Saw BABA last saturday in SUN tv. It had more substance than Sivaji but the presentation could have been better... 1st half was breezy with nice one lines from goundamani annan and had some nice scenes and dialogules that suits Rajini. The songs could have been filmed better and the fight sequences looked silly and cheesy. From the point, he gets 7 wishes from Babaji, the writing could have been more imaginative. Instead of scenes like kites, neelambari, 10 lakhs, they could have written and executed pure fantasy stuffs which would have taken the movie to other level. The things like saamiyar,back bone etc., made it look like a rama narayanan movie. The confrontation scenes thalaivar have with both Ippo ramasamy and CM purushotaman were excellent...

The movie might do well, if they reshot stunts,climax,7 wishes scenes and re release the movie in 3d.seven wishes scenes if filmed bettter have got excellent potential for 3d.

I felt thalivar was looking very styllish but media wrote otherway around... i like all the scenes of thalivar and Goundamani....Succeana padatha thaan remake pannanumnu illa.... intha padatha remake pannalam with better screen play...

Atlast universally much awaited and much hyped songs of BABA were released on 31st July. Let's have a close look at the songs of this album

1.Baba Theme (Ekamevadhvitiyam):

Usually Rajini's film songs begin with an introductory song by S.P.B. and this used to be the most expected song by his die hard fans. But here the album starts with a peaceful theme music blended with Srinivas'sanskrit chanting. This depicts the superstar's obsession towards spirtuality. The theme, Rajini wants to deliver through this song is that "there can be only one paramatma" .

2. Dippu Dippu:

This fast number promises to be the introductory song for Rajini in this film. But it's doubtful whether the metallic voice of Shankar Mahadevan will suit for Rajini. This number is really peppy and in bangra style. But it strongly reminds us of some old songs of Vidyasagar inspired heavily by punjabi folk by Gurdasman. The song is written by Vairamuthu. In Baasha, the human life was differentiated into 8 parts and here into 3 parts namely childhood, youth and aged. A poet like Vairamuthu could avoid meaningless leads like 'Dippu Dippu Kumari'. Shankar Mahadevan pronounces Baba as Bebe!!! If his intention was to sound stylish,let the fans of superstar forgive him for that.

3. Baba kichu kichu

As usual, Rehman has introduced a new voice to TFM , of Reena Bharadwaj .S.P.B. is the co-singer whose magical voice suits Rajini a lot. A special feature of this song is that, superstar has rendered his golden voice in the beginning.

The new singer seems to have a voice with a cocktail of honey and wine. Though it's a duet song, it's heavily flavoured with Rajini's concepts and present political scenario. It is penned by vairamuthu and it is a commendable job. This song easily sticks to the lips of the listener and will be a sure hit.

4. Maya Maya

Karthik and Sujatha have lent their voices for this masterpiece of the album. The song is in the usual style of Rahman with enchanting tune and haunting beats. It's sure that the fans are going to be crazy when this song is played in the movie .The songs will reverberate in the Top Ten shows in Satellite channels and in the minds of people.

It seems Vaali wote the lyrics in 10 minutes time after listening to the tune of Rahman over phone (from London). Sujatha's voice is as usual as cool as cucumber and the song diverts into various raagas and pitches with different beats.

5. Raajiyamaa

Those hearing this song for the first time will mistake the voice to be KJY but it's by Jeyachandran. No one will believe that this is Rahman's tune because it's totally different and it sounds like Raja's song.

The whole story of the film and Rajini's present mystical status is well projected in this song by vaali. The song flows like "adhisayam adhisayam Periyaar thaan aanadhenna Rajaji" , which created ripples among the DK people who even filed a case stating that Periyaar is derated by this line. But later as Rajini had promised to change the line, the case was withdrawn. This created more publicity to the already much awaited film.

6. Sakthi kodu

The upcoming playback singer Karthik's second song in this album. Rehman should have had enough confidence in him that he's given such an emotional song to him and Karthik has used the opportunity to display his talent. This song flows well with karnatic base and in this song Rajini asks for POWER from God in order to demolish the evils and do service to mankind. This song reminds us of the"Kaalaiyum neeye maalaiyum neeye".

Overall review:

There seems to be a conflict in the number of songs in the album. Some cassettes seem to have the song 'Deivam Intru' sung by Krishnaraj that resembles the song 'singam ontru purappattathey'. Most of them don't.

Generally the album lacks consistency. A lack of involvement is sensed at all the levels starting from the playback singers to the director of the movie. Perhaps, ARR's commitment with "Bombay Dreams" spoilt it all.

Usually Rehman's songs take time to catch people's mind but stay there for long. Hope this will follow the same trend.

Already this album is in the top of the charts and surely Rajini's magnetism will secure this place for long.

Baba

A LOT has been said (much of it on surmise) and written about the film that even a word more could only be redundant. Yet till date all this has been about ``Baba'' in the making. But now at last it is curtains down on the larger-than-life publicity jig with the release of this Lotus International's magnum opus.

Probably it is this incredible hype that has boosted expectations again to unbelievable levels. Does the film live up to it?

Fantasy and fun, fibbing and faith, fiction and reality, graphics and gimmicks have all been mixed with politics and religiosity as undercurrents. Yet nothing emerges clear because the storywriter himself is confused about the course to be adopted.

With Rajinikanth at the helm (he is in charge of the story and screenplay, besides being ``Baba'' and producing the film) the project is a viable proposition indeed.

Baba is a child blessed by the great rishis and sadhus, particularly by the 2,000 year-old living sanyasi in the Himalayas, Babaji. The film goes on to a metaphysical, subconscious or even supernatural plane with Baba going to the Himalayas and meeting the great hermit, without even being completely aware of it. He is taught a mantra, which he could use seven times in his life and get whatever boon he asks for. It is a test by the Gods to know whether Baba would ask something for himself and thereby continue with the cycle of birth and death or be unselfish and put an end to being born again in this strife-torn world. Baba, an atheist at the outset, turns a realised soul and understands the greatness of the Supreme Being.

It is more a self-analysis and soul searching venture by Rajinikanth, on celluloid. And because the hero himself seems undecided about his choices, ``Baba'' leaves the viewer too, equally flummoxed.

There is a host of artistes helping to hold the ``Baba'' banner aloft. Sujatha, Vijayakumar, Sayaji Shinde, Sanghavi, Goundamani, Amrish Puri and many more. And of course there is Manisha Koirala. But when a line-up is spearheaded by Rajini, the others are mere appendages. Yet even there, Sujatha and Goundamani make an impression. Prabhudeva and Raghavendra Lawrence make an appearance in their capacity as choreographers. The inclusion of a Japanese face to the cast reveals the business acumen of the maker.

