By simble math,PSTL bought it for 65C, it should have made ~80C, to be profitable for all. PSTL has reported 44C, the exhibitor (the movie was released in many areas by PSTL themselves) loss is anybody's guess. how have u used ur SIMBLE MATH in this post??

audio video rights, TN, AP, kerala, karnaaka, Overseas nnu serthu thsy shud had sold with approx with 20C profit, making it 80C. atleast 10C

Pyramid made a loss of 40+crore. Doesn't mean the movie collected the remaining amount. Some of the burden was passed on to the exhibitors which is why they were up in arms

In other words, total loss = Pyramids loss of 40 Crore + X Crore for the exhibitors

The movie did not collect 20-25 crores. Yeah, nice try but won't work!

40+Cr loss what is projected not purely.. on the filim alone please lets think for a change. its the way a PSL has marketed this movie. major part of this loss is bcoz of the over hype created for a guest appearnce movie and supply chain cost . And even they gone to an extent of calling this the most expensive Rajini Movie made by them is a joke.. :lol:

Anyway just to give you another example BABA total production cost was about 5cr and total revenue that movie generated prior to its release was 60 Crs. (Incl of 10Cr. Pepsi endorsment). Now Net that movie made lil over 8 Cr (when the actual movie was sold with audio Satellite etc etc ..) refer to Businessweek on that year they carried the complete article, It has this movie marketing has put the best market teams in the country to shame..

You may not be able to the same with other production / ditribution houses because most of them would not be ready to give the exact profit or loss made ...
