Didn't Pauline Kael say something like,
"most natural and least self-conscious screen actor who ever lived". Absolutely nailed-on.

Avatar won both best director and best movie awards. Avatar will be clear favorite in oscars too. When cameroon holds the trophy for director and movie awards at oscar, all the box office records will be broken by avatar and he will be king of the world again.

Landa won best supporting for "Landa" role. :notworthy:
DDL misses out on "Nine". No problem he's got plenty of 'em already. So glad for Downey Jr. I haven't even seen Sherlock Holmes yet. :(
QT missed out :( But a big surprise to see him nominated. Thought IB wouldn't be a favorite for everybody.

"White Ribbon" won
Well it takes an accessible Haneke film to win these numpties over. Maybe he shouldn't bother about his creative juices, but stick to projects that might cater to cretins.
But mostly surprised because Haneke hates hollywood, and had directly & indirectly attacked it. Irony.

So glad for Downey Jr. I haven't even seen Sherlock Holmes yet. :(About time, buddy. The man made that role his own, stole it right from all the Holmes you can think of. Awesome, RDJ

Always banked on RDJ. Hence why, I was glad he won.
The under-appreciated in hollywood won - RDJ and Jeff bridges - on the same night.
