of deadly sinners and a half dozen Superstars ready to clash in a battle of biblical proportions at the Night of Champions pay-per-view.
- Raw General Manager allowed WWE Champion Sheamus to choose his opponent at Night of Champions. He sits on a throne offered by the Mgr and watches the matches.

2) Chris Jericho def. The Great Khali
3) Divas Champion Melina def. Jillian
- Raw’s GM lifted ban on The Nexus competing for titles. Also Wade Barret ended his truce with Sheamus.
4) United States Champion The Miz def. John Cena by Disqualification (Daniel Bryan interrupts and locks Miz)
5) Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov def. The Usos (Tag team match)
6) Randy Orton def. Ted DiBiase and John Morrison in a Triple Threat Match (A must watch)
7) WWE Champion Sheamus gave Zack Ryder an opportunity to win the Title. But within 10 secs and in a single kick Sheamus defs. Zack Ryder :rotfl3: (Funny match)
- Raw’s General Manager announced Six Pack Challenge at Night of Champions -- WWE Champion Sheamus, John Cena, Chris Jericho, Edge, Randy Orton, Wade Barret :slurp: :slurp: But all others take on Wade Barret at the same time... I was referring to Jericho & Edge, then Kane who stopped the match between Taker & Hitman.... It could have been more exciting to watch two greats taking on each other.....
Ya we have seen a lot of main league stars, but they keep us entertained most of the times !! I like Nexus for the fact that they are unified and very clever but unless some strong coalition is made amongst main league superstars of WWE, I'm sure RAW is going to have a horrible time ! I feel the only saviours of RAW for the time being are the Divas... RAW is boring these days... Hoping Night Of Champs will change things....

UT is one hip injury away from retirement and Y2J is the most high profile jobber at the moment..
i also like to see the big stars in the main matches. but you can't fault wwe for bringing young stars. they are the future.
Ut, HHH, Edge, Michaels, Orton all are prone to long term injuries. Jerico almost never misses a show but nobody takes him seriously anyway. Big Show, Kane and CM Punk are also free from injuries, but they are nowhere near main event level, so i'm siding with WWE for the push of Nexus and other youngsters (Sheamus, Bourne, Miz, Morrison).

WWE isn't stupid to let two of their biggest stars to leave just like that (3 if you count Mr.Kennedy )
Angle - Released in 2006. He was too broken down. Was addicted to pain killers and Vince thought he's done in wrestling.
Hardy - He left WWE voluntarily. He did work some extra dates even after his contract ran out in June 2009. WWE promised to give him exclusive contract. Only Undertaker and Michaels had that sort of contract in the history. Means, he can work when he wants. He can skip house shows, he gets share for his merchandise (Jeff was a bigger star than merchandise megastars Cena or Taker in summer 2009). But he still left. On his way out, he made a genuine main event star in CM Punk. Just like how Bret made Austin in 1997. Reports said he was burned out and he wasn't very happy how he was treated during his feud against CM Punk.
But both are doing well in TNA. And WWE is still fine without two of their biggest stars of last decade.
Kennedy is a different case altogether. If not for Benoit, the guy would have been multi-time world champion.

From Twitter : WWE RAW Rating for 9/20 Bombs - Lowest In Almost 2 Years!
The 9/20 edition of Monday Night RAW post Night of Champions PPV did a 2.8 rating with an overall audice of 3.9 million viewers. Hour one brought in a 2.77 million with a increase to 2.82 million in hour 2. The NFL game on ESPN did a 10.92 which may or may not have had a direct impact on the low rating.
WWE's flagship program had not scored a rating below 3.0 since November 17, 2008. Viewership was below 4,000,000 million for the first time since December 31, 2007. (PWInsider.com, Pro Wrestling Torch)
All I need to say is there will be a few raised eye brows among WWE management. There will be no "Did You Know" promos for this rating fact.
Well.... WWE had lost many fans... I started watching wrestling some 7 years ago !! But it was just for few months... Then after nearly 6 years i have started to track it a few weeks before summerslam 2010.... Miss All the backstage gimmicks... Funny conversations... Wish that people like Boogeyman, Carlito, Tajiri, Booker T, Rikishi, Guerrero, Yugeen, Kurt Angle and many more were still there... These days it's becoming monotonous ... Thanks to people like Edge, Jericho, Cena... Still they make funny gimmicks...

