I am a vegetarian and thought of sharing this useful information with you all.

Still, some of the cheese manufacturers use rennet during cheese making. The active ingredient of rennet is the enzyme, chymosin (also known as rennin). The usual source of rennet is the stomach of slaughtered newly-born calves.

Anyway, there are companies which use microbial enzymes (either fungal or bacterial sources) for coagulating the milk (Few examples in US: Horizon organic, Cabot (most of their cheeses) etc)

I am not sure I wanna know!I am vegetarian too but I live in the US and sometimes u have to attend some corporate parties and u never know what u r eating. Its very hard to watch out for everything we eat..dont u agree?

Yes, I know it. I too live in the US. But, I find the list useful as I cook mac & cheese / pizza at home very often and buy cheese for that. Also, we buy the American cheese regularly for sandwiches.

That is why I thought the sites will be useful. If it is not, just forget about it, sorry please.