Sujatha, the mother of Baba, cries out that her son has no education — but why, you wonder. Because the initial affluence and euphoria witnessed on Baba's birthday make you feel that the family is far from poor. Later on she says that they would soon lose the big house they live in, but you are not told why. And again why the hero has to become a coolie is not explained. The screenplay jumps about leaving certain sequences rather vague.

``Maya...Maya...'' and ``Shakti Kodu'' are bound to be added to the long list of A.R. Rahman hits. Also certain quips and punch lines uttered with the right intonation are bound to go down well with Rajini fans.

A notable point about political references is that there is no mud slinging or blatant attack on any regime. Rajinikanth has tread on a sensitive track with diplomacy and care. Yet when political overtones and philosophical strains are knit together, the result can only confound you. ``Baba'' does exactly that. The climax tops it all — a Chief Minister chosen by Baba is shot dead even as Baba walks away from everything worldly, with a group of sadhus. The gunshot makes him turn around symbolically — probably to return to what he wants to leave ... the people around him clap their hands in glee. The death of the CM is not at all a matter of concern to anyone around! Again confusion rules the roost.

"Baba" is director Suresh Krissna's fourth film with Rajinikanth. Comparisons are odious but inevitable too. You tend to think of ``Badsha'' even as you watch ``Baba'' and you wonder at the magic of the former, which still remains unsurpassed.

The Superstar is back with a super project! We all know that Hansraj Saxena, ex-CEO of Sun Group, has turned independent producer with films like Charulatha and Shivani. Now the latest is that he has offered a whopping a Rs 240-crore deal to Rajinikanth for a Tamil film.

And the highlight of this project is that Saxena has asked Rajini to grant him dates for just 30 days to wrap up the big-budget entertainer. Telugu star Ram Charan is also likely to be part of this project. However sources close to the Enthiran star reveal that the actor is in dilemma whether to go ahead with the project as he feels that the amount invested will affect the fortunes of distributors.

It is said that Rajni will be paid Rs. 8 crore a day, the highest ever for any Indian actor.

Actually one song leads to another!

This song has many 'WOW' moments wrt Dance and Expression :) My topmost fav is the one starting at at 1.38! Ithu maathiri ellaam yen ippo yaarum edukkurathilla?!? Don't know even if some ppl may laugh if Rajini does stuff like this, but enakku ithu thaan pudikkum, i am a fan of these kind of expression!

At 3.08 and similar place in 2nd saraNam, Chorus section applied on tribes dancing at far long lower place, whatte idea!, contrasting to the regular dancers dancing near/along with Lead parr! Wonder if this song is done by P.Vaasu! Maybe coreographer's idea!

How can someone define Rajini Style Musically? This song is an example! The starting prelude etc.. Director Shankar has Rajini and Ilayaraja in mind!

Director Shankar, who is busy shooting I in China, has reportedly discussed a script that he is working on with the film’s cinematographer PC Sriram. Though Shankar is known to be one of the extravagant directors in the tinsel town, he is keen on making a simple film on the lines of Mahendran’s Uthiri Pookal and Bharathiraja’s Kadalora Kavithaigal.When he narrated the script to PC Sriram, the cinematographer was awed and immediately opined that Ilayaraja would be the right choice to score the music. To this, Shankar had replied that he also felt the same and also revealed that the script was made with Rajinikanth and Nana Patekar in mind as well.

The Shankar directed super hit has been converted into 3D by the producers and was waiting for a momentous release day

This announcement was tweeted by AVM Productions calling it a treat for Rajni fans. The film has been converted to 3D with a lot of effort by the producers who were on the lookout for the right time to release it.

Looks the special timing and date this year, will make it an unforgettable occasion indeed.

The 3D version of Rajinikanth starrer Sivaji has been trimmed by 30 minutes and the movie is now just 137 minutes. According to reports the edited scenes include the entire Angavai Sangavai scenes, Rajini and Solomon Papaiya Pazhagalam Vaaanga scenes, the fight scene in the music shop and also many of the Rajini wooing Shriya portions. In the second half, the drive- in fight scenes have been trimmed to a great extent. Sivaji in 3D will be released on Dec 12 to coincide with Rajini’s birthday.

It is said that both Rajinikanth and Mani met recently to discuss the project.

Two decades ago, they delivered the blockbuster, Dalapathi which had some great music by Ilayaraja. Even today, the film is considered one of the best in Rajini`s career.

Talks are on between Manirathnam and Rajinikanth and if Dalapathi 2 does happen, it would be a treat for Rajini fans.

Dolby unveils its Atmos technology

The cinematic sound evolution has come a long way. From the mono sound in the early stages to stereo, and then progressing to 5.1 surround and subsequently 7.1 surround sound, acoustics have only got better.
However, even surround sound did not fully complement the human ear, which has a 360-degrees hearing capability. But after witnessing increasing adoption of three-dimensional (3D) visuals, cinema will now see the advent of multi-dimensional audio that promises to substantially enhance the movie experience.
Seeking to give cinema-goers with a lifelike immersive listening experience, sound technology innovator Dolby Laboratories has unveiled its new Dolby Atmos technology in Chennai. The technology was unveiled at Sathyam Cinemas, Chennai which has become the first cinema chain in India with the revolutionary Dolby Atmos audio technology.
Terming the technology as "revolutionary and completely different from an experience perspective," Pankaj Kedia, Country Manager, Dolby Laboratories India said Dolby Atmos will enable truly better sound, by allowing smoother movement of sound and natural audio.
The key highlight of the Dolby Atmos technology is the twin array of overhead speakers on the ceiling of the theatre, as well as support for additional surround sound speakers.
The overhead speakers enable even minute sounds such as the whizzing of an insect or jet, the clap of thunder and lighting, the chirping of birds and even the pitter-patter of raindrops sound strikingly real.
Dolby claims its Atmos technology is a new audio platform that will change the experience of sound in entertainment by delivering a more natural and realistic sound-field and thereby transporting the audience into the story.
Elucidating on the immersive aspect, Kedia quoted acclaimed filmmaker George Lucas, who has said "sound is 50% of the movie experience."
Kedia said Dolby Atmos will have provision for up to 64 channels or speaker feeds and 128 simultaneous and audio streams.
Dolby is expecting Atmos to eventually replace the 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound systems presently in use in theatres.
"Dolby Atmos makes simplified distribution of sound and scalable audio playback in the auditorium possible. It takes into account that every cinema theatre is different is in size and set-up," he added. The company is looking at having around 50 Dolby Atmos-equipped screens in the country by 2013, Kedia disclosed.
Ashim Mathur, Marketing Head, Dolby Laboratories India said Dolby Atmos will be primarily a cinema theatre technology that will draw audiences to theatres for the new audio experience.
Rajinikanth-starrer Sivaji 3D which releases on December 12, 2012 will be the first Indian film to be released with Dolby Atmos. Several major Hollywood studios have released flicks adopting the Atmos technology. These include Disney's 'Brave'; DreamWorks Animation's 'Rise of the Guardians' and Twentieth Century Fox's 'Taken 2', 'Chasing Mavericks' and 'Life of Pi' as well as Peter Jackson's much-anticipated 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' from Warner Bros.
'Gravity' and 'Pacific Rim' also from Warner Bros as well as 'Star Trek into Darkness' from Paramount Pictures will release in the same format in 2013.

