Pazhassi Raja audio launched [September 23, 2009, 2:41:42 PM]


The audio of Malayalam super star Mammootty's magnum opus historical film Pazhassi Raja, being directed by Hariharan in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, was launched at the Gokulam Park auditorium in Kochi on Sunday evening.

Mammootty released the audio and handed over the first CD to Tamil actor Sarathkumar. Oscar winning sound mixer Resul Pookutty was one of the chief guests of the event. Music director Ilayaraja could not attend the function as he was on a foreign tour.

Produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Gokulam Films, Pazhassi Raja will be released on October 2 (Gandhi Jayanti). It was censored with a U/A certificate recently by Thiruvananthapuram Regional Censors on August 31.

Scripted by M.T. Vasudevan Nair, the film has Mammootty playing the title role of legendary ruler and warrior Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja. Popular Tamil-Telugu actor Suman plays the villain, Pazhaiveetan Chandu and Sarathkumar plays Edachena Kunkan, the chief lieutenant of Pazhassi Raja. Kanihaa and Padmapriya are the heroines.

Hi

I am trying to get some info. Any help is much appreciated.

1. what is the right way of saying Pazhassi Raja பழச்சி ராஜா or பழசி ராஜா.

2. Who penned the songs in Tamil, the same people penned in Malayalam?

I had difficulties in writing the lyrics in Tamil, as they were bit classical (due to the historical nature of the film.).