Nexus mosquitoes !! They are interrupting what shud have been some Historical matches. Earlier in Raw season premiere they interrupted the match between UT and Bret Hart. And now in Smackdown they have interrupted the good match between Kane & JC. Blue Monday
CALGARY – As Team Raw prepares to make landfall at WWE Bragging Rights in just six days, the red brand found themselves awash in a stormy sea of blue when the SmackDown roster invaded Monday night.
Edge won a SmackDown vs. Raw Battle Royal
The tensions between Team Raw and Team SmackDown proved too big to be contained. What was to be a match pitting Raw’s Team Captain, The Miz, against SmackDown’s Team Captain, Big Show, ended up escalating into an explosive Battle Royal.
When Show entered the ring, he called upon his fellow SmackDown Superstars to join him. Faced with a stormy sea of blue, Miz then enlisted his brand’s roster to unite behind him as well. The blue and red collision threatened to spiral out of control, until Theodore Long arranged a SmackDown vs. Raw Battle Royal.
With bodies flying and loyalties tested, it was Edge who would prevail by sending Sheamus over the top rope with just six days until he and Team SmackDown head into battle at WWE Bragging Rights.
Natalya def. Alicia Fox
Canada loves a native daughter. As evidence, the crowd inside Calgary’s Pengrowth Saddledome rattled the rafters when it became clear Natalya would prevail over her opponent, Alicia Fox. “Co-Divas Champions” Michelle McCool & Layla were a couple of notable exceptions. With six days before Natalya challenges for the title, Lay-Cool attempted to ambush her. Although Michelle nearly managed to lock in the Sharpshooter on Natalya, Bret Hart’s niece reversed the submission move and came within moments of locking it in on Layla before McCool managed to snatch away her BFF.
U.S. Champion Daniel Bryan challenged Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler to a match at WWE Bragging Rights
SmackDown continued their offensive into Raw territory. This time, Vickie Guerrero paraded her blond beau, Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler, around the ring. Before the two exchanged any PDAs, U.S. Champion Daniel Bryan mercifully interrupted. He challenged Ziggler to a match at WWE Bragging Rights, which Ziggler accepted. Six days, however, appeared too long a wait.
The two began to scuffle and Bryan clamped on the LeBell Lock. As Vickie whined for him to leave her boyfriend alone, several Raw Divas slid into the ring and surrounded her. After embarrassing SmackDown’s Official Consultant, the Divas and Bryan began to celebrate with a little dancing. Lucky dog!
WWE Champion Randy Orton & John Cena def. Husky Harris & Michael McGillicutty; The Nexus attacked Orton
True to his word, John Cena held nothing back. After Wade Barrett told him to go all out in his tag team match with WWE Champion Randy Orton against Nexus hopefuls Husky Harris & Michael McGillicutty, Cena showed what makes him so tough to beat. He and The Viper cemented their uneasy alliance in an effort to defeat their rookie rivals. After an impressive turn, McGillicutty dropped his guard long enough for Orton to level him with an RKO to win the bout. When Harris attempted to ambush the WWE Champion, the Legendary star foiled the attack.
Suffice to say, Wade Barrett was hardly amused. He ordered Cena out of the ring and instructed his fellow Nexus cohorts to attack Orton, his opponent at this Sunday’s WWE Bragging Rights. The 4-on-1 beatdown left The Viper bruised and battered on the mat.
To compound Orton’s injuries, Barrett commanded Cena to perform an Attitude Adjustment on him. Just as a reluctant Cena was about to hurt his tag partner, his English overlord took The Viper off his shoulders and crashed him to the canvas with Wasteland.
Goldust def. Zack Ryder
Ted DiBiase had a million reasons to confront Goldust. Before he did, however, The Bizarre One faced down the challenge of Zack Ryder, who he disposed of rather quickly. Afterward, DiBiase and his “harm candy,” Maryse, entered to retrieve The Million Dollar Title, which Goldust had absconded with the week prior.
While The “Fortunate Son” ambushed Goldust, Maryse made a beeline for the goods. Unfortunately for her, Goldust’s NXT Rookie, Aksana, wasn’t giving up the title. Instead, the lithe Lithuanian clutched the glimmering gold and sprinted up the ramp to safety. Afterward, The Bizarre one punished DiBiase for meddling in his odd affairs.
WWE Tag Team Champions Drew McIntyre & "Dashing" Cody Rhodes def. The Hart Dynasty
The Hart Dynasty may be showing some fissures. After another loss to the WWE Tag Team Champions Drew McIntyre & "Dashing" Cody Rhodes, Tyson Kidd departed in a serious huff, leaving Natalya and his partner, David Hart Smith, to ponder their future prospects.
Team SmackDown invaded Raw; Big Show challenged The Miz to a match
With SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long leading the charge, the blue brand’s team for WWE Bragging Rights invaded Raw. Long appeared to relish introducing Team SmackDown, including captain Big Show, Edge, Alberto Del Rio, Kofi Kingston, Jack Swagger, Tyler Reks & Rey Mysterio.
The seven interlopers paraded around the ring until Team Raw’s captain, The Miz, confronted them and presented members of the red squad, including CM Punk, John Morrison, Santino Marella, Sheamus and newest member, Ezekiel Jackson.
The two teams scuffled after Team SmackDown refused to exit the ring. Once the air had cleared, Show challenged his counterpart, Miz, to a match later in the evening. Bolstered by his teammates, Mr. Money in the Bank accepted.[/tscii:184f6583ad][/u]