Citing this the latest is that a chapter on the Superstar titled 'From Bus Conductor to Superstar', has been included in the Learning to Communicate (Coursebook 6), for CBSE students! This chapter comes under the unit, 'Dignity of Work', and is from the perspective of Bahadur, Rajni's close friend, and the driver of the bus, Rajni was a conductor in!

நான் வந்து.. எல்லாருக்கும் தெரியும் என் பிறந்த நாளன்று நான் ரசிகர்களைச் சந்திப்பதில்லை. 22 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு வரை நான் என் பிறந்த நாளன்று எல்லோரையும் சந்தித்து வந்தேன். ஒருவாட்டி, என் பிறந்த நாளன்று என்னைப் பார்த்துவிட்டு திரும்பிப் போன ரசிகர்கள் கார் விபத்துக்குள்ளாகி 3 பேர் இறந்துவிட்டார்கள். அவர்களின் பெற்றோர் என்னிடம் வந்து ஒரு கேள்வி கேட்டார்கள். அதுக்கு என்னால பதில் சொல்ல முடியல. அந்த கேள்வி என்னன்னு இந்த நேரத்துல நான் சொல்ல விரும்பல.

அதிலிருந்துதான் நான் ரசிகர்களைச் சந்திக்க வேணாம்னு முடிவு செஞ்சேன். அந்த நாள்ல சென்னையில் இருக்கக மாட்டேன். இது எனக்கு ஒரு வகையில் சாதகமாத்தான் முடிஞ்சது. அந்த நாளில் பேன்ஸ் இருந்தா கூட, எங்காவது தனிமையா இருந்து நான் இதுவரைக்கும் என்ன செஞ்சேன், என்ன செஞ்சிக்கிட்டிருக்கேன், என்ன செய்யப் போறேன்… அப்படீன்னு யோசிச்சு திட்டம் போடுவது என் வழக்கம். நினைச்சுப் பாத்துக்குவேன். மிச்செல்லாம் ஆண்டவன் கைல இருக்கு.. நம்ம கைல எதுவும் கிடையாது.

எல்லாமே அந்த ஆண்டவன் கையிலதான் இருக்குன்னு நெனச்சி அன்னிக்கு நான் டிக்கெட் வாங்காம, அதுகூட ஆண்டவன் கைலதான் இருக்குன்னு இருந்துட முடியாது. அதை நாமதான் செஞ்சிக்கணும். அதனால ஓரளவுக்குதான் நாம நினைக்கிறது நடக்கும்.

அதேநேரம் பெரிய பெரிய விஷயங்களையெல்லாம் திட்டம் போட்டா அது நடக்காது. ஒரு நாளைக்கு ஒருத்தன் 1000 ரூபாய் சம்பாதிக்கணும்னு ஆசைப்பட்டான்னு சொன்னா… அவனால் அதை சம்பாதிக்க முடியாது. 90 ரூபா சம்பாதிக்கிறான், அல்லது 500 ரூபா சம்பாதிக்கிறான் அல்லது 2000 ரூபா சம்பாதிக்கிறான். 1200 சம்பாதிக்கிறான், ஆனா சரியா 1000 ரூபா சம்பாதிக்க மாட்டான்.

நாம எப்படி நினைக்கிறமோ அது அப்படியே நடந்திருக்குன்னு நடக்கும்னு இதிகாசம் புராணத்துல கூட கிடையாது.


நண்பன் காந்தியின் மரணம்…

நேத்து அன்று நான் உங்களைச் சந்தித்தது மிக்க மகிழ்ச்சி. 12.12.12 என்பதை அவாய்ட் பண்ணக்கூடாது, அது நல்லாருக்காது. அதுவும் நான் உடம்பு சரியில்லாம இருந்து வந்த பிறகு ரசிகர்கள்லாம் பார்க்க ஆவலா இருக்காங்க. அவர்களை சந்திக்காம இருந்தா நல்லாருக்காதுன்னு சொன்னாங்க. சரி இப்ப சந்திக்கலாம்னு நினைச்சிக்கிட்டிருந்தபோது, என்னுடைய அருமையான நண்பன், உயிர் நண்பன், எப்படி சொல்றதுன்னு தெரியல. அவனை வெளிய நெறய பேருக்கு தெரியாது. ரொம்ப சிலருக்குத்தான் தெரியும். அந்த நண்பன், எனக்கு அனுமான் மாதிரி இருந்த காந்தி… மாரடைப்பால் 10-ம் தேதி இறந்துபோனான். 11-ம் தேதி அடக்கம் பண்ணிட்டு வந்தேன். அந்த சோகத்தை மைன்ட்ல வச்சிருந்து வருத்தத்தோட இருந்தேன்.

என் அப்பா இறந்திருக்கார், அண்ணா இறந்திருக்கார், அம்மா இறந்திருக்காங்க… ஆனா அதைவிட எனக்கு அதிக வேதனையைத் தந்தது காந்தியின் மரணம்.

அப்பா இறந்த போது ரொம்ப வயசாகியிருந்தார். அண்ணன் இறந்ததுக்கு காரணமிருக்கு. அம்மா இறந்தபோது நான் சின்னப் பையன். இன்னும் சில நண்பர்களும் இறந்திருக்காங்க.

காந்தியின் இறந்து போனப்ப ரொம்ப வருத்தப்பட்டேன். ஏன்னா… சில வியாதிகள் உடம்பிலிருக்கும்போது, அதை வெளிய யாரும் சொல்றதில்லை. வெளிய சொன்னா தொந்தரவா இருக்கும்னு நினைச்சி உள்ளயே வச்சிக்கிட்டு காந்தி அதை யார்கிட்டயும் சொல்லல. திடீர்னு சில தினங்களுக்கு முன் காந்தி மருத்துவமனையில சேர்த்திருக்கிறதா சொன்னாங்க. பத்தாம்தேதி கேட்டப்ப இப்போ பரவால்லன்னாங்க. ஆனா அன்னிக்கு நைட் இறந்து போயிட்டதா செய்தி வந்தது.

ஒருவேளை அங்கே உடனே போய் அவனைப் பார்த்து, வேற ஆஸ்பிடலுக்கு ஷிப்ட் பண்ணியிருந்தா காந்தி பொழச்சிருப்பானோ என்ற உறுத்தல் எனக்கு இருந்துகிட்டே இருந்தது.

