Comparison of IR and Others

We can take two songs composed for same situation, same mood or similar lyrics and then compare them. One should be from IR and other need not.

Lets start the comparision :lol:

1) Chittukku chella chittukku - Nallavanukku nallavan - IR
2) Oru pen pura - Annamalai - Deva

Both for super * for same kinda situation. In fact the first song was the inspiration of 2nd song for Deva, I believe. Surprisingly Deva had come out very well with KJJ again (what a voice).

It is hard to select which one is best??

1) Kadhalin Deepam Onru - Thambikku entha ooru - IR - SPB - Rajini
2) Kaalangalil Aval Vasantham - ???? - KVM - PB Srinivas - Gemini

though both are great song and well composed for male lover to glorify the love and his lover, the first song was sligthly better, i think

1.Ennavendru solvathamma - Rajakumaran
Pennala Pennala - Uzhavan
Both have similar themes of the hero describing how his future wife should be .My choice ,just by a small margin ,the second one .

2.Nathiye Nathiye - Rythm
Malayaal Kariyoram - Rajathi Raja (?)
Both have heroes singing about the nature ,esp in Mallu environment .My choice the second one ,any time.


3.Kurangu Kayil Maalai - Mumbai Xpress
Thara Thom - Kadhal Kadhal -KR
Botha re playe din background ,when there is a commotion/confusion.My choice is teh first one - by all means if its pitted against all the jazz songs

4.Annaene pen yenna - Rajni Movie (IR)
Kann Ponna pokkilae - MGR - MSV
Both are philosphical songs sung bya top hero ina party.
Just because its MSV-Vaali- TMS ,i like second one very very much .

yes i agree, pennalla pennalla song of ARR is slightly better than IR's.


but when coming to your 4 comparision, as stand-alone song MGR song might better but while watching with picturisation and sitution??

OK This is not agreat comparison

1.Ketkavillaya - Madhu
Vennilave - Minsara Kanavu
Both are duets ,with teh female voice joining in teh second charanam .heroines aspire to become nuns .

OK - my voice is second one ,but considering the fact that madhu is so stupid movie ,i would say first one is as good as the second one

2.Anjali Anjali -Anjali
Sundari - Kannathil
Both are kid songs ,centered on a single kid .Both have problems with their birth .
My choice ,first one any time (though second one comes v close)

3. New New -New
Iravu Nilavu -Anjali
This is because both the songs represents kids grown to adults (physically /mentally)
Second one wins by miles .First one is absolute dud (Cant accept this song for this situation in any case ).
