Same old story continues. I thought KKR has a strong chance to make to the top 4 this time but now that has taken a beating after watching the way they played against the Royals. When Fasal, Jhunjhunwala could explode at the same pitch, I don't know why a team which boasted the names of Hodge, Saurav, Shah, Mathews failed miserably. They never looked comfortable from the very first ball they chased.

Remember, the same thing happened in the first edition of the IPL as well. KKR started the IPL with a few wins and then wobbled. I will not be surprised if the same thing gets repeated. Honestly, after yesterday's match, KKR looks to be the weakest side of the tournament.

There is nothing special to talk about the KKR. As of now, KKR should not be allowed to play in IPL. When a bowler like jumping Dinda is selected to play in a team, what is going to happen? I agree Mumbai didn't handle the pressure situations and lost so many close matches in the previous two editions. I am actually talking about this year alone. Their performances this year don't warrant a comparison with KKR. Everyone knows how bad KKR was till last year. manoj tiwary's domestic records r outstanding but he has failed here in 3 out of 4 matches.

Yesterday, he made many people to eat their words and even many would have stunned particularly after his explosive assault in the 20th over. It was a beautifully constructed traditional innings with little errors. He is one of the unconventional players which makes him interesting to watch. Lot of flaws may be in his techniques. But he played all unconventional strokes both off his front as well as back foot. He seems to be at home against the pacers than spinners. But the gap between bat and pad makes him vulnerable against the big inswingers. While his consistency is little bit like a Marlon Samuels of West Indies but with contrasting style.

Sourav made a positive 50. But he has given away atleast 10 to 20 runs while fielding and running between the wickets was absolutely terrible. Had he stretched his back little more KKR should have scored 200 runs yesterday. After his recent show, I felt that the time has came for Sourav to pick mike rather than bat. Ajit Agarkar and Bond among wickets is a good sign for KKR. Inconsistent Agarkar bowled brilliantly in the end overs even though the match was in their bag. However, Bond is yet to pick up. Anyhow, it was not a match that pleased my eyes except a few moments like Manoj Tiwari's explosive innings in the end, his catch (like a crocodile) to dismiss Yuvraj and Yuvraj's classy six. On song, natural striker of the cricket ball like Yuvraj is a treat to watch.

More importantly KKR won this match without the services of the underrated left arm spinner Murali Kartik who is also the best economical bowler of IPL as far as I am concerned.

Fielding is very ordinary, it will cost them big in close matches. Sanga is banned for slow over rate. To be frank Sourav is one of the reasons for that. He took lot of time to adjust his pads gloves etc in every over. He ran single wen there was two, no run wen there was single. We know he is very poor btw the wkts, In T20 its crime. We could have got extra 10+ runs.
Saha is excellent behind the stumps. He is equally good keeper like Dhoni or Next only to him. IMO. I alreay told this few times. He will have a great future if he improvise his batting. KKR scored 180+ with out much contribution from gayle and hussey. Bond gave just 4 runs in his first two overs. Hope they wil keep this same against in coming matches too. :-)