அந்த பெய்ன்ல நான் நேத்து முழுக்க தூங்கவே இல்லை. அந்த சோகத்தை மறக்க முடியாம இருந்தேன். ரசிகர்கள் எத்தனை மணிக்கு வருவாங்கன்னு கேட்டேன். எட்டு ஒன்பது மணிக்கு வருவாங்கன்னு சொன்னாங்க.

என் வேதனையை மறக்கடித்த ரசிகர்கள்…

ஆனா காலைல 6 மணிக்கே முன்னூறு நானூறு பேர் வந்திட்டிருந்தாங்க. அதுக்கப்புறம் குளிச்சி பூஜை முடிச்சி வெளிய வந்து உங்களையெல்லாம் பாத்தேன். அப்போ என் மனம் அடைஞ்ச மகிழ்ச்சிக்கு அளவில்லை.

உங்களையெல்லாம் பாத்தாதான் அந்த வலி தீரும்னு ஆண்டவன் முடிவு செஞ்சிருக்கான். அது ஆயிரம் கோடி கொடுத்தாலும் கிடைக்காத மகிழ்ச்சி.. உங்களைப் பார்த்ததும் கிடைச்சது. அந்த காந்தி என்ற நண்பனின் மரணம் தந்த வலியை உங்களை பார்க்க வைத்து தீர்க்க வச்சது நிச்சயம் ஆண்டவன் செயல்தான்.

கூட்டம் சேர்க்க முயன்றதில்லை…

அதுக்கடுத்த நாள் வெளியில் போகலாம்னு நினைச்சேன். ஆனால் அன்னிக்கு இதுபோல நிகழ்ச்சி இருக்கு, ரசிகர்கள்லாம் உங்களைப் பார்க்க ஆர்வமா காத்துக்கிட்டிருக்காங்கன்னு சொன்னாங்க. அதனால இங்க வந்திருக்கேன்.

நான் பொதுவா எப்பவுமே கூட்டம் சேர்க்க முயற்சி பண்ணதில்லை. ஏன்னா அதுக்கு எனக்கு அவசியமே இல்லை. கூட்டம் சேர்த்தா மத்தவங்களுக்கு தொந்தரவா இருக்கும். என்னால யாருக்கும் எந்தத் தொந்தரவும் இருக்கக் கூடாதுன்னுதான் நான் கூட்டம் சேர்ப்பதில்லை.

அதனாலதான் 12-ம் தேதி சென்னையிலேயே இருக்கணும்னு பத்து நாளைக்கு முன்னயே முடிவு பண்ணிட்டாலும் அதை பதினொண்ணாம் தேதி ராத்திரிதான் எல்லோருக்கும் சொன்னேன்.

நான் முன்கூட்டியே சொன்னா நிறைய பேரு வெளியூர்கள்லருந்து பஸ், லாரி, வேன்னு கிளம்பி வருவாங்க. அப்படி வந்த பிறகு பாதுகாப்பா பத்திரமா திரும்பிப் போகணுமேன்னுதான், 11-ம் தேதி சொன்னேன்.

மற்றவங்களுக்கு தொந்தரவு கூடாது… ரசிகர்கள் பாதுகாப்பா இருக்கணும் என்பதால்தான் நான் முன்கூட்டி இதைச் சொல்லல.

என் ரசிகர்கள் பவர்புல்லாவங்க, வெறியங்க… 100 பேர் ஆயிரம் பேருக்கு சமம்!

யாருக்கும் சொல்லலியே… கூட்டம் வரலன்னா என்ன பண்றது, வெளிய மட்டமா பேசுவாங்களேன்னு சொன்னாங்க. பரவால்ல… நூறு பேர் இருந்தா கூட போதும். என் ரசிகர்கள் நூறு பேர் ஆயிரம் பேருக்கு சமம்… அவங்க பவர்புல்லானவங்க, பிரம்ம ராட்சசர்கள்.. வெறியங்க…

சரி, வர்றவங்களை எப்படி சமாளிக்கிறதுன்னு எல்லோரும் ஆளுக்கொரு யோசனை சொன்னாங்க. அதுபண்ணலாம், இது பண்ணலாம்னு சொன்னாங்க.. அப்பதான் நான் சொன்னேன்… நீங்க சத்தியநாராயணனை கூப்பிடுங்கன்னு. அவனுக்குதான் இவர்களைச் சமாளிக்க முடியும்னு சொல்லி, சத்திய கூப்பிட்டேன். சில பேரு சொன்னாங்க நான் சத்திய மன்றத்துலருந்து நீக்கிட்டேன்.. ஒதுக்கிட்டேன்னு. அதெல்லாம் இல்ல.. அவன் என் நண்பன். அவன் என்கூடதான் இருப்பான். காந்திக்கு ஆன மாதிரி சத்தியநாராயணாவுக்கும் ஆயிடக்கூடாது. அவனுக்கு உடம்பு சரியில்ல. அதனாலதான் அவனை ரெஸ்ட்ல வச்சிருக்கேன்.”

தப்பா நினைக்காதீங்க.. பிரம்ம ராட்சசர்கள்னு சொன்னேன்னு. பெரிய பெரிய ரிஷிகள், முனிகள், சித்தர்கள் தங்கள் வித்தைகளை யாருக்காவது சொல்லிக் கொடுத்துட்டுதான் இந்த உலகத்தைவிட்டுப் போவார்கள். அப்படி சொல்லிக்கொடுக்காமலேயே இறந்து போகிறவர்கள்தான் பிரம்ம ராட்சசர்களாக உருவெடுத்து குளங்களிலும் மரங்களிலும் வசிப்பதாக சொல்வார்கள். அவர்கள் தவறானவர்கள் அல்ல. சர்வசக்தி படைத்தவர்கள். யாராலும் ஒன்றுமே செய்ய முடியாத அளவுக்கு வலிமையானர்கள். அப்படி ஒரு சக்தி படைத்தவர்கள்தான் ஒவ்வொரு ரசிகனும்…”

நான் அரசியலுக்கு வரவேண்டும் என்று இங்கே சிலர் பேசினார்கள். நான் அரசியல் பேச விரும்பவில்லை. அது கடல் மாதிரி. நான் அரசியலுக்கு அப்பாற்பட்டவன்.

இங்கே ஏடிஎம்கேவும் இருக்கு, டிஎம்கேவும் இருக்கு. போயஸ் கார்டனும் இருக்கு, கோபாலபுரமும் இருக்கு.

நண்பர் கலைஞரிடம் இங்கே அமர்ந்துள்ள வாகை சந்திரசேகர் போய், ஐயா நான் ரஜினி நிகழ்ச்சிக்குப் போகிறேன் என்று கேட்டிருந்தால், போய் வா தம்பி என்று அனுப்பியிருப்பார்.

