MY TEARS
- Isaimani
I like to cry to let go my tears,
Tears that bear my love and pain,
That hide and mask my inner soul
Carrying all that is me and mine
Tears are my open windows
Through which I take a peek
At a world of pure innocence
And pray that's all I seek.
Let not my tears be made of glass,
That shatter by a throw of sorrow,
For they are built of solid rock,
That sing the song of tomorrow.
I like to cry to see my tears roll by,
As they sing my memories aloud
That chase the rainbow of my hope.
To become an ocean I 'm proud.
I like my tears to talk to my heart
Of days of sunshine, nights of despair
Of times that went by that lit my soul
To comfort my past beyond compare
I can hear my tears, caress them all,
Hold them when my heart is steady,
Wipe them dry or make them small,
No matter where and whenever ready.
My tears are pearls unlike we know
Spotless with love and love alone,
Clean and clear to sunshine snow,
Warm and cold like evening cologne!
I like to cry for to cry makes me tender
In my thoughts and deeds, day and night,
For weeping makes not surrender
When I cry for my love to hold me tight
I like to cry but not weep for my soul
I choose to weep when I cannot regain
My peace and quiet that took my toll.
When I get a chance I'll cry cry again!
Oh Lord ! Give me back my tears,
That make me live and endure,
Life that knocked me all these years
But let me keep my sanity pure!