you can say that again. terribly boring. apart from the excellent hhh/taker and a great starmaking show from cody, nothing really stood out.
go with the positives first.
1) HHH/Undertaker - fantastic match. i really though the streak was over when HHH hit UT with the tombstone. UT looked legit hurt in the end. The man deserves lot of credit for stealing the show again at the grandest stage.
2) Cody Rhodes - what a star he has turned out to be. i was never a big fan of him when he was on raw. always thought ted dibiase will be a bigger star than him. but this guy has improved leaps and bounds after moving to smackdown.
nothing else actually.
Edge/Alberto Del Rio. :banghead: He's a royal rumble winner ffs. While i agree that he shouldn't have won the belt, but do they need to make it obvious by making him losing clean.. within 11 minutes.. in a world title match in a OPENING match. idiots. Edge is so broken down and it's not even funny. Del Rio did a giant carry job and worked for 4 men to make the match interesting. ADR did all the moves and Rated R Superman Edge won with a single spear.
Punk/Orton .. mega bore. leg work went no where and the i've already seen like 29 times.
Morrison / Ziggler / Ladies - was ok for what it was. Snookie did some moves that i thought i'd never see.
Miz/ Cena ... are you kidding me??? seriously.. this is what they came up with for the biggest show of the year. is vince russo back in mcmahon's payroll??? did dusty rhodes booked this pile of garbage. the match itself was an average raw midcard match and coupled with a ridiculous booking, this has to be the worst main event in my recent memory.
to think i paid almost 30 for this... :hammer:
but watch it for UT/HHH. you won't be disappointed.

never marked so much in recent memory.. one of the most deserving superstars in north america. excellent work erthic, excellent in ring, excellent promo.. I was very happy that he won. Good ladder match with some sick spots, mostly taken by Alberto.
Del Rio has won me over truly last night. I think he can be a big star one day. Since he's on RAW now, i wan't him to beat the hell out of Cena and win the WWE Title
Morrison made the main event with some innovative spots, Miz has improved leaps and bounds since winning the title, but that doesn't stop him from being average at best. Michelle / Layla was a very good ladies match. Other than that nothing much to add..

wrestling world have lost a true legend yesterday.
Macho Man Randy Savage.
I'm honestly devastated and lost for words because he was my favorite of 80's and was influential in both entertainment and wrestling point of view. i feel like i've lost part of my childhood. he's their best wholesome performer in 80's and even was reeking awesomeness in 90's.
Vince obviously hates him, but i hope they do the right thing and induct him to the HOF asap.