சரத்குமாரும் ராதாரவியும் புரட்சித் தலைவி ஜெயலலிதாவிடம் போய், நாங்கள் ரஜினி நிகழ்ச்சிக்குப் போகிறேன் என்று கேட்டிருந்தால் நிச்சயம் அனுப்பியிருப்பார். அந்த அளவுக்கு எல்லோரிடமும் நட்பாக இருப்பவன் நான்.

நான் எந்த அரசியல் கட்சியையும் சார்ந்தவன் இல்லை. தமிழ் மக்களை சார்ந்தவன். தமிழ் மக்கள், என்னை வாழ வைத்த தெய்வங்கள். அவர்கள் நலன்தான் எனக்கு முக்கியம்.

1996–ல் ஒரு சூழ்நிலை என்னை அரசியலில் ஈடுபட வைத்தது. இதை இப்போது சொல்லக் கூடாது என்று நினைத்தேன். ஆனால் இங்கே அரசியல் பேசினார்கள். அதிலும் கருணாஸின் விஸ்வரூபத்தைப் பார்க்க முடிந்தது. எனக்கு ஆச்சர்யம், கருணாஸ் இப்படி பேசுவாங்களான்னு… முத்துராமலிங்கத் தேவரையே பார்த்த மாதிரி இருந்தது அவர் பேச்சு.

ஆனால் இப்போது அரசியல் குறித்து நான் எதுவும் பேச விரும்பவில்லை. பொய்யான நம்பிக்கை கொடுக்க விரும்பவில்லை.

1996-ல் அன்றைக்கு அரசியல் எனக்கு சரியா தெரியாது. ஆனா நான் எதுக்கோ சொன்ன ஒரு விஷயம், எப்டியெப்டியோ தீ மாதிரி பரவிடுச்சி. பிஎம் வரைக்கும் என்னை அழைத்துப் போனார்கள். ஆனால் நான் அப்போது தயாராகவில்லை. நான் தயாராக இல்லாத நிலையில், அரசியலுக்கு வரக்கூடாது என்று நினைத்து, என் படம், பெயர், கொடியைப் பயன்படுத்தக் கூடாது என்று அறிவிச்சுட்டு அமெரிக்கா போனேன். ஆனா நான் திரும்பி வந்தபோது, நான் எதிர்ப்பார்க்காததெல்லாம் நடந்துடுச்சி.

உடனே, நீங்கள் பிரச்சாரத்துக்குக் கூட வரவேண்டாம். ஆனால் இப்போது நீங்கள் உங்கள் நிலையை தெரிவிக்கவில்லை என்றால், உங்களை கோழையாக நினைத்து விடுவார்கள் என்றார்கள். நான் கோழை அல்ல.. செத்தாலும் சாவேனே தவிர, பிச்சையெடுத்தாலும் கூட கோழையாக என்னிக்குமே வாழமாட்டேன்.

அதன் பிறகு ஆட்சியிலிருந்தவர்கள் நல்லது செய்தார்களா, கெட்டது செய்தார்களா என்றெல்லாம் பார்க்காமல், நான் முதலில் ஆதரித்து விட்டேன், கமிட்மென்ட் காரணமாக, 5 வருடங்கள் அவர்களை தொடர்ந்து ஆதரித்தேன். கூட்டணி தர்மத்தை மதித்தேன். அதன் பிறகு நான் யாரையும் ஆதரிக்கவில்லை.

என் அருமையான நண்பர் கலைஞர் – அவரை அருமை நண்பர் என்று கூப்பிட எனக்கு என்ன தகுதி இருக்கிறதென்று தெரியவில்லை. ஆனால் அவர் என்னை நண்பர் என்று அழைப்பதால், நானும் அப்படியே குறிப்பிடுகிறேன்- நான் எப்போது சந்தித்தாலும் அரசியல் பேசமாட்டார். நானாக பேசினாலும் கூட, இல்லை தம்பி வேண்டாம் என்று மறுத்துவிடுவார். அதன் பிறகு அவரிடம் நான் அரசியல் பேசவே இல்லை.

அதன் பிறகு ஒரு நிகழ்ச்சி நடந்தது. அது கூட நம்ம படம் தொடர்பாக, ஒரு அரசியல் கட்சியை சேர்ந்தவர்களுக்கு எதிர்ப்பு தெரிவிக்க வேண்டியிருந்தது. அவர்களை கீழே தள்ள வேண்டும் என்று எதிர்க்கவில்லை. நாம் கோழைகள் அல்ல என்பதைக் காட்ட. அவர்கள் சொன்ன விஷயம் சரி. ஆனால் சொன்ன விதம் தவறு. அதை எதிர்க்கவே களமிறங்கினேன். அவர்கள் ஒழுங்கா, கரெக்டா, நியாயமா சொல்லலேன்னுதான் எதிர்த்தேன். அன்றைக்கே நான் சிகரெட் பிடிப்பதை விட்டு விட்டேன். படங்களில் அன்று விட்ட சிகரெட்டை இன்றுவரை தொடவில்லை. வீம்புக்காக அதை படங்களில் செய்திருக்கலாம். ஆனால் சொன்ன விஷயம் நல்லது. அதனால் அதை மதித்துவிட்டுவிட்டேன்.

பொய்யான வாக்குறுதி தரமாட்டேன்…

அரசியல் சாதாரண விஷயம் அல்ல. ரொம்ப ரொம்ப கஷ்டம். யாரையும் சந்தோஷப்படுத்துவதற்காக, பொய்யான வாக்குறுதியை அளிக்க நான் விரும்பவில்லை.

மாநில அரசியல் கட்சி தலைவர்கள் படும் கஷ்டங்களை அருகிலிருந்து பார்க்கிறேன். எந்த அரசியல் கட்சி தலைவரும் சந்தோஷமா.. நிம்மதியா இல்லீங்க. தொண்டர்கள் சந்தோஷமா இருக்கலாம்.. ஆனால் தலைவர்கள் இல்லே.

அரசியல் தலைவர்கள் நல்லவர்கள்தான்…

அரசியல் தலைவர்கள் யாரும் ஜனங்களுக்கு கெட்டது செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று மனசார ஆசைப்படுவதில்லை. நல்லது செய்யத்தான் விரும்பி வருகிறார்கள். ஆனால் அவர்களால் செய்ய முடியாது. ‘சிஸ்டம்’ அப்படி இருக்கு. தமிழ்நாட்டில் மட்டுமல்ல. எல்லா மாநிலங்களிலும் இதுதான் நடக்கிறது.

மத்தியிலோ மாநிலத்திலோ ஒருத்தர் ஆட்சிக்கு வந்து பதவியில ஒருவாட்டி உட்காந்த பிறகு, அதைத் தக்க வச்சுக்க படும் பாடு இருக்கே… அதை அருகிலிருந்து பார்த்திருக்கிறேன்.

