Oh these songs are so wonderful and give a totally new aural experience. but after few listens there is nothing more to linger upon to. These songs are so rich in their sound quotient that they never captures our imagination in the way music should! the songs stay outside very near to our ears and fade away when the next song nudges through for its way. I am hoping for a composer to carry forward the tradition of Raaja (Including his predecessors...hey he is just their culmination) whose songs would enter your soul after the aural sense is tickled enough.
These songs are refreshing, yes. but will be in the dustbin shortly! Can't help being harsh

That's really harsh, RS :(

Though harsh it is true. The songs are pretty good for listening to and it kind of falls into a thaman Pattern(these days that happens with every other MD). But nice try Thaman and thanks for some good melodies after a long time. In that department we were starting to get bored with the same content style from various MD's.

I am very disappointed in Thaman. At first I thought he was a breath of fresh air until my gf showed me this:
Lips of an Angel by Hinder = Manadhin Adiyil
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiSfTyrvJlg
And then I listened to this song as well:
Will We Ever Meet Again by TImbaland ft Katy Perry = Kanavena

The first song seams to have borrowed a lot while the second one I couldn't relate much. Nothing as such as fresh air, but it really grows on the next listening. Liked Kanavenna...

Music Review of Aridhu Aridhu:
200 words review from Karthik:
http://itwofs.com/milliblog/2010/06/13/aridhu-aridhu-music-review-tamil-thaman-s/
The Tanglish lyrics of Oo lalali is a problem, but one cannot blame Thaman alone for it; the composer has delivered and how! Suchitra’s inimitable voice seldom goes wrong for such songs; essentially a lovely melody with marvelous arrangements. Ujaini’s Saturday girlodu too has silly lyrics, but as a tune it is very catchy, even with the methodic rhythm. Kanavugal edhuvarai sounds more like one of Thaman’s Telugu material, but his usual arsenal of pleasing sounds is intact, including his own vocalized singing that he uses to great effect, along with pulsating guitar phrases. Reeta confidently takes on the pop ballad-style Missing something and her silky smooth vocals ace the tune; the early Rahman-like interludes and arrangements help too. The film’s director, Mathivanan, croons the ruminative Azhaghai sirithaiyada, considerably propped by Thaman’s scintillating, ambient orchestration. Un uyirai is so very Rahman – a beautifully soft melody with excellent lyrics; Karthik, as always, breezes through the track while Thaman builds it up slowly, retaining the soul. Eeram, Mundhinam Paartheney and now Aridhu Aridhu – Thaman is undeniably becoming a force to reckon with, in Tamil film music. This soundtrack delivers effortlessly even within a massy, commercial format and that is some achievement!
