Athbudam the first ever film to have completed in two hours and 14 minutes will hit the screen today. Jayarajan the director shares the experience of this new experiment.
With no distributors or film promoters to release this film, the director has hired KALABHAVAN the theater owned by the government for three days.
The theme is euthanasia. “I have tried to capture the heart rendering last moments of a patient who craves for, mercy killing. The 76 minute film has tried to create a back ground of the hospital in Oregon. The shooting was completed in Hyderabad in the Ramoji Rao film city. Though we thought it would take 10 hours, we could finish it with in record time. I was done with a single camera. Suresh gopi as Vasu essays the main role. KPAC Lalitha, Nedumbram Gopi, Kaavalam Sree KUMAR, Naushad Lawrence and a few foreigners make up the cast.
The director said that this film incurred a cost of 52 lakhs. Madampu kunjikuttan has done the screen play and S kumar cranked the camera.