தயவு செய்து அரசியல் தலைவர்களைக் குற்றம் சொல்லாதீர்கள். ஒரு கட்சியின் பலமே, அஸ்திவாரமே அதன் தொண்டர்கள்தான். தொண்டர்கள் சரியாக இருக்க வேண்டும். தங்கள் தலைவர்கள் மனநிம்மதியோடு இருந்து, நல்லது செய்ய பாடுபட வேண்டும்.

நேரம் காலம் கனிஞ்சா…

என்னுடைய குரு சச்சிதானந்த சுவாமி சொன்னார், ஒவ்வொரு மனுசனுக்கும் ஒரு தலையெழுத்து இருக்கிற மாதிரி, ஒவ்வொரு நாட்டுக்கும் யார் தலைவரா வரணும்னு ஒரு விதி இருக்கு. அது அப்படித்தான் நடக்கும். அதற்கான கால சந்தர்ப்பங்கள் வரும்போது நடக்கும்.

நேரமும் சூழலும் சந்தர்ப்பங்களும் சரியாக அமைந்தால்தான் அரசியலில் எல்லாம் நடக்கும். ஒருத்தர் வந்து தன்னுடைய அருமை பெருமைகளாலோ, பேச்சாலோ, உழைப்பாலோ ஆட்சியைப் பிடிக்க முடியும் என்பது நடக்காது. நேரம்தான் அரசியல் மிக முக்கியமான விஷயம். இல்லேன்னு சொன்னா.. காமராஜர் மாதிரி ஒரு தலைவர் தோற்றிருப்பாரா? யாராவது நினைச்சிப் பாத்திருப்பாங்களா?

நேரம்தான் காலம்தான் அரசியல் வெற்றியைத் தீர்மானிக்கிறது…”

ஒரு விழாவில் நான் சொன்னேன்… ரசிகர்களைப் பார்க்க எனக்கு கூச்சமா, வெட்கமா இருக்குன்னு. ஏன்னா உடம்பு சரியில்லாமல் இருந்தபோது, நிறைய விஷயங்களை, டாக்டர்களின் ஆலோசனைப்படி என்னிடம் சொல்லாமல் மறைத்து விட்டார்கள்.

டாக்டர்கள் சொல்லியிருக்காங்க, எனக்கு பிபி ஜாஸ்தியா இருக்கு, என்ன விஷயமாக இருந்தாலும் என் கவனத்துக்கு கொண்டு போகக்கூடாதுன்னு.

நான் மெட்ராசுக்கு வந்த பிறகுதான் நியூஸ்பேப்பர்ஸ், மேகஸின்ஸ் எல்லாமே நான் பார்த்தேன். என் ரசிகர்கள் எனக்காக நடத்திய பிரேயர்ஸ்… நான் நலம்பெற வேண்டும் என்று பிரார்த்தனை பண்றது, நடந்து போறது, ஆயிரம் பேர் மொட்டை போட்டுக்கிட்டது, மண்சோறு சாப்பிட்டது, விரதமிருக்கிறது, கோயில்ல, சர்ச்ல, மசூதில பிரார்த்தனை செய்ததையும் படிச்சி தெரிந்துகொண்டேன்.

ஒருத்தர் சொன்னாங்க, மலைமேல உள்ள கோயிலுக்கு முட்டி போட்டுக்கிட்டே படியேறி பிரார்த்தனை செய்தேன். அதனால இரண்டு மாசம் ஆஸ்பிடல்ல ட்ரீட்மென்ட் எடுத்துக்கிட்டேன். ஆனா அதுக்காக எங்க அப்பா அம்மா கூட ஏண்டா இப்டி செஞ்சேன்னு கேக்கலன்னு சொன்னாரு.



இதை அவர் என்கிட்டே சொன்னபோது, அவருக்கு நான் நன்றின்னு சொன்னா.. அது எவ்ளோ சின்ன வார்த்தை… அவருக்கு நான் பணம் கொடுக்க முடியுமா… ஏம்பா இப்டி பண்ணேன்னு கேக்க முடியுமா? அவனுக்கு நான் என்ன திருப்பிக் கொடுபேன்… ரொம்ப வெக்கமா இருக்கு. ராதாரவி சொன்னாரு, ஒரு வாரம் விரதம் இருந்ததா… அதுக்கு எப்படி ரியாக்ட் பண்றதுன்னு தெரியல… உடம்பெல்லாம் ஒரு மாதிரி பண்ணுது.

ஏன்னா… நான் ரொம்ப கொடுத்தேன்னு சொல்ல முடியாது. ஆனா டெபனட்டா யார்கிட்டயும் வாங்கியும் பழக்கமில்லே. எப்டி சொல்றது… என்னோட நன்றி!

ராணா பண்ணும்போது உடம்பு சரியில்லாம போச்சு (தலைவர் ராணா பத்தி சொன்னதை தனியா எழுதினாதான் நல்லாருக்கும்… அதனால இங்கே அதை தரவில்லை!) ராணா என்கிற கேரக்டரை ரொம்ப பெரிசா பர்பார்ம் பண்ணனும்னு முயற்சி பண்றப்பதான் எனக்கு உடம்பு சரியில்லாம போச்சு.

அது சீரியஸா போனதுல என் தப்பும் இருக்கு. உடனே மருத்துவமனையில் சேர்ந்தால், தேவையில்லாத வதந்திகள் வரும்னு உடனே டிஸ்சார்ஜ் ஆகி வந்துட்டேன். டாக்டர்கள் சொன்னாங்க, ரெண்டு நாள்ஆஸ்பிடல்ல இருந்து புல் செக்கப் பண்ணிக்கிட்டு சரி பண்ணிட்டு போங்கன்னு சொன்னாங்க. ஆனா நான்தான் வேண்டாம்னு சொல்லிட்டு வந்தேன். காரணம், ரெண்டு நாள் ஆஸ்பிட்டல்ல இருந்தா தேவையில்லாம வதந்திகள் வரும் என்பதால், வீட்லே இருந்து பண்ணிக்கலாம்னு வந்துட்டேன். அதனால என் உடல்நிலையை நானே கொஞ்சம் ஜாஸ்தி பண்ணிக்கிட்டேன்.

பிகாஸ்… நான் கண்டக்டராக இருந்தபோது, நிறைய மது அருந்தியதுண்டு. அப்போது சில கெட்ட நண்பர்களின் சகவாசத்தால் இது நடந்தது. வாழ்க்கைல அப்பா அம்மா, கடவுளை விட, மனைவியை விட நல்ல நண்பர்களை தேர்ந்தெடுப்பதுதான் முக்கியம். அப்பதான் வாழ்க்கை நல்லாருக்கும். நான் சில கெட்ட நண்பர்களால குடிப்பழக்கத்துக்கு ஆளானேன். அதன் பிறகு நடிக்க வந்த பிறகு குடி இன்னும் அதிகமாகிடுச்சி. நல்ல சரக்கு, சரக்குன்னு தேடி குடிக்க ஆரம்பிச்சு, வேலை வேலைன்னு பிஸியாகி, தூக்கமில்லாம நெர்வ்ஸ் பிரேக் ஆன விஷயமெல்லாம் உங்களுக்கு தெரியும்.

