Kameswari Iyer has been reporting the cultural events regularly for Anada Vikatan.
In the issue dated 17-01-07, the reporter has given a false picture to the readers regarding the popular Swati Tirunal Padam, “Kamaka maya maayeedum, kamala vaahanam athin mael.” I do not know how it happened. Either it could be the result of poor performance BY Leksmi Gopalaswami or ignorance of the reporter.
The song is from “ULSAVA PRABANDAM” penned by the royal composer. It gives the picture of the ten day festival celebrated at the Temple of Sree Padmanabha every six months.
