After a magnum opus

After the last from you,
we still await the next
OK, come alone
to see the thing which I cherish in my chamber
towering the previous one
and the ones of others too before.
Keeping it open I dream
looking atit and me holding it aloft
like Martina Navratilova each time, a beam
it goes like the soaring of an eagle
and possible swoop down I fear
but the eagle soars again
always again and again,
it is a risk
eagles take.