குடியை குறைச்சிக்கிட்டேன்…

அதன் பிறகு திருமணத்துக்குப் பிறகு, என் அருமை மனைவி லதாவின் அன்பாஸலும் ஆதரவினாலும் குடிப் பழக்கத்திலிருந்து மெல்ல மீண்டேன். அதுக்காக நான் ஒரேயடியாக விட்டுட்டேன்னு பொய் சொல்ல மாட்டேன். ஆனால் ரொம்ப ரொம்ப ரொம்ப கம்மி பண்ணிக்கிட்டேன். மது இல்லாம தூங்க முடியும், இருக்க முடியும்ங்கிற நிலைக்கு கொண்டு வந்துட்டேன். யோகா, உடற்பயிற்சி என பண்ணிக்கிட்டிருந்தாலும், சிகரெட் பழக்கத்தை மட்டும் விட முடியல.


என் உடம்பு இவ்வளவு மோசமானதுக்கு காரணமே அந்த சிகரெட் பழக்கம்தான். நான் அனுபவிச்சி சொல்றேன், ரொம்ப அடிபட்டு சொல்றேன்… அந்த சிகரெட் பழக்கத்தை மட்டும் உடனே விட்டுடுங்க. தயவு செஞ்சி விட்டுடுங்க.

எனக்கு இஸபெல்லா ஆஸ்பிட்டல்ல இருந்தப்ப நுரையீரல் பாதிப்பை தொடர்ந்து கிட்னியில் பிரச்னை ஏற்பட்டது. முதலில் சென்னையிலும், பிறகு சிங்கப்பூரிலும் சிகிச்சை பெற்றேன். இந்த நேரத்தில் ரசிகர்களிடம் நான் கேட்டுக்கொள்வது இது தான், தயவுசெய்து சிகரெட் பிடிக்காதீர்கள். அதை இன்றே, இப்போதே விட்டு விடுங்கள்.

எனக்கு உடம்பு மோசமா போனதும், ராமச்சந்திரா ஆஸ்பிடலுக்கு கொண்டு போனாங்க. அங்கு டாக்டர்கள் என்னை அருமையா கவனிச்சிக்கிட்டாங்க. டாக்டர் தணிகாசலம் உள்ளிட்டவர்கள் அப்படி பாத்துக்கிட்டாங்க. அதுக்கப்புறம் நடந்ததையெல்லாம் பின்னாலதான் நான் கேள்விப்பட்டேன். அங்க இருந்தப்போ பெரும்பாலும் என்னை மயக்க நிலையில்தான் வச்சிருந்தாங்க. அதுக்கப்புறம் சிங்கப்பூர் போனேன். சிங்கப்பூர் ஆஸ்பிட்டல்ல இருந்தப்போ என்னோட கிட்னில பாதிப்பு ஏற்பட்டுச்சி. உடம்புல உள்பாகங்கள்ல பாதிப்பு ஏற்பட்டா, ஸ்டெராய்ட் குடுத்துதான் சரிபண்ணுவாங்க. ஸ்டெராய்ட் கொடுக்கும்போது, முதலில் சரியானா கூட, ஆஃப்டர் எஃபெக்ட்ஸ் ரொம்ப மோசமா இருக்கும். எனக்கு நிறைய மெடிசன்ஸ் கொடுத்தாங்க. விவிஐபியா இருக்கிறதுல ப்ளஸ்ஸும் இருக்கு மைனஸும் இருக்கு. எனக்கு மெடிசன்ஸ் அதிகமாயிட்டதால, அதனோட எஃபெக்ட்ஸே ஆறேழு மாசத்துக்கு இருந்தது. இதை நான் இதுவரைக்கும் யாருக்கும் சொல்லல.. ஏன்னா என்னை வாழ வச்ச தெய்வங்களான உங்ககிட்ட இதை முதல்முதலா சொல்றேன்.

இந்த ஸ்டீராய்டு மெடிசன்களால உடம்பு சரியான பிறகுகூட, அந்த பவர் போனதும் அப்படியே உடம்பும் மனசும் வீக்காயிடும். இந்த எஃபெக்ட்லருந்து முழுசா மீண்டு, கடந்த மூணு நாலு மாசமாவே 100 சதவீதம் நான் சரியாகிட்டேன்.

அதுக்கு முக்கிய காரணம், எந்த மெடிசனா இருந்தாலும் அதுக்கு உடம்பு உடனடியா ரியாக்ட் பண்ணனும். உடம்பு ரியாக்ட் பண்ணலன்னா, எந்த மெடிசனும் வேலை செய்யாது. என் உடம்பு வேகமா ரியாக்ட் பண்ண விதத்தைப் பார்த்து டாக்டர்களே அதிசயப்பட்டாங்க. அதைப் பார்த்தபிறகுதான் மருந்தின் அளவை படிப்படியா குறைச்சாங்க.

ஸோ… அந்த ராணா கேரக்டரை உள்வாங்கி, ரொம்ப பெரிசா.. பர்பார்ம் பண்ணனும்னு நினைச்சிருந்தேன்… அதை சரியா சொல்லணும்னா.. த அலடிமேட் வில்லன் கேரக்டர். அந்த கேரக்டர் அறிமுகமாவதே இடைவேளைலதான். அதுக்கப்புறம் ராணாவின் அட்டகாசங்கள் ஆரம்பம். இடைவேளைக்குப் பிறகு அந்தக் கேரக்டருக்கு ஜஸ்டிபிகேஷன்… அருமையான கதையமைப்பு. அதை எடுக்க முயற்சிக்கும்போதுதான், மருத்துவமனையில் சேர வேண்டியதாயிடுச்சி!” என்றார்.

உண்மையில் இதை அவர் சொல்லி முடித்தபோதே, நமது மனதுக்குள் ரஜினி ராணாவாக திரையில் அதகளம் பண்ணுவதை விஷுவலைஸ் பண்ண முடிந்தது. அதான் சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் வார்த்தைக்குள்ள அபார ஆற்றல்!

The market is abuzz as a leading financial daily has reported that Superstar Rajinikanth’s next film will be directed by KV Anand for producers Eros International.

Kamal Jain, group chief financial officer—India, Eros International Media is quoted as saying - “We have already signed the deal for Rajinikanth's third movie (after Kochadaiyaan and Rana—both under production). This film will be made by KV Anand of Ko fame. The name of the film is yet to be decided.”

Remember Eros is in the process of completing Rajinikanth’s Soundarya Rajinikanth directed Kochadaiyaan, which is being shot using motion capture technology and is slated for release in the first quarter of fiscal 2014.

Rajinikanth had a sneaking admiration for KV Anand from his Sivaji days. Rajini was impressed by Anand’s shot composition as a cinematographer in the Shankar directed Sivaji. Two of Anand’s films Ayan and Ko also was liked by the superstar for its right mixture of commercial ingredients with the story.

They have been in discussion for the last six months on the script of the film. Anand had kept his meetings with the superstar a top secret and in fact threw the media off the scent by hinting of doing a film with Vijay.

Its just a grim episode in Sri-Langan history(like many other countries before , US, Japan,Germany). Move on. They fought for something , they paid the price period.
By indulging in these unwanted protests and drama, They are jeopardizing even that little bit of communal harmony that's left in SL. Y(s)ouths who are protesting here in TN have got nothing to loose they can still go back to their home for hot meal paid by their hard working parents. Think about what it will do for people living in refugee camps. Giving speech and TV TRP rating is different thing that the ground reality.
If you really want to help, donate the money what are spending on these protests to Red Cross or some international aid agency to help people in need.

Rajinikanth lauds film on organ donation -Indiatoday

Superstar Rajinikanth has appreciated the team behind the recently released Tamil thriller-drama Chennaiyil Oru Naal"(CON) for highlighting the importance of organ donation through the movie.
"We don't realise the importance of our body parts after death. Instead of wasting these parts, if we choose to donate them, then it might very likely save a life. I congratulate the team of CON for making a responsible film on the importance of organ donation," said Rajinikanth in a statement.
The film, remake of Malayalam hit film Traffic, was inspired by a real-life incident. The story revolves around how the heart of a donor is transported to save a life within 90 minutes.
It was directed by debutant Shaheed Khader.
The film featured an ensemble cast of R. Sarath Kumar, Radikaa Sarath Kumar, Prasanna Venkatesan, Parvathi Menon, Iniya, Jayaprakash, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, Mano Bala, Santhana Bharati and Suriya.
Talks are on to remake the film in Kannada and Hindi as well.

தன் நண்பர் ஒருவருடன் ரஜினி தன் கேளம்பாக்கம் பண்ணையில் ஜாலியாக பேசிகொண்டிருந்தார். அப்போது இங்கிருந்து 4 கி.மீ தொலைவில் ஒரு பஜ்ஜி கடை உள்ளது மிகவும் அருமையாக இருக்கும் என நண்பர் சொல்ல, ஆர்வம் கொண்ட ரஜினி வாங்க நம்ம போய் சாப்டலாம் நு சொல்லியிருக்கிறார். அதிர்ச்சி அடைந்த நண்பர் ,சார் நீங்க எப்பிடி சார் வரமுடியும்? மக்கள் உங்களை கண்டுவிட்டால் கூட்டம் கட்டுபடுத்த முடியாது சார் என்று சொல்லிருக்கிறார். கவலைபடாதீங்க நான் மாறுவேடமிட்டு அவ்வபோது மக்களோடு சராசரி மனிதனை போல நடமாடுவது வழக்கம் என்று அவரை சமாதான படுத்திவிட்டு இருவரும் வெள்ளை நிற பியட்டில் சென்றுள்ளனர். மணியோ இரவு 8.30. கடைக்கு இரண்டு தெரு அப்பால் காரை ஒரு ஓரமாக நிறுத்திவிட்டு ரஜினியும் அவர் நண்பரும் கடைக்கு நடைகட்டியுள்ளனர்.ஒரு 85 வயது முதியவரை போல் மாறுவேடமிட்திருந்த ரஜினியை அவ்வளவு எளிதில் கண்டுபிடிக்க இயலவில்லை யாராலும் . கடைக்கு போகும் வழியில் ஒரு மூதாட்டியை பார்த்த ரஜினி, என்ன அம்மா இங்க இருக்கீங்க என்று கேட்க ஒன்றுமே சொல்லாமல் அமைதியாக இருந்த பாட்டியிடம் மீண்டும் ரஜினி என்ன மா ஏன் இந்த இரவில் வீட்டுக்கு போகாம தனியாக இங்கு இருக்கிறீர் என்று கேட்க. கொஞ்சம் தண்ணி கிடைக்குமாபா என்று இறுகிய குரலில் பாட்டி கேட்க , அடுத்த 3 நிமிடத்தில் தண்ணீர் பாட்டியிடம்.

இப்போ சொல்லுங்கம்மா என்று ரஜினி கேட்க , இறுகிய முகத்துடன் இருந்த பாட்டி கூறியது, என் கணவர் ராணுவத்தில் பணியாற்றி நாட்டுக்காக உயிர் இழந்தார். இரண்டு பிள்ளைகளையும் ரொம்ப கஷ்டப்பட்டு நல்ல நிலைமைக்கு கொண்டுவந்தேன். இன்று அவர்கள் என்னை வீட்டை விட்டு வெளியே போக சொல்லிவிட்டார்கள். 3 நாளாக இதே இடத்தில் தான் இருக்கிறேன் என் பிள்ளைகள் தேடி வருவார்கள் என்ற நம்பிக்கையில், ஆனால் வரவில்லை. அடுத்தவர்களை பார்த்து கை ஏந்தும் நிலை நாளை முதல, ஆனால் அப்பிடி ஒரு நிலை வந்தால் என் உயிர் என்னை விட்டு பிரிந்து விடும். நீங்க போங்க அய்யா தண்ணீர் கொடுத்ததற்கு ரொம்ப நன்றி என்று கூறி பாட்டி அயர்ந்து தூங்கி விட்டார் தெருவோரம். ரஜினியும் நண்பரும் கிளம்பிவிட்டனர் இறுகிய மனதுடன்.

மறுநாள் காலை விடிந்தது, எழுந்தவுடன் பாட்டி கண்முன் ஒரு கார்.

The latest buzz in Kollywood is that Rajnikanth and Shankar are currently in last stages of finalizing their 3rd venture together after their successful Sivaji and Enthiran which turned out to be blockbuster hits. It is being reported that Shankar narrated the story outline to Rajnikanth and got it approved. If the buzz is true, then the successful duo will join hands once again after completing their movies respectively.

Sakikkala .. Thillu mullu is my most fav Rajini movie and these guys made a crap in the name of remake .. Siva .. unnoda mokkai thaangala .. Stop this nonsense :arrg

there is always this risk in taking such remakes when the original was a very good movie....Parasakthi padathai remake pani, innaiku irukkara naatu nadappai vachu SL la irunthu Tamilnadu vara thamizhan nu oru character vachu athula Dhanush ah nadikka vacha eppadi irukkum sollunga :) ...better to take flop / average hit movie and remake it..something like Naan avanillai.......... i think (not sure though) the original was a flop.........
